  1. Really! Maybe you should look at RebelRons post for more clarification since you didn't see the game earlier this year.
  2. Hey KnoxRebel, Where is everybody? I know the game means nothing regarding the final standing, but geez, you would think a program as proud as Central would at least have something to say. Not that I mind the playoffs already being set but Central did play a good game against Clinton last week. Even though the outcome doesnt effect playoffs I hope the Rebels don't come out flat and look for this to be a pushover. I think for a team this young it means a lot to have momentum heading to Cleveland, Rhea Co, Red Bank or wherever we end up going next week. I agree, its also important to watch out for injuries as well. One thing I would really like to see is some offensive production in the 2nd half! This team has the potential to go deep in the playoffs if everybody gets their head on straight. What have you heard regarding injuries? I didnt know we had anybody gimpy right now? Bobcats are a nuisence and should delt with accordingly!!!!!!!! Go Rebels
  3. From your comment I assume you transferred from reading to Braille! A tipped ball nullifies pass interference. I would really like for someone to explain the ruling on the missed field goal attempt. Mville missed from around the 35 and West got the ball on the 20? I heard one explanation that went like this: a missed field goal attempt gives the opposing team the ball at their own 20? If this is true it explains the officials call. Also if this is true why does anyone punt? Simply attempt a field goal from you own end zone and you effectively get an 80 yard punt. Mville played a great game and while I think the officiating was horrible it did not effect the outcome of the game. When West offense could only keep the ball 3 minutes in the whole 2nd half the calls really didn??™t matter. I hope West gets another shot at the M rebels in the playoffs. Good luck to both teams
  4. This is a BIG one!!!! Halls knows it, West knows it. Now, who can handle it? From what I've seen and heard both teams appear to be making improvements each week. Who will improve the most is the question. SC had the better score last week vs West but watching the game I would say that West beat themselves much more than SC beat them. The West D pretty much shut down the run but there were way too many "ooops" in the receiving corp and defensive backs. Those mistakes have to be gone to beat a hardnosed, talented Halls team. I'm picking West in this one only because Halls had a creampuff last Friday or maybe that should give Halls the advantage since they had more rest. Either way this one will be good and everyone knows the winner is for sure headed to the playoffs if history holds true.
  5. First I'll beat on the Bears, they beat a very down W-B and lets face it, Karns is no test. Halls on the other hand got beat by 4 but they haven't really lived up to their hype either. All that said I'm not sure how good the Bears really are. I do know the rebs have gotten better each week and it must continue if they have a shot this Friday. I would also like to know what Sevier County is bringing to the party. Don't really know any details on them. Speed? Size? Players to watch? Anybody got input?
  6. Hey Knoxvegas, Glad to see someone standing up for the W. Like you I certainly can't predict a win over a talented Bearden team but I think the game will be closer than most expect. Your comment on the running back? Not sure but I hear the Young kid from Bearden is quick as a hiccup. That being said if the D gets a hand on him I hear he'll give up the ball faster than he can run. I also expect to see some new faces in some new places for the W tonight. Hopefully the injury situation is clearing up some and that will help alot. In 12 hours we'll have a much better idea of how things will go. GO W. REBS
  7. OK Boot, we'll agree to disagree on running backs but I think the question will be answered tonight! I think we'll see them both on the field. Seems the media is showing no love (as usual) for the W. Rebels. I think West has the chance to earn a lot of respect with a good showing tonight as it seems Feargut has a stable of good players. I won't committ to picking a winner as there are way to many unanswered questions on the Rebels side of the field.
  8. Are you talking about the McMinn Co. scrimmage West survived or the beating they took from Catholic? I'm not sure what you mean by "someone West will go to for a play" because that would seem to be exactly what they did against A-E. Ball isn't moving-insert Williams- Ball moves. I agree that Baylosis has speed, there just isn't anything to go with it.
  9. I agree with Cook. If Francis can get him the ball he can make big things happen. After seeing the jamboree game it's obvious Williams needs to be in the backfield: Not Baylosis Cook will also be a factor on the defensive side but a key component will be KJ Bean at linebacker.
