ok well that game last night did tell me a lot....how the heck did bearden only win by THREE. I am pretty sure farragut won by atleast 25 and there jv team played the 4th. And let me add that they did not even score a single point the second half!

I mean if you want to call those three guards you can but word around the street says that they can not handle the pressure. I think that its going to be a good game and bearden should win. But it all depends on how they handle the pressure and outstanding hustle of farragut. If watson stays out of foul trouble this could be a very interesting game to watch. I'm going to make a bold prediction Farragut by 4!

I tend to agree with the majority of these (the ones i've heard of anyway) but Ben Mixer belongs in another thread on this forum. It would be titled "Overrated." If you've seen this behemoth play you'll wonder why he's not better. All the kid has to do is raise his arms and he can touch rim, yet he deems it necessary to put the ball on the floor every time (when he catches it, that is). He is in serious need of some coaching and some coordination because at his size there's no excuse for his sloppy play. Size does matter, but a shred of talent must accompany it.

While Hunley may make an impact, to say that he is in the top 30 in the Knoxville area is a bit much I think. Maybe in his senior year, but right now he's just okay.

To say the defense is a ? is the understatement of the century. Farragut has a tough schedule for next year and may not make the playoffs. However, they have a potent offense with most of the starters returning. If they can patch together an offensive line that is decent (as in better than this year's) then they stand to at least put themselves in a position to win. And the fact that Van Dyne is returning is no great prize. #9 David Allen is your all-star receiver next year. For proof, watch that last Ooltewah game. Just some thoughts

why bother even evaluating this game. if you saw the farragut game, you know west is likely to be beaten by the CBFO super midgets. young team with very few hopes for a decent season. its hard to get up for a blowout, even in a rivalry (former or not) sort of game. bearden is already looking two weeks ahead to the farragut game. that's intensity for you

maryville is weak and plays with no heart any more. i dont see the streak lasting much longer on the backs of this careless team

In my 18 years of playing/coaching/watching high school football i have never seen a more lacksadaisical or careless bunch than last years ootlewah owls. they were weak, played with no heart, and just generally cruised through one of the easiest schedules i've seen in a long time. this years owls don't look to bring any more muscle or caring to this terrible team. good luck owls, you'll need it for sure.
