  1. well most of INDY backers on this board moved onto a new post about INDY future, and I sispect after a 42-14 whopping you would be quiet as well , as stated hardley anyone form indy on this board talked of an INDY win, more were saying it could be tight game... I would like to tell you that its refreshing to read your outake on INDY as I have been stating what you summarized and you are dead on - First thing QB issue never up for debate, Heckman is the real deal at QB and as stated he stands no chance back there- spoke with RHS coach and he said INDY way to easy to prepare on offense- coaches like Rector, crawford, and others are way to good , knowing INDY does not have a running back at all-think about how easy it is to defend if you are a LB knowing full well you ont have to worry about a run...what made indy effective last year and the quick no huddle play called on the line was a running game- it keeps defense on heals and prevents teams from getting in a nickel package etc, plus if coaches see mismatch or a defensive formation they like for example they call a run play hence cant do it this year...there o line is very poor, and you re right , i am amazed hecman hasnt been carried off on a stretcher as of yet --- thier defense is giving up alone on ground about 240 yds a game, and cant tell you how many runs they surrendered of 40 plus yds this season.....
  2. i could not agree with you more on your statement """""But I must say that I was still shocked beyond imagination over what Independence did on-the-field (or did not accomplish). But it was Independence's offensive theory this year that astounded me. Everyone has accused Independence of being "one-sided", and those have been accurate accusations. But the lack of a running game is the result of two things (1) no manageable running-back (2) no Offensive lineman. If you are going to play football against Coach Webb, Crawford, and Rector's defenses, and you can only hope to throw the ball around (without a Offensice line proficient in blocking) then those defenses will drop 7 into coverage, and apply intense pressure with the front 4. In this region if you allow that to happen, those teams will chew you up and spit you out. This is an all too familiar image for Independence this year.''''''''''''''''''''''''''''' few things for you supporters of another QB , please note the above, i dont care if COlt McCoy was in there - I personally figured before season started 5-6 wins - it was a rebulding year as stated teams do go thru these in high schools-
  3. correct, RHS on any given night is dangerous and they do have one of the best coaches in middle tn- giving the choice of whom i would want to play Centinal or RHS i would say i would take my chances on...... well i will leave that up to you- CHS could score on you all night, they are loaded with all sorts of talent and speed on offense, plus throw in 6 -7 tight end Defense if you can control the clock you can score on them as they are prone to giving up alot of pts- RHS as stated very tough team to face, on offense they kill you with that spread offense and their runnin game is getting into high gear, defense well you need to strap it up as you will get blitzed all night- I think region 6 will go 3-1 opening round
  4. you said last november the following It is very simple. Indy is not a "lil ole me" team. If you would have asked anyone at the school including every single coach before the season started and they would have said they should win state. These guys have played together since Freshman and a varity schedule since 10th grade. They have 20-25 seniors. The coaches have stated and know that this is their one shot to win a state championship game. Next year will be a down year so when you hav eall this and graduate 18 of 22 starters tell me a program that will be good----------he eubank snew the runni game very well last year if u recall when they only put 5-6 in thre box pedigrew called on,when none in box heckman pass-remember tehy went to power i formations lots last year as well
  5. you are very disgruntled sorry your son didnt get playing time, indy in no way shape or form has nearlly the talent size nor speed as last year-your crazy about more speed ithen any tram in region franklin,RHS AND CHS WAY MORE SPEED you are really sad you know that ..u dont know anything about football, saying that millington is junk as they surrendered a 21 pt lead- maybe it was indys talent that made the comeback, gosh you are not a supporter at all please tell us whom you really are and stop changing screen names
  6. Re read my post about heckman as stated if you don't have a runnin back( trust me rhs and franklin coach) told me that without runnin game indy is too easy to prepare for hence yoy see subpar stats for heckman, don't care if payyon manning or sony gray back there without a running game your dead meat stat wise these coaches are too good in region to know how to stop a one dimmensional team. Now as for you saying state runner up to doormat coach eubanks fault but om other poists you praise rhs rector as the best seems like his state runner up team last year didn't make playoffs.smyrna this year only thing savin them is a very poor region with exception of oakland and I'm not sold on them. Thus is high school ball all teams have up and down cycles, unless you recruiut ie ensworth BA or open zomes like maryville, alcoa. Franlin 4 years ago was a doormat before that brentwood. Indy is not even in its 8th year of foot ball. Fact you are hiding the truth u r disgruntled dad with few screenmaes here think we all know whom
  7. Ok just looked at game -heckman does have to do it all.the o line is very poor, recievers decent but grade poor due to lack of run game hence no play action. Heckman has no running game so yeah safe to say he does have to do it all spoke to rhs coach few days back he said indy easier team to prepare for as one dimmensionaln.take last year had decent line recievers and moe importantly runnin game. Sorry you pick for qb didn't face the blitz packages ,schemes many 2nd team players in and again brentwood way ahead giving up shortpass to keep play in front
  8. Seen thompson play, kid does have talent.one thing the d needs some help, look at yds per game they gave up on the ground, and the plus 40 yd runs they surrenderd.very shocked @ score last nite-did they lay down or just overmatced.I tell you coach crawford had 2 weeks to prepare for the game, plenty of times to see the sets iformations and that indy can't run and or has no runningback.one dimmensional, its amazing hecman hasn't been knocked out silly.I believe indy will be back but remember new region next year
