agreed sorry to say pickett looked really really really down in a four way scrimage they played at a couple of weeks ago i wish them the best of luck and hope they can make it the rest of the season with no injurys they were very short handed

yea still have a few big uns couple of tackles 275-300+ pounders one guard around 250 the other one is a little smaller around 200 center around 210-220 so size shouldn’t be a issue for them the whole team looks to be in better shape than I’ve seen in awhile hopefully they can have some success this year last year left a bad taste in alot of peoples mouth most of the team started last year are starters now new quarterback last years is now the backup and plays tight end they have a running back that was out last year due to a basketball injury suffered the summer before season he would have been the top running back last year and he and the other two backs looked good against taft and those tush hogs sunbright just kidding bout the tush hog think defense has really looked good at times again they slowed down the number one offence in the state sunbright (acording to oletiger )in a scrimmage and looked good at taft but monterey starts a big stretch of games for clay with friendship and tc to follow

glad to hear from you croz clay has looked good at times this year have lots more skill than last year but this is a big game for them hate to see your boys go down last week go get those high pollutant commanders we will all be cheering for you all carry the torch high and proud for us little people this week i know gordonsville has a heck of alot of talent not looking to forward to our match up later on but thats a different day best of luck

i see topic is slowly fading away everyone needs to e-mail and call tssaa monday and let them know that pepole care about these small schools im still ticked about clay county not getting in but there not the only team that got shafted let tssaa know how you feel just posting on here isnt going to do any good even if they looked on this site they wouldnt read the 1a and 2a threads just 4a 5a and 6a thats all they seem to care about

TSSAA said they like these new playoff rules because it would bring more talk about the playoffs well congrads it worked now fix it

Thank you for the support Croz. This old Clay Co. fan is flabergasted right now. Sure we're not great, and have been playing some sorry ball, but by rights our boys should be in the playoffs. If this isn't corrected it will be a crying shame. Maybe I'm misunderstanding the tie-breaker I don't know. If two teams finish with the same district/region record then the head to head winner advances, I thought. Out of the 1A teams in our region, clay only lost to Gordonsville, so they should be second and an automatic qualifier. im glad were not the only ones seeing red this morning this is the biggest load of crap ive ever seen anybody with common sence can see clay should be in to the fact tssaa will get this fixed you have way more faith than me finally got to talk to maxfield and as you would think he is shocked he said he is tring to get a hold of someone but the tssaa is closed and cant get a hold of them i just cant belive what there doing to clay like boarhead said maybe clay isnt the best 1a team in the state but fair is fair they earned the playoffs

just found out the game got moved gordonsville is pretty imprisive from what ive heard this year would like to think clay could play with them but after the jackson game i dont know whats up with them after reading the post on here everyone sees this as a blowout if clay could just get back too what they did at monterey and play team ball they might be ok i know some of you say monterey had injurys that night but everyone of there players played only one had something that had him at less than 100% clay just out played them they had a great schem and turned it on in the second half but for this week i say gordonsville will stay on there path to south pitt good luck to both teams

Jackson County wins this game i have been on vacation until this past monday and havnt got to tell jackson co fans how good you all played against clay i was surprized clay played so horrible midten ill have to give it to you u were spot on im proud for those boys i hate seeing clay lose like that but they are very young and i belive they will remember that game for awile again congrats sorry i couldnt tell you all that earlier good luck friday i missed the pickett vs clay game but heard #10 was a tush hog

they have been in more playoffs than you have wins over the last 30 years clay went to playoffs for 21 straight years thats in the past but before you start running your mouth maybe you should have a decent tradition of footballl jackson hasnt been in the playoffs since 1996

I couldn't agree more 03backer. Garrett is a great athlete. His speed matched up with anyone in the region, but he wasn't very agressive defensively. The coaching staff never could get him to run between the tackles either. However, JC will get plenty of him on the hardwood this winter so just be patient. Clay loses the big play on offense without him, but overall they may be a better team without him. He better develop a jump shot is all i can say otherwise he won't be doing much against JC on the hardwood bro. Now on the football field, we have NO ONE that could catch him in a foot race that much is for certain. JC also lost a huge asset in Jaret Goad at QB so the playing field is leveled. If Goad was at QB it would be JC in a landslide but now its anyones game. Depends on which team shows up for JC. The one that played at G'ville or the one that got beat down against Monterey? Who knows at this point. JC is going to win 4 games this year against teams that have a combined record of 3 wins and 21 losses. The only way they get to 5 wins is to beat Clay. No way they beat Watertown in the season finale so if they are going to have a 500 season they have to win friday night. i have no idea who the best d lineman is in this region but i do know that all the boys your talking about are tough i havnt seen the guy from watertown yet but i guess ill get to friday what number is he.the kid from friendship was a great player big fast and looked very athletic ford didnt play agaisnt clay so didnt see him this year but remember him from last year he was a beast and would be tough to beat.as for the watertown - clay game im interested in seeing how both teams look i know watertown has a very good qb from last year back and from what you all are saying a very good lineman but i think clay can give them a good game they finally have the two games agaisnt friendship and trousdale behind them know will see what they look like with someone thats a little better match up however watertown is 2a im sure they have more numbers than clay and may wear them down but i got faith in the dogs and pick clay- 20 watertown -19 either way i hope it is a great game

i cant belive you dont think your schedules are not similar jackson played houston co 0-5 scoring differental hc-16 opponents-175 then they played community 0-5 scoring differental community-14-opponents-223 gordonsville has to much talent and experience to lose this game jackson county won a few easy games and thoght they would roll but they are getting a taste of what clay and monterey have been dealing with for a while very tough games week in and week out maybe they wont play 0-10 teams next year to get ready for there region schedule and i love how jackson county is bringing up the HARDWOOD that is typical jc and they wonder why they dont get any respect for there football team

graduated from celina in mid 90's your right that statement might be a little extream but man friendship really really impressed me friday they have some great players they remind me of hartsville back in 98 and 99 solid players every where but dont get me wrong i hope hartsville beats them like a drum im not much on the private schools but i have to give them credit they are very sound

after the way clay played no im sorry didnt play against friendship im surprised by the predictions of a blow out. i think clay is better than red boiling but they have alot to prove after last friday night hopefully they come in to this game made as h--- and take care of business. friendship may be the best team that clay has played in several years im telling you they are a tough team i dont know when or where they play hartsville this year but ill be there it should be a great game as of now ill take friendship

i think we all know fcs has more talent than clay county and should win this game but i belive that clay can keep it close if they dont get wrapped up in the hype cchs is good team and has a chance to be a very good team they just need to keep there heads about them and play hard i hope they can come out of this game with a good felling that they can play with some really good competion and take care of what they have to the rest of the year to make it to the playoffs and maybe make some noise
