2A- Gavin Stanfield QB Waverly. Have led the Tigers to another Region title and a 7-1 record (undefeated in the Region), only loss came to 10-0 Huntingdon. Stats through week 10: 101 of 139 with 2366 yards passing, 38 touchdowns and 320 rushing yards. Might I add he is only a junior. Set a school record for touchdowns in a game, earlier in the season with 7.

The fish fry is at Waverly HS cafeteria from 4:30-7. Cost is $10

I think that it will be a very good and close game. I have seen both teams play this year as I am alumni of MJ but have a nephew that plays football for DC. Both teams have a good running back and definately both teams have good place kickers. I believe that the game could go either way. Although I will be sitting on the DC side I will secretly cheering for MJ at times.

Have the games times for the tournament been set? We are trying to figure out what time we need to leave in order to make it to our game on time. At least Fridays games.

CONGRATULATIONS to the LAKEVIEW JACKETS and COACH JOHN TIDWELL, who won the 1A BOYS TITLE!!! They were very well represented Saturday morning, with one player even having over 30+ relatives at the game.. 3 boys made the ALL-STATE team (Layne Spencer, Brenton Miller and Chace Allen) and 2 boys made the honorable mention team (Austin Mirabella and Dylon Breeden). WTG BOYS!!

Thanks for the scores.. I know of one of the scores they are missing from Saturday night.. Lakeview beat Swiss Memorial. I think it was like 35-14. Lakeview plays in the Championship game against TBA Saturday at 11:30 for the 1A Title.. GO JACKETS!!

I know that the Waverly and Lakeview both won this weekend.. Lakeview plays for the 1A championship on Saturday but not sure against who yet.. that will be determined Friday night.. I know that the Lakeview Yellow Jackets are set to play at 6pm on Saturday night but not sure who they are scheduled to play. They were the champions from the Tennessee River Valley Conference
