Friday Night Lights since you know everything is there a big difference in the 2002 team that went to state and the team that Portland has now. How much difference in the talent level.

So Friday Night lights what is the big difference in the 2001 and 2002 baseball team and now? what did they have that no other baseball has had in Portland in the past. Or can anybody answer that for me.

The same chad bruce from the 2000 state championship football team if it is he was a heck of a athlete football and baseball that guy could flat out play. Probably one the best free safteys and centerfielders that i ever played against. We were cross town rivals so we played against each other alot. A well respected guy

Somebod needs to bring intensity to the portlanf program they are usually just dull and blah maybe a coach can. Thats what i always see when Portland plays

Did portland get a whole new staff if so how well of coaches did the get. Just curious on how they are going to turn the program around

What about the 09 season? Their may be some sleepers that might creep in the mix of things this year that hasnt proved much in the past

who is all the assistants that are staying at portland. Or did anybody leave

Im not sure they all have been raised in portland im pretty sure. But who knows what will happen. I would like to see atleast one of them to stay.

Pee- Wee coaches wow. i heard it all now. Its not even close to being the same. Just keep winning you pee-wee football championships.

Coach curry was the oc. Brooks i think was the dc. Hicks coached the running backs and helped out with th OL. Bruce was the DB coach and helped with the LB they are all good coaches. They all have a bright future ahead of them they all played under Coach Perry and three of them was on the state championship team so they know what it takes. WHile Coach Curry was coaching at the time

THey would be their is alot of good assistances on that staff that would be good coaches even Hunter Hicks and Chad Bruce would be good hires over their even as assistances alot of energy and great with the kids

LOL first of all he was the O-LINE coach and portland had a great staff just not enough athletes to compete in 4a and i believe they knew what they were doing

Lol well put. It wouldnt matter if seve spurrier or Vince lombardi came back from the dead they couldnt turn the program around in two years. It just cant happen

All that happend when corey brewer quit football for basketball but he had a excuse obviously then everybody wanted to follow him now every little kid in portland thinks that they are the next corey brewer of course they are not going to be. Coach Perry coming back not a chance he is smarter than that.

You have got to be joking Portland does not have talent walking the halls sorry its a fact and coach bever had the discipline you have got to have players to even get close to compete in the new region watch the basketball team their is no athletes on their or baseball they got just as much athletes on their bowling team as they do in any other sport and its not the kids fault. Portland is just in a cyle where there is not much to work with right now. It may get better then again it might not who knows what will happen.

You honestly think that Portland can play 5a football with the kids tey got and the numbers they have as a school give me a break
