It's like I have always said about teams that are historically always bad. Football has to be important for the culture and attitude to change. Starting from the youth leagues on up. First of all, you have to hire a coach that knows how to win at a school with a minimum amount of athletes. You have to allow him to hire the assistants he wants to hire. You need to ensure that there is an athletic PE for the last class of the day for athletes. You need to get former players and the community involved in the program in some form or fashion. You need to have a very good "Athletic Club" with a strong president who can get fund raisers set up and make things happen and help improve the facilities, uniforms, etc. It takes a complete change in the culture of football to change a program. I personally don't think Cannon has any interest in making these things happen.

Warren County is not talented enough to compete in the region they are in. Plain and simple.

I don't care if Nick Saban was coaching Warren County, they don't have the players to win, especially in that Region. I don't know much at all about Coach Moore, but I do know they outcoached us in their only win. The problem with Warren is that football is obviously not very important there. They need to go out and find a coach that knows how to compete with the type players that Warren County has. If every team you play is more athletic than you, then you better find an offense and defense that fits those type kids.

I thought Warren did an excellent job. All the way from their entrance into the stadium to the homecoming floats. Sequatchie was outcoached from the kickoff. That's two weeks in a row this has happened. Something has to give. This is a very good group of players that should be 7-0.

Marion by a whole bunch. Bledsoe is worst I have seen them in several years.

Warren is a very bad 6A team.

I figured it would be closer than most expected because Dekalb is not very good against the run.

They are much improved. Good coaching staff. Run spread offense well. Not great defense. Similar to Dekalb. I think them and Dekalb would be a toss up.

I predict Upperman wins region and beats Red Bank in first round. Dekalb comes in second and beats CCS in first round. Sequatchie comes in third and loses to Notre Dame in first round. Smith comes in fourth and loses to East Ridge in first round.

I hope for a Sequatchie win but wont be surprised if this game is closer than most expect. Any team that Warren has played could play with Sequatchie and probably beat them. This is not a give me.