  9. Want chs to win but franklin by 20 as chs defense has been spotty and again they still need a signature win
  10. okay swith sleepers favorite backup qb graduating this year , we wont have the heckman at qb debate so i ask how will they look next year overall- do they have anyone at frosh level = i think on offense they were fine considering a new line,no running back and darn good coaches nowing the fact that indy was one dimensional-and lets face all coaches in the region could scheme very well knowing this.....my question is will defense improve look at time of possesion, and rush total yds game they gave up
  11. sorry to hear that for the kid and for the football program to lose such a leader like that - this will really put bruins to the test tonight think Krow put ball up only 45 times this year, but ran offense and kep error free ball- i guess only thing good out of this will be for BHS to take these 2 games to get replacement up to speed before playoffs
  12. well what bout your kid playing ball against Brentwood team in spring (baseball) and fact you had family that lives here in west meade- look not getting on you but trying to tell you that worry bout school then football
  13. okay as mentioned most of us with kids that played sports have always had to listen to one dad that always said wow did you see my son johnny he does this he does that, he is the czar of little league or pee wee football- cmom think bout it i am sure we all have been thru this ( some chuckling as some may have been guilty) help me here bigguy300 - here are some of your comments/posts "I just moved to Nashville from Atlanta, and need some advice as it pertains to my 13yo/8th grade son and which school to send him to next year. Not knowing anything about Nashville or its school systems I took a job up here and found a nice house on the west side of town" BUT then you said" took a job this past summer, had 3 weeks to move my family. Have a Family member, without children, that lives in West Meade, so I decided to move near them." "Starting weighing choices for High School. Checked out the Academics of all the local Private and Public Schools. Had I known then what I know now I wouldn't have moved to Davidson County, but I did, and so here we are." HOWEVER IN ANOTHER COMMENT YOU SAID "Yes he does play Baseball. Once again, he plays just about every position, but exceeds at Pitching. Not alot of movement on his fastball but it hits about 75mph on a reg basis. Struck out 9 in 5 innings in his last appearance this past spring. This in a 15u league, against a Brentwood team where half their boys drove themselves to the game. Here is my son, 13, pitching against "15" year olds (who are driving)." above you said you you just moved here, then you said took a job here just last summer, BUT more so YOU said this spring he played agaisnt a brentwood team--- maybe he was just visiting or maybe he was on travel team from Atlanta BUT the biggest question is that you said you have family here moved close to them you doidnt ask them about the school system >
  14. tradition what winning 3 state titles in how many years the last one when you were in diapers - Worship Heckman , no sorry lived near the school, met some of the players that lived on my street - you are right since you bring up my creds, Notre Dame (12 starts) 15 years o cord in top catholic powerhouse school , coached GB Lions in England 2 years- working for midwestern college looking at local players hence, rerooted now living in sunny well rainy Florida today heading to Niceville Fl to watch a game---- what about you, maybe handed out jock straps back in the day, big beer belly now thinkin you are someone since ya coach peewee ball,Summner county yeah alot of tradition when was last time ya made it to a state champ game.. by bye lil girl, see ya when the rich kids from wil co beat you down again.... hmmm indy 42- green girls 7
  15. Agreed reread his posts he stated he done his homework on the local schools and researched them etc the says he assumed they were like atlanta schools where does that make sense please tell me .sorry brother but seems like u didn't do ur homework and yeah I can understand fast move and all but in another post ya said if ya knew what hillwood was you'd move somewhere else sorry noexcuse first foremost is ya shouldve done better homework, plus u talk bout teams that need to fit your te wr son, if school he went to didn't pass ball you would put 60 lbs on him. Look let him enjoy football as someone that does recruit if he is good we will find him remember for your sons abilities there are many more with his and 100 more better. Stop worrying bout football find a school where its safe offers his sort of classes and then football.
  16. Look as someone else said this is bunch of crap and boro ball you nailed it when said basically can't blame a parent for wanting the best for his kid. earlier stated he could haved moved anywhere in midd tn area and his so is some superstud so I ask all u dads with student athletes wouldn't first thing u do before moving is look at school district, poster says he here already is kid not in school
  17. In 06 our division went 1-3 in opening roind of playoffs so how could u say the best. Bwood and franklin has what it takes chs has some worries on defense. You said indy needs offense on track, well its there defense that fives up close to 400 yds a game
  18. Well known that 65A is the stronger region and has been for the last 5 years or so,with that as our regions pair up playoff time look at the last few years and in fact last year your teams were blown out in playoffs i.e.indy beat gallatin and antioch by 35 and 40 pts respectfully but that was last year. Franklin and brentwood wouldn't have problem with either wave or commandos , the teams it looks like u face is centenial or ravenwood. its big game for the seedings as u won't see either franklin or brentwood till later I'm playoffs whoever gets centenial ( they most likely get #3 seed and ravenwood #4) better look out. Cent is dangerous team loaded on offense but they can be scored upon RHS with rector alaways tough this year they up and down but beat BA.however sure ur game wave vs. Commandos will be a great one good luck to both stay healthy
  19. With respect it will not matter come playoff time the 65A region will dominate
  20. I may be wrong but when has .MJ made the football playoffs and yet if they have when have they one a playoff game, same said for baseball. Call me jaded but I'd send my kid to either brentwood franklin ravenwood orindy before oakland or riverdale
