  1. GREAT WIN RANGERS. CONGRATULATIONS ON A SUPER WIN OVER Cosby. YOU PLAYED WITH HEART AND WAS DETERMINED TO WIN. WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU.....
  2. wasn't referring to your house personally, was referring to Cloudland in general. Gotta go cheer on the lady rangers!!!!!!!!
  3. I think sportiemom must still be dizzy from the drive up the mountain. I think flyswatter said that and I don't have a clue who that is. But my team is the mighty RANGERS.....
  4. We're not trying to justify it, just letting you know that before you start pointing fingers at us you need to step back and take a look at your own house.
  5. I'll have to agree with sportiemom...we've took crap from the fans and PARENTS of Cloudland players both girls and boys for 4 years that I know of. If it had been your child that they were cussing could you have sat there and been "sportsman like" I doubt it. And no you don't have to repeat yourself, you said parents not fans or players. But a spades a spade. Bad sportsman ship is just that whether it's fans, players or parents. You know sportiemom is right, it probably was wrong to stoop to your level and boo the girls, but as parents we've taken a lot of crap from Cloudland for a long time and I'm surprised that this hasn't happend way before now. But bottom line is, you're at the house and we're not. Your fans, parents and players are just as guilty as the Unaka side was so stop pointing fingers.
  6. you've got some good kids and parents on the Cloudland boys team. It's some of the fans that you bring with you are the jerks. It's a shame that an (adult) and I use that term loosely, was yelling profanities at Rusty C. and at Donald the entire game. When Rusty won his awards this one person in particular was booing and still yelling profanities at Rusty. You know it's like Rusty said, individual accomplishments are great but he plays for the team not for himself. He said he'd be glad to share the MVP of the Tournament with Tolley because he had a great tournament and deserved the award as well. In the previous post someone said that rusty didn't give himself the award, but he was proud to accept it. Maybe the highlander fan didn't agree with the award and I'm sure he wasn't the only one that disagreed with it but the way he conducted himself was ridiculous. At least the Unaka fans just booed and didn't shout obscene remarks toward the players. So don't get on here and start on the Ranger fans, your fans started it at Milligan and it just happened to carry over to last night. I think you have selective memory loss as to what your girls did last year at milligan? Do I need to refresh your memory? Probably not....
  7. Hey Abe,, Just wondering if you're really as stupid as you sound???? How on earth do you think that tim "crying" would have any impact on the the selection of the MVP? Why don't you share some of your great knowledge about the procedure they use to choose the MVP? Just accept the fact that Unaka won, and that two good teams played a great game and leave it at that. I guess if you do need someone to blame for the loss or anything else that didn't go your way, you could blame Tim or the refs or maybe the fans or perhaps the concession workers ..etc. if you get my drift. I know how you feel about the MVP, Rusty got screwed out of it last year by a JR. for UH.. Not taking anything away from Tolley he's a great player as is all the players from Cloudland. Tim had no input whatsoever as to the choosing of the MVP. He did get to vote on the all tourney team and the girls MVP. He declined to vote on the boys because of Rusty. I'm sure that Rusty would be proud to share the MVP with Tolley..No one comes out a winner when we get on here a down the other players.. Let's just say that boys and girls for both teams played great and we'll see you in Hancock..
