Chester County 27 Adamsville 21. GOTW in west tennessee IMO.

Chester county returns some key skill position guys and a fairly decent line. They will have a new look on Offense because of the new coaching staff. The key for Chester will be keeping the kids motivated. Seems like each year they are happy with just making the playoffs. But, they got the coach to change the mindset in Henderson. I'm predicting 8 wins for the Eagles in the fall. Plus, they have a favorable schedule too.

I currently am coaching for a guy that coached for 25 years in alabama and 12 of those years at Russelville HS. he personally studied under Mike Leach and Hal Mumme and in 2002 installed the spread at Russelville. False: Ive seen several schools (In MS and AL) that have become very efficient at controlling the clock while still spreading it out. The key is the no-huddle. If you can teach your boys to get lined up right, you can kill the clock by taking time to exploit the alignment of the defense. The Quick or short passing game out of the spread is a great way to dink your way down the field while chewing up clock. As far as the power running game goes: Simply take a look at Auburn last year. Sure they had cam newton, but a lot of their run plays like Rhino, (or Power for you old schooler's), Bucksweep, Smash, and Trap were all run from the gun with the same blocking schemes. The difference now is, that defenses have the honor the fact that you have three, four, or five receivers out wide. This causes fewer people to be stacked in the box which also means fewer people to block. The spreads great, but only if the coaches installing it know how to teach it.

I think Hodum walks into a great situation at Chester County. Team has been mediocre over the last few years, however, they do have talent. Hodum will be a winner there. I look forward to seeing him on the eagle sidelines next year! Great hire!!

Best team in 2A for sure. But to say we have given you no respect is wrong. There have been only two TCA posters on coacht since the game. TCAEE and me. We have had to play bigger, faster, stronger teams all year long and the kids were just plain exausted by the second quarter today. Its a long season and the boys have fought through alot, they just fell a little short today. I think that most TCA fans are just discouraged because they have seen the fight in these kids week in and week out, and no one wanted to see it end this way today. The difference in the game was depth. Plain and simple... TCA played all out the first two quarters and then ran out of gas. Signal had the luxery of going to the bench and pulling fresh bodies out to play. Now for all you Jabriel Haters out there, give the kid a break for once. ONE time. Obviously Nick Saben knows what he is doing, or else he wouldnt be at Alabama. The kid does it all for TCA. It begins and ends with him! Imagine if his talent could be surrounded by more of the same where teams couldnt simply key on him all game long. The fact that he did what he did all season long and had the numbers and success he had speaks volumes for him. Also makes the ones he does it to look worse when they hate on him. Just sayin.... Glad to see a good game today. Congrats to TCA and Signal on their seasons. Best wishes in the future Eagles.

I think more kids read these threads than people think. With these kids being in highschool, they get are sensitive to anything people say about them or their school. They all want to know what everyone thinks about them... wouldnt you? Every kid on football fields across america is playing for someone. Some play for themselves, others for the guys next to them, many for their parents, or a coach, or God. But they all play for someone, so naturally they are going to want to know what someone is saying about them. I hate nothing more than getting on here and seeing people put down other teams and schools without valid assessment of the situation in question. I know what it feels like to be on here having the team I root for bashed in losses and in wins. There is nothing wrong with saying your team is better than some other team, just try to have valid arguments that dont specifically point out kids that bust their butts for something or someone. Not criticizing everyone on here, just a few. I myself have been guilty of it before. But I think it is something to remember for every coacht user. Be mindful of the eyes that read this stuff. It sucks to lose, but it sucks worse to have people tell you how bad you suck for losing. But I wish both teams the best of luck saturday. Its special to get this far, I hope that all the players, coaches, and fans cherish these moments. They dont happen every day!

No one has answered my question. TCA has 252 in high school, 759 in the entire school.

You couldnt have asked for a better semifinal game! One of the best HS football games i have ever witnessed! Congrats to the Rebels on a great season and great game tonight. The teams that have beat TCA this year have coaching staffs that have played Jabriel Washington before and know how to stop him. Comer at McKenzie is one of them. I dont see anyone who has one week and one game film can stop TCA from scoring. Plus they run a check with me no huddle offense. So they can change the play based on what the defense shows. Defensively, TCA has played all varieties of offense including two of the fastest most athletic teams in the state (Trenton,Humboldt) the last two weeks. They are pretty good brother Same goes for McKenzie. They have one of the best coaching staffs in the state IMO. They have been winning football games for years! They will absolutly bloody your mouth in 48 min! The east better get ready, because the west is strong this year. Not knocking Signal or Boyd. Im sure they are fine teams with excellent coaching staffs. They wouldnt be this far in the playoffs if they werent. Good Luck to both those teams tonight and I hope to be on here tomorrow talking TCA vs. Signal/Boyd. Gotta get past these Rebels first!

TCA as well has a great shot at beating signal or boyd. The west is strong this year! TCA has one of the nations top corner prospects who is signed with alabama. He plays QB and DB and TCA goes as he goes. Hard to stop tho. McKenzie is strong and physical. They will gash you with the run and then throw it over the top. Defense for both teams are really tough. Signal or Boyd will be very surprised by either of these teams!

Dont you love how the paper doesn't put a single article, let alone a comment about the game tom in todays edition! Hometown TCA team that is in the semi's for the first time ever and a McKenzie team that has dominated west tennessee all season! The winner of this game has the best shot at a Gold Ball in west tennessee IMO! After all we know Milan will most likely lose to Alcoa, and Lexington probably will lose tonight to Trezevant. I know you McKenzie folks think highly of the paper and all, but we TCA fans have been the "middle child" in Jackson for as long as I can remember! I mean they said "TCA survives against Trenton" when in reality we stomped their tail! Doesn't make sense to me!
