Is it at Blackman or Gallatin?

Please when you get a time and location, post on here. I would like to try and make a scrimmage if its on the right day at the right time.

I gotta feeling Williams will end up the starter but maybe not the first game of the year. Is Smotherman a good enough athlete to play another position? If Williams does beat him out, Smotherman may be able to help on defense somewhere I'm thinking. It would be ashame for him to waste his senior season as a backup. He does need to be on the field somewhere.

I believe we will have a legit passing game this year, but will it be ready 1st game of the year against Indy? I don't know. Who will win the qb position, will it be Smotherman or the transfer Williams? It appears Williams may be the better passer but Smotherman the better athlete. I do believe Blackman has legit receivers, but they are unproven. Cousins I believe will be a stud. He is big, strong, and has major hops. I believe he would have had a breakout year last year had he not got hurt. FYI, I'm just a fan and don't know anything thats really goin on.

Any details on who the transfers are? I know about the qb Matt Williams. Who else?

Who has bigger recruiting budget, Lipscomb or Riverdale?

Watched Blackman beat Buckhorn 4 touchdowns to 2 tonight in a great night for football. My thoughts: I was impressed by both quarterbacks for Blackman #16 looked like a great leader and had a really good arm. #17 also looked like a good leader and was pretty athletic but did seem to hold onto the ball more and run more. #22 Cole Notgrass looked really good at tailback. Didn't see Dee run much but he also looked good. I really like the look of #9 at receiver and on defense and #23 on defense. Anybody know who #23 was. Also #13 has some jets. Buckhorn player broke a long run and it looked like he would go all the way and #13 ran him down with ease. Kid is fast. Anybody know who this kid is. Did see Davenport get hurt. I hope not bad. We really need him this year. Our line did not appear to be very big. We seemed kind of small but fast. Got a long way to go but their is some potential there. Go Blaze!!!

What do you expect 15, 16, and 17 year old kids from Blackman to do when they have just won a very hard fought game between 2 good teams and they know they are going to the state for the 1st time in school history. Most kids don't care how they win they just know that they won. There are some kids that act a fool at every school. Trust me, I feel your pain and I would probably feel just as bad as you do if I was on the other end. I hate that it ended the way that it did, but thats what happened. Good luck in the future. I'm thru posting until after I see the video.

Maybe Bradley students never storm the court but evidently Bradley parents do.

All of us truly know that if all this had happened in reverse, then all these posts would be the exact opposite. Bradley fans would be glad to have the win and Blackman fans would feel cheated. Bradley students would have been perceived to be taunting Blackman fans with their celebration because we would be upset about the loss and the way we lost. When Bradleys coach smiled because they had just pulled out the win, then us Blackman fans would think he was rubbing it in and laughing in our face. Lets face it, we're all the same. Your just on the wrong end of it this time. I've been on the wrong end of what I thought were bad calls before and its never fun. However, the truth of it is that Blackman students were being students just like Bradleys would have been had they won, Blackmans coach did not laugh in anybodys face, although I'm sure he was very happy to pull out the win just like Bradleys coach would have been had they pulled out the win. As far as coach Hibdons comments, I'm pretty sure all of us would have loved for the game to have been decided in a different manner. What he evidently said I don't think is any different than what almost all of us, Blackman and Bradley fans alike, would have said.

I agree 100% with what is said here. Even though I am a Blackman fan and I am happy to be going to state. This game did deserve a better ending. You would think that normally at this point in the game, that the whistle would be swallowed unless it was something really major. I do not know what was said but I certainly understand how Bradley Central fans must feel. Definitely a tough way to end the season. Bradley Central has a really good team. Game would have went into overtime and I must admit that I believe the edge would have went to Bradley. Blackman looked really tired at the end and had a lot of trouble with Bradley's quick guards and press. I also believe Blackman was outcoached as I don't know why Blackman slows the game down so much with all the talent and athletic ability they have. But it's hard to complain to much when you've only lost 3 games all year. Good luck to Bradley Central in the future.

Blackman and Lavergne play for the Region championship tonight in Shelbyville. These teams split during the season with Blackman winning in the district tournament in a very close game. Should be another great game tonight between these 2 good teams.

Would love to know this also. Last couple of years, I think we played Bob Jones out of Alabama. Are we not scrimmaging them this year?

Blackman and Lavergne play in district 7aaa championship game so winner of this game will play the 4 seed out of district 8. Loser will play the 3 seed from district 8. Siegel and Smyrna play in the consolation game. Winner of this plays district 7 #2 and loser plays district 7 #1. These games are tuesday night. Is it true, is it true? Is Shad really on his way out? if so, I will be blue. and I may even want to shout. But if it happens, thats ok. Because I know as a fan that deep down we will survive because we are Blackman

Tonight: Blackman over Oakland Siegel over Riverdale Lavergne over Smyrna Very tough game for Blackman tonight. Oakland is good and young just as I had heard. Oakland is set for the next 2-3 years with Emanuell Smith and Kyle Oliver. Smith is a great 1 on 1 player. Very quick and hard to guard. Oliver is very impressive for a freshman. They will both be scary good as seniors. For Blackman, Cousins is a stud and can jump out of the gym. McMiller played a great game. Thompson had a slow start but did his thing in the 2nd half. One complaint about coaching. What is Wortman trying to do with Thompson offensively? Thompson is running back and forth across the baseline. Its almost like Wortman is trying to tire his on player out. This offense never works. Thompson has had the ball in his hands as long as I can remember. Why they are trying to take the ball out of his hands, I don't know? Thompson is one of if not the best passer that has come thru Rutherford County in a while. He needs to have the ball quite a bit and use his great vision. They did this more in the 2nd half and they played much better.
