  1. Oh Butchie! You always hit full stride during playoff time. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  2. Butchie you aint right. haha Lord he apologizes! /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" />
  3. Im not trying to take cheep shots. I have noticed the turn around in Manassas record over the past three years, I have seen the players play. Heck, I even picked Manassas to win Friday night. Im simply stating what I have seen. However, I have also seen the decline in the opponents that Manassas has played. While the teams you play may be athletic, they still have terrible records. I guess I seem to give Manassas a much harder time than I should, mostly bucause of the size of the school and the talent on the team. I really dont think TCA would care one bit if they had to play Manassas again in the quarterfinals. I just hope TCA gets there! /blink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="blink.gif" />
  4. Its late in the year, and TCA has played a tough schedule. Gleason comes in with a potent offense and will challenge TCA's mediocre defense. However, TCA has played some good defense at times this year. TCA needs to come in to this game and every game from here on out with a more Killer mentality. TCA runs the wing t just like Gleason and should be well prepared for what they do. Ill take TCA 28-20. If TCA plays better defense this game and plays physical they could roll over Gleason. If the d shows up ill take TCA 35 Gleason 13.
  5. I only recall 2 TD's called back in that game. The point is, Manassas is notorious for commiting penalties! In the TCA game, every penalty called on Manassas was deserving on Manassas's part. They are by far the most penalized team in 8 1A for sure.
  6. Im sorry for the Rebel fans that have to go to Memphis this week. However, yall have some of the best fans in West Tennessee, hope yall got your voices ready and throats cleared, cause this mite be the best game of the night! Mannassas has 3A depth, but only about 9 of them know what they are doing. TCA out hustled and out coached them earler this year. Mckenzie's coaching staff is top notch and they should put togeather a winning game plan. Mckenzie also plays hard, but if you dont come out and put Manassas on their heels, Manassas will run right by you. Manassas loves to run the ball out of the I formation. They also love to toss the ball to king to the weak side and pull big number 77 (about 6-5 330) out infront. He can fly too. Manassas uses the run to set up a little flood route with the tightend and fullback going 5 and 10 yds. If they get loose, they will make people miss down field. My prediction is Manassas by 9, but if Mckenzie comes to Memphis to win and not to lose, they could easily reverse my prediction. Its going to be a battle... Im praying for an injury free, hard fought football game. May the best team win!
  7. Thanks for the help, TCA played Tipton-Rosemark in 2003 and the same thing happened as you had said. They soaked the field and TCA lost 18-13. TCA also lost a player to an ACL injury if I do recall correctly.
  8. What i was saying about the field is that it is in terrible shape. Pot holes, dirt, sand and 5 in. grass. The Memphis officiating plays favorites when an out of town team rolls in. Special Teams will be pivotal. I said Manassas would score 30, because the go for two every time. This could be the best game of the four. I dont really know who I want to win, I just want an injury free, good football game. P&GS: I know Gleason has put up some points, what makes them so prolific, and what makes their defense sub par?
  9. Union City 42 Halls 12... Halls played good last week, but UC played better. Halls will be playing a team this week that is just as fast as Manassas. Manassas dominated them earlier this year. Union City is the playoff frontrunner to this point, and I dont see Halls even giving them a fight after halftime. TCA 28 Gleason 20... TCA has played every game close this year, and i dont see anything that makes me think otherwise. Gleason should move the ball early, but I think TCA should outscore them, I look for TCA to use a balenced attack to get a W by 8. TCA's coaches should have the Lions focused after last week. Lake County 35 Fayette Academy 27... I think this could go either way, but im saying Lake by 8 because they will be much faster than Fayette. I am also looking forward to a Lake Co. TCA second round matchup like two years ago. That was one of the best games ever seen at Windy City Stadium. Manassas 30 McKenzie 21... At manassas is a terrible draw for anyone. You have to go to Memphis and play infront of a terrible crowd and on a terrible field, with terrible Memphis refs. If Mckenzie can slow manassas down and play their style of football they could pull away a W. This should be a good game.
  10. That was a sloppy game TCA. If you want to make a run in the playoffs, you better focus in and go hard this week in practice. I can promise you whoever comes to Lions Field next week, will be licking their chops and fired up. Good Job Halls. I guess the call to move the game up was a good move. Hats off on the win.
  11. Halls has always had a problem keeping motivation throughout a game and season. Last year, TCA led halls 15-13 in the first quarter before winning 52-15. The year before, TCA trailed Halls 7-6 at HALFTIME! before blowing them out 42-7.