  8. Jughead I don't think I said I knew who you were. That would be juicyjoe and I have no clue who that is. I could care less about who anyone is on this board. What I do care about is all this mean stuff about Rusty. If I hurt any parents or childs feelings it was not intentional and I truly apologize. Sportiemom is the only one on here I know and I appreciate you taking up for Rusty. Rusty IS a good kid and sometimes he does try to do too much, but the key word here is kid. Not going in to that debate again. As for Beckypit, if you have anymore negative comments concerning rusty, please keep them to yourself or tell me in person you know who I am. As juicyjoe said...Love and Peace :justwrestle:
  9. INAPPROPRIATE, ESPECIALLY COMING FROM A MOTHER Why don't you tell this crap to Rustys face you gutless coacht poster. At least everyone knows I'm his mom. You just couldn't let it end. It was over, but no you just had to stir it up again. I'm sure this will make him feel really good when someone tells him what was said, and no it won't be me. And as far as talking about the coaches behind their back, well you're full of crap just like your post. And having more than one screen name, well I noticed that you just got yours today. Did it take you this long from your last post to get the new name? Oh and by the way next post please use a period. I'm worn out trying to read all your garbage without any punctuation. Let this crap die and let the boys play ball. Thank goodness baseball is around the corner..... Totally different set of parents, totally different set of kids.
  10. I think we've all forgotten that we're supposed to be the adults and that their the kids. We need to step back, take a breath and let the kids play. The kids all get along and it's a shame that the parents can't. We get caught up in the heat of the game and say things that we normally wouldn't say under less stressful circumstances. The posts on this board are opinions only and probably every post on here about Unaka has a bit of truth in it. The kids read this crap and I'm sure they take most of it seriously. That's one reason that Rusty isn't to be on CoachT. He sees this stuff and he feels responsible for their losses. So from this point on I've stopped. Jughead, Tdog I suggest you do the same. We all should encourage each player whether it's your child or someone elses. Sometimes we forget that their on the same TEAM. Looking forward to a "peaceful" rest of season. See you guys Monday..
  11. Hey Juggheadboy...You know very well that CoachTdog and I are related. Boy his post must have hit a nerve with you. I thought you had a girl playing???? I re-read his post and he did not point a finger at anyone. If you can sit in those stands and honestly tell me that the whole TEAM is playing up to their potential then you must have better eyes than I do. If you'll go back to my post, I was the first to say that Rusty didn't play well and also in a previous post from OSUBRUTUS, I agreed that he needed to play better defense. No one on here is bashing the team. They need to be motivated, their a good bunch of boys and they all get along. And you know if you were honest, you've coached your child from the car, the den, the livingroom and anywhere else you could. Parent's always think they know more than the coaches. You know that TDog didn't mean anything personally against any particular one on the team. You may have read that into it for some reason but he didn't. Also you mentioned his profession...well that would be an administrator for the state of TN and I really don't know how that ties into the mix of things on this board. You two are grown men, quit hiding behind this board. If you've got a problem with tdog, tell him. I don't think he'll care but I'm sure he'll listen. Also as far as coaches go, Donald and Johnny are the best. I don't always agree with what they do, but then again I don't have too and they could care less if we do. They know what's best for the team and thats all that matters. Could Rusty play better, certainly but so could everyone else. He did take bad shots but who didn't. Did he miss layups, yes he did but he wasn't alone. Did he miss the 3, yes he did but he wasn't alone there either.
  12. Thomas and Daniel were and still are great basketball as well as baseball players And Kasey was fantastic in football. The Rangers could have definately used both of them last night. Thomas is Rustys biggest fan (next to his mom lol). Another night, another game....
  13. Thomas Guess, Daniel McInturff and Kasey Garland
  14. This thread Cloudland upsets Unaka, we weren't upset, heck we weren't even mad. We lost the game, plain and simple. We didn't take care of business down the stretch and that's the bottom line. So many parents want to put the blame on every other kid but their own, but I was at the game and I'll be the first to say it that my son DID NOT play up to his potential, but neither did the other players. We fell apart in the fourth quarter and blew it. Did one player do too much? maybe but did four others not do enough? that's possible also. We can point fingers all day but you know what I say...We win as a team and we lose as a team. You know you've got parents, grandparents, Uncles, aunts in the stands keeping "lists" of other players performance. How many times did they shoot, how many foul shots were missed and so on. Instead of keeping "lists" they need to have their son, or nephew in the gym practicing foul shots, simple lay-ups and ball handling skills. There are no super-stars on this team. They are a TEAM. I think the kids know that and it's certainly time that the parent knew it too. I'll be the first to tell my son that he had a great game, but I'll also let him know if he didn't. It's easy as parents to tell your kid, oh honey it's ok, it wasn't your fault. So-and-so just didn't play well or if they would just get YOU the ball, etc. As parents we need to quit trying to coach these boys and let Donald and Johnny do their job. Hey, I'm as guilty as the next person. But we can't put the blame on one person for losing nor one person for winning. Again it's all TEAM..... P.S...Good Game McCann....
