Patiently Waiting!!!! But still hungry!!!!!

Well just like going from VHS to DVD it will take time but it would help everyone

I have looked at the huddle system and as of right now i am going in metro and I dont think a metro football team can spend $800 a year just on trading film.

We have a website for our school that we send college coaches to for game film but there has to be one that could work for all of us. I would think all coaches would be able to upload to a computer by now especially since we all have moved to DVDs. If we could come up with a site I am sure I can make some calls and reserve a huge ballroom and have someone come in and give a detailed review on how to use the system.

What are yalls thoughts on all of us coaches in the state of Tennessee going to a site to trade film instead of doing the old meet and swap routine? We did it in college so I dont see why we cant do it here. What would be the pros and cons? Has anyone in the other classes gone to this type of film trade system? Or use a school with a huge auditorium

I agree Woodward is a great coach. But he is getting moved to 5A so he might wanna stay and see what happens. Any other Metro coach that might have applied? How long do they wait to name head coaches? I figured it would be after the Championship games.

They are. Metro pays more so those close to retirement would take a pay cut moving then their retirement total income would be lower. I think they use the 5 highest consecutive years of your salary.

Who from Metro has applied? Would have to be someone who has put their time in because leaving after puting too many years in would mess up their retirement or would have to be someone that could draw both. Younger might be the better choice but who knows.

1. Age= 26 not married and can devote all his time to teaching, football, and the kids 2. Discipline= Demands it from Players and coaching staff both on and off the field 3. Experience as a head coach-Spent 2 years building a program with a great head coach and was taught to do things the right way.( Paper Work, field maintenance, care of equipment, PARENTS,all the way to scheduling and contracts. I guess some just do not trust young blood but all the young bloods I know are assistant coaches in college or GA's at a college. I chose the High School route. 4. College playing experience 5. Knowledge of new technology to help game planning on and off the game field. 6. A certified teacher!!!!!!!!!! I guess all of us young coaches will just have to be patient and pay our time or go GA somewhere. Either way I am staying in high school. There is nothing like FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS!

Dont need to say much. The only team that can be us right now is ourselves. we keep our composure and we will be fine the rest of the year. Got a great chance to go 6-4 and into the playoffs. By the way I made a stament a few weeks ago about a fire. Well no one has but it out yet and dont plan on it being put out this year or the next years to come. Go Ravens!

As a Alumni of Hunters Lane and now a coach in the system this is an embarrassment to not only me as an Alumni but also, to the Metro Sytem coaches. I know times have been tough this year for the warriors and I know that they have a quality head coach. It hurts me as a former player to such a great program to see it get disrupted by such ignorance of the current players that were involved. Hang in there Warriors see yall on Friday.

EERS dont waste your breath on asiatic. Your gonna want that breath back one day. its good to get a win at The Ridge lets keep it going. The atmosphere a school this morning is very positive from adminstrators all the way down to the students. Go Ravens beat the Warriors

Like I said we coughed the ball up it wasnt that we didnt move the ball when we averaged 4.5 yards a carry on the ground. But your opinion is noted thanks for wasting your breath you might want it back one day.

Davidson, Hunters Lane, Hillwood, Hillsboro, Overton Preaching is teaching. Its repetative and sticks in most of our kid's heads but some still have their moments.

Momma taught me that sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Negative comments mean nothing to me. This is a message board and nothing more. We dont know what goes on behind the scences at other schools and therfore do not pass judgement against them but I also believe that you dont get anymore negative than telling assistant coaches that they are running a program into the ground when they go out and bust their butts week in and week out trying to make their kids better. Ravens get on a roll this week enough said.

Before you go bashing assistant coaches and saying they are running the team into the ground maybe you should come out to a practice. We dont even have the proper practice grounds to run anyone into it. Practice field is still almost unusable and with alpha league and soccer going on, our time and practice areas are limited. Besides that, the kids also do not understand the commintment and urgencey a good football team should have. I myself preach it everyday! Its not that there is a a lack of quality coaches on the field. Its the lack of TEAM togetherness because a lot of our kids think about ME ME ME. We also dont handle adversity very well which is a huge deal in the game. As for the Head coach being the OC all offensive plays are designed to get yardage and score. Our offense is so simple it doesnt matter what he calls, we should be successful. But as of right now we need to worry about coughing up the football not what play is called. I had a great since of togetherness yesterday at practice and I agree with EERS I predict a win this week and a spark that will unleash a fire that wont be put out by the Ravens the rest of the season. Go Ravens and stay together. There are good things to come.