  12. Diving at legs is seen in every devision of football. Washington is around 160? The players from Lexington were around 210? It makes sence to go lower. He did however, stuff Lexingtons big back on the goal line, head up pad levels equal on the last play. TCA will have the opportunity in the coming years to play bigger schools. Moving to 2A.
  13. TCA's secondary is their strong point. Halls offensive game plan plays right into TCA's hands. Should be an interesting game. I predict two picks for Washington.
  14. I see no one regarded my previous post about dropping the smack talk. If you want to talk about 3A vs. 1A or how South Pitt will roll over everyone this year(which they will) than start another topic. These post are starting to take away from a great football game last friday night.
  15. Please Lions. Put the game away early, these one point wins are getting too familiar. I think TCA will ride the big win last week to another one this week. Halls comes off of a blow out loss to Adamsville and i just dont see halls having the firepower to run and hang with TCA. TCA 35 Halls 20
  16. Enough of the, "if this than that". The fact is, Lexington talked smack all week about how they were coming to Jackson to bully a 1A team. And that wasnt the case. End of story! Lexington and TCA both have great fans, coaches and players. The game was played hard by both teams, and good sportsmanship was showed as well. The same should be showed here as well. gohawks- TCA is just trying to earn some respect around the area. We are not trying to say we are number one. We have a tough schedule. We play bigger teams for one reason. Preparation for the playoffs. I think a TCA vs. Southside game would be very benificial to TCA next year. Maybe SS and TCA can work it out and meet on the field in years to come. Good luck to Southside this week.
  17. Whos is going to make the playoffs and who will represent these two regions the best in the post season. My Picks: Region 8 Region 7 1.TCA vs. 4.Gleason 2.Manassas vs. 3.McKenzie 3.Fayette vs. 2.Lake County 4.Halls vs. 1.Union City TCA and Manassas will win and move on to play Lake County and Union City. McKenzie could beat Manassas, depends on which Tiger team shows up. Going to Memphis for McKenzie will be rough. TCA vs. Lake County in the 2nd round at TCA. Union City vs. Manassas at Union City
  18. ALERT ALERT!!! UPSET SPECIAL TCA 28 LEXINGTON 27. What is the world coming to. A 1a team beating a 3a team! This was a great game. Both teams roared out of the gates to a 21-14 Lexington halftime lead. TCA's defense really stepped up in the second half and shut down Lexingtons ground game. In the first overtime, TCA took the lead, 28-21. Lexington answered and went for two. On a sweep play, Lexington's 5-10 200lb tailback was stuffed by TCA's Jabriel Washington on the one foot line. Sealing the win for the Lions!!!
  19. BIGRED has a point, no matter what 1A team plays a higher classification, they will be undersized and outnumbered. However, last year this same argument arose before this game, and TCA went to Lexington and fought for a big 39-14 victory. Someone stated that Mannassas had one of the best backs in west tenn. You better believe it. He may not be 6-3 240. But he is about 6-0 190 and can FLY!!! TCA has played a rough schedule this year, and they are battle tested. They are better than their record or scores indicate. They will battle Lexington, and i know i said they would win, but they will have to play a near perfect game on defense. I have had the opportunity to talk to many of the players throughout this year, and while they are young, the fire in their eyes is burning bright. I have 100% confidence that they will play hard every play. I am so proud to be a fan and graduate of TCA and an ex 1A ball player. I hope Lexington brings a big crowd tomorrow night. It is hard to beat a packed Windy City road stadium on Friday nights! Good Luck to both teams and schools!!! /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  20. Thats a good prediction, if TCA matches Lexingtons running game with an aggressive defensive attack, they could pull the upset. Ill take TCA 35 Lexington 34. Its always a barnburner!
  21. I know this is not a region game, but this game could really help TCA as far as the playoffs go. TCA has played a very hard non region schedule, and this is just another game that will test them and prepare them for the playoffs. what do you think? Throw some scores at me!
  22. How bout them Lions!... and Vikings. What a football game! Hats off to everyone at both schools. That was fun!
  23. Not a chance, Union City will beat Halls! No problems there. If TCA wins the region, they will get a South Fulton or Lake Co. draw, not good for them, both teams are athletic and run it right down the throat. If Fayette gets 2nd, they will have trouble with either Lake or South Fulton. Mannassas and McKenzie will be a barnburner, but my pick goes to McKenzie because they will out coach Mannassas much like TCA did. My pick for the most legit shot at making a run is Union City or TCA(but they will have to play with as much intensity and heart as they did vs. JCS to do that). Possibly a Lake Co. They are very athletic this year. Throw Manassas out, they wont have what it takes to get past the second round.
  24. TCA must sure up the interior of the D line if they want to win this one. If they do, they will win. TCA 27 Fayette 20
