I think East takes NV

Now we got some women on Facebook trying to stir up drama saying our student section was spitting on their color guard and the sparkle squad. None of which is true but still crazy. I'm sure words were exchanged from both sides but what do they expect having their people on the visiting sideline and stands. Recipe for a problem. You'd think with all the millions they spent on visual upgrades they would add more visitor seating or seating in the endzone for the band.

They couldn't do anything when they were in our conference the first time. This time won't be any different

This could go either way. DB is still DB. I think we will win a close one but I wouldn't be surprised to see DB win a close one either.

Or have a dedicated field not shared with a baseball field.

For DB to be one of the top 10 biggest schools in TN and the biggest band they SHOULD always win. If we had the numbers like DB you can't tell me Elizabethton wouldn't be on the same level. Anyway this is about football so.. Physical game but after watching both teams EHS is the better of the 2. No common opponents yet but contrary to what DB fans will say I believe this year's team is weaker than last year's. We handled Science Hill who I'd say is probably on par with DB this year. Greeneville struggled with West but were tied with DB. Not sure if that that says more about either DB, West or Greeneville. End of the day EHS is not the same team DB beat up on in the past and I feel we win this in a close one

Not worried. They had some great players last year and we handled them. Their qb has lots of yards against bad teams.

Generally maybe 1 or 2 at any point will leave the county to come to EHS but they get more exposure which allows them more chances to play in college. I'm not sure you grasp the concept of the good ol boy system. Examples would be West Ridge, Science Hill, Boone, DB, Crockett. What's the one thing they do that elizabethton doesn't? They keep the same coaching staff after multiple bad seasons with no clear signs of improvement. The good ol boy system died when they brought Witten in and actually gave him control of the program from bottom to top. Other schools could do well to take notes.

A win is a win but Asheville just lost their D1 guy to AC Reynolds earlier in the week and were down 4 starters. DB did what they needed to do. Hopefully they can get it worked and finish the season strong. Makes all of us look better if our 6a teams do well

On the road again. East is just a small speed bump on our way to the playoffs.

We played them a few times and they are on the level of DB/SH. They are a large school but underachieving and looking at them this season it seems they are a shell of their former selves. DB should win a close one. However don't let the blowout fool you. Providence Day has 2 espn top 300 guys. A 5 star and 4 star and a few 3 star players. So it's not like Asheville is losing to scrubs.

Nah they are happy living in the past with the most wins and jumbo tron history lessons vs teams they beat in the past.

I'm sure more influential people have probably tried to get it worked out but ultimately it comes down to coach and what he wants.

Lawnman, any idea on why we don't play WR? After the merge we lost Central and South so I assumed we would have picked up WR but then they never popped up on our schedule. I feel that would be an no brainer to schedule them as they are another local 6a which would provide a decent game. No worse than some other teams we play ooc and ic

I'd pump the brakes on ring 2 talk. You got 1 win on the season against a team with 0 wins and 3 bad losses(53, 46, 21 pts allowed). It was a great win for you all but the season is more than 1 game. If you all get over the injury bug I think you have a good shot at making some noise but I feel Greeneville, EHS and you guys in that order if the playoff were today.
