I have heard that Larry Davis is the new HBC, again.

Ogre Adam Kilby was a senior last year. I think Wartburg keeps it close. I don't think the mercy rule will come into play in this one. I'm going with the Tigers but I will say 20-13.

I agree Sportsnetwriter2. I too think this team is very young and will only get better with time. Grace wins this one with ease IMO.

The McKinney boy is good player but like someone else said he is young and will make mistakes. Those mistakes might not have been so bad if they kept their running backs healthy and not have to rely solely on McKinney to make plays. Who will Coalfield turn to in the running back slot?

How will this game turn out? Rockwood is coming off a big win at Oneida and this will be the dogs first game of the season. Will Wartburg be able to slow down the Tigers enough and get a little revenge from last season? Or will Rockwood go to 2-0?

How are the teams looking for this coming season? I know Coalfield had a scrimmage against Clay County and looked pretty good from what I hear. How did Wartburgs scrimmage go? I haven't heard from anyone in Oakdale or Sunbright but any news out that way?

Heard Wartburg had a scrimmage against Sweetwater this week. Do they match up well?

Just heard that Wartburg has their spring practice the first week of May. When are other teams going? I would like to see some ball. Scrimmages?

Quitting your senior year is crazy. This will be the last time they will ever play football again. I'm sure they will regret it later on. If it's true that they didn't want to work out then that shows just how much they cared about winning anyway.

I heard about Taylor but why did the others quit? Saying that "they are the Senior Talent that was going to lead the team" is a bit of a reach. I think there are other seniors and underclassmen on the team that will step up and do just fine.

I wonder if Coalfield would want any more? I would take Coalfield in the football contest and LV in The Brawl Part Deux

It's good to hear about some of the teams. I honestly think that Coalfield with its huge line and hard runners, Wartburg with practically its whole team returning, and Oneida with their running attack and stout defense all have a shot to make a big run for the playoffs. Who is the QB transfer that made his way to Oakdale? Is he any good, do they have any weapons at WR, and can they protect him?

How are things looking for each of the schools in Morgan County? Any spring practices or scrimmages scheduled yet?

Wartburg does have a few lengthy guys and I would definitely say that Fountain is the shorter of the 3. With that being said I really don't think that Dyer or Hamby is 6'9". Either way they all need to eat some meat and taters. Like others have said Fountain does impress with his all around offensive game. He can play inside or out but he is deadly from about the charity stripe. His defense is above average as well. It will be a good game and both teams better bring it.

I did think it was kind of strange that he (heckler) was allowed to return to the game. But since both the coach and the parent were to blame, would it have been fair to only remove one of them? Both were in the wrong, right? From rumors down this way, the principal from Oneida had some harsh words for Yaden. How is that relationship going now? Good luck to both Oneida and Wartburg as both schools are representing their communities well on the hardwood!

Yaden was really out of line with this one. As a coach you can and should expect to be yelled at, especially if you bring alot of it on yourself. His temper to opposing fans is the equivalent to blood in the water for sharks. If the fans know they can get to you, they sure will try. I am not saying that it is right but that is the nature of it all. I spoke with a few very trustworthy people sitting around the "heckler" and they were absolutely sure that Yaden was in the wrong on this one. I am sure it was not completely unprovoked though. He has to understand that there were kids sitting behind him that didn't need to hear his mouth and there is no excuse for that.

Coalfield wins by two scores 34-20.

What do you all think about this one? Is Wartburg back to full strength? If they are I will say Wartburg wins 20-14.

How are all the teams looking this year? Will Sunbright, Coalfield, and Wartburg make it to the playoffs again this year? Is Oakdale improving?

What coaches in the area are gone? I have heard about Midway. I have also heard rumors about Wartburg. What happened there?

Wartburg did not have their starters in the game when the fight broke out. #30 actully blindsighted #5 for Wartburg who is not a starter, although he does play quite a bit. With as many subs as Wartburg had in the game, if TSSAA actully did suspend anyone I really doubt it would be a starter anyway.

It was a very hard fought ballgame with both teams battling until the end. However you are wrong about the one thing you disagree with. It was 3rd and practically goal. If Wartburg would have taken a knee it would have brought up fourth down and Sunbright would have gotten the ball back. Now, Sunbright scored twice on O.S. very quickly. Do you think that might have had something to do with Wartburg trying to put another score in and not just hand the ball back over?

OT, you said you will be there about 7 and be standing beside the concession stand? I though coaches usually show up a little before that? With all the information you know, I would have to assume you are a coach.

OT, what is going to be your excuse if you lose? Go ahead and throw out your best ones! My prediction for this game is Wartburg 34 Sunbright 21.