  15. Preach on sportiemom. You hit the nail on the head with that last post. It won't do any good but it feels good to get it off your chest doesn't it?
  16. Man Brutus, ESP all the way. I've thought that a hundred times. The Rangers are a good bunch of boys and for the most part they do play as a team. I don't think that Rusty does anything that would make his teammates jealous other than play ball. He doesn't show-boat, nor is he a ball-hog. Sometimes someone has to step-up and lead and that's what he does. University High is a prime example of that. He always has the best interest of the team at heart and his #1 goal is to win. And I do agree with you OSU, he is better at baseball.
  17. Hey Abe, What a great observation about a kid who is 6'1, who works his tail off and averages 20 points a game. Granted he's not the "most" athletic player on the floor he just plays the game with love and passion. He draws the top defensive player every game, has double digits in assits and near that many rebounds in every game. He also shoots 86% from the foul line. He basically can play any position on the floor, and hustles his butt off. He proved his toughness in the Celina game scoring 18 points after having his nose sewed up. He played with a 102 temp against North Green and also with Knox Catholic. But more importantly he never complains. He knows that it's TEAM ball and he has 4 other young men on the floor who are more than capable of leading the team. Could he play better defense, why of course. I don't know of any one kid on a high-school team that plays perfect ball. But you know what "HONEST" Abe, thats a typical observation from a jealous Highlander fan that can't give credit where credit is due. Your one track mind is nothing more than Blue & Gold and anything else doesn't matter. And by the way, I"m his mom and I'm proud of it.
  18. Thanks Diggs, I appreciate that. He's definately not the best but he does have the best interest of the team at heart. You've got one great kid in "little diggs", he's funny as heck and he's already showing that he knows how to play ball. He'll be unstoppable next year. Hopefully by tournament time, the rest of the team will know their roles and play them. I do agree with you on the team ball, it doesn't matter how many you score if you lose then your whole team loses. As you've said before YOU WIN AS A TEAM AND YOU LOSE AS A TEAM. Hopefully everyone will apply that to the next game. See you Tuesday.
  19. hey ucdaddy...the doctors make something that can help you ummmmmm I think it's call PROZAC. You definately need to get over the whole, billy bad a@# thing and let these kids be kids. If I were betting, your kid, as was yourself was the class bully. You apparently get off on this aggressive talk. Glad you're not my DADDY!!!!! Your a top notch role model
  20. That is a good point region 2 is very well balanced with good competition and great teams.Yes Harriman did beat Unaka once in overtime at Unaka when they had them down by 15 at one point in overtime and the other by 5 at there place. When Unaka played Cosby at Unaka they beat them by 1 when they played down there they got beat by 10 so either way if Unaka plays Harriman or Cosby they will most likely play them at Unaka because Unaka will win there region and host a substate at home and everyone knows that Unaka is one of the toughest places to win at in East Tennessee good luck to who ever faces them out of region 2 exspecially at our place.
  21. Unaka has the weapons to compete for a state title tough press good coaching and great players with a hard work ethic they proved that the other night against Chattanooga Mcallie playing very hard and very smart and not rushing things in the 4th quarter keep doing everything your doing and keep playing hard and you will find yourselves playing for a shot at the state championship in the murfreesburro.
  22. Hey sportiemom..good post but you forgot sparky..that's their sister
