  1. EHS: 28 Volunteer: 13 all of EHS points were scored in the first half. Lack of experience(young team and losing 20+ seniors) showed in the 2nd half. Not a 33-6 blowout like last year but a pretty solid win either way.
  2. Both teams coming off of wins. Science Hill barely eeking by SD 10-7 with the Cyclones cruising past the Falcons 28-13 minus a rough road during the 2nd half. EHS won last year while SH finished with only a 4-6 record. I don't know a lot about Soddy Daisy but they went 5-5 in 09. On paper EHS wins this one once again. This might change later in the week but as of now I have: Old and stupid prediction EHS: 31 SHHS: 10 New and more logical prediction EHS: 24 SHHS: 14 I feel that once the Cyclones use this week to correct what went wrong during the 2nd half they will be a much stronger team next week surprising a weaker SH squad then in previous years.
  3. Good win Greeneville. Solid performance from looking at the numbers. Only place to go is up right? Hopefully it will be a good and even game when we meet up lol
  4. Final score 28-13 Elizabethton...I was close in my guess but not close enough *tear* I heard we scored all 28 in the first half and then fell apart the 2nd. Anyone gthat went want to explain what happened? Radio wasn't working for me tonight.
  5. Not sure if it has been done. I'm sure it has been. But playing NCAA 11 and seeing their toughest places to play section made me wonder which stadiums/crowds make it hard for the away team? In no particular order Alcoa, Greeneville, and Elizabethton would be 3 of my picks, at least for the E. TN area in 3a/4a
  6. It's not too much of a fantasy. We won 33-6 last year so adding 11 points isn't totally impossible if we cut down on our TOs which hurt us a lot last year. Still, I think it will be closer then it was last year.
  7. Who will take it? From what I have been hearing and seeing looks like EHS runs away with this one.
  8. There's the confetti lol Toney with #2 TD of the game 14-0
  9. Alcoa with another BIG turnover, Alcoa on Milan's goal line. It could be a long night.
  10. Oh wow...Alcoa fumbles and Milan Recovers on Milan's own 5. Edit: and Alcoa makes a wonderful pick and returns to the 1 yrd line
  11. Milan with a great reception to get away from their own endzone for the first down on a 39yrd catch on 3rd and long. This has the makings of being a good game..until the 2nd half possibly but a good game either way And Alcoa with another good stop...
  12. I have no idea, I wish they would though. We did put CAK and Asheville on our schedule this year so I wouldn't be surprised to see Alcoa on there in the future.
  13. You misread my post. I never said Alcoa needed to move up because we can't hang with them. I said I'd like to see them move up in football to establish themselves as pound for pound best team in TN, which in my opinion they are definitely closer to claiming that than any other 3A or 4A team. While CAK and Loudon are giving them better games year after year Alcoa proved they can beat the big schools and I have confidence they could win the championship at 4A, possibly 5A, and hang with the big dogs in 6A as they did against Maryville which if they win Alcoa gets to say they beat the 6A champs earlier in the year which is worth bragging about no matter where you come from. EHS played up in 4A for years and now that we are where we are supposed to be, 3A, we're tearing up our division. Alcoa is this good now but if they played bigger teams on a regular basis imagine how scary Alcoa would be on the 3A level and above. Also you killed EHS who killed Greeneville who could be the 4A champs so then Alcoa can say they are a better team than the 6A and 4A state champs to an extent. If there was any year that EHS should have played in 4A it would be this year. And while you only have like "520" students your football players quality and prestige would make it seem as if you all had 5200 students. Just because a school has more people to pick from doesn't always mean they have the better team, Alcoa also has the depth to compete with a lot of the bigger teams as well. Anyway if we play future seasons like we did this season we'll probably be seeing Alcoa in future 3A playoffs as well. And as for the other 3A teams getting better to compete, we can only play with what we have to work with(weak conferences) and only a few non conference games. Not all of us can play in the same conference with top TN teams like Alcoa gets to each year.
  14. Congrats to Alcoa, they deserved the win and definitely deserve the state title again. I'd like to see Alcoa move up as well and dominate some of the other divisions(which I honestly believe they could do, 4A-6A as proven this year with their wins over larger teams). I'm glad EHS got the chance to play against you all because while it was a loss we can say we lost to the 6 time 3A state champions. I said in an earlier post it was a win for EHS either way, we lost but we were never supposed to win, its a personal victory for us to even be able to play a team like Alcoa, we weren't even supposed to have made it to the semis but we did. (not knocking the work and dedication from EHS coaching staff and players but no one would have thought we'd make it this far realistically) I was unable to be at the game but I was updated via text message by the mom of one of the seniors that goes to my church. it sounded like an ugly game lol An Alcoa fan said somewhere that Milan wouldn't be running their mouths like EHS but that is wrong, Milan had posters posting crap in the EHS vs Alcoa thread talking about how Milan was so great and such. Anyway I'm with lawnman on what he said to HVWarrior, there is a reason we ran the score up on you and kicked the onside kick with the lead, like lawnman, I won't go into details either but if any team deserved to have the score run up on them it was happy valley. Again, Crongrats to Alcoa, go and bring back another title to ETN. I do think this game MIGHT, a big MIGHT, have gone better if we were able to play in the same division as Loudon, CAK, Alcoa instead of the crappy NETN division. We'd at least be able to prepare for them better if we played them once before
  15. it'll be a fun game. Someone earlier said something to the effect that Alcoa doesn't know how to lose while EHS does. That works just fine because there is no pressure on EHS to win. If we lose it's just another loss, if we win it's probably biggest win in EHS history but as for pressure Alcoa will be the team under pressure, not from the fans or the atmosphere but from the idea that if they lose they will be the first Aloca team to not win a title in the past years as well as losing to a NET team. They say a person who has nothing to lose is the most dangerous, well EHS has nothing to lose and everything to gain. It's kind of a win/win situation for EHS because if Alcoa wins, they beat a team that they were supposed to beat so nothing hurting EHS, if they lose then that speaks for itself. Darn I wish i could go but it was either that or pass up going to see Trans-siberian orchestra...
  16. yeah, their BBQ has received national honors as well...great food
  17. No but our crappy FG kicking did work to their favor.
  18. Im sorry but dont you have a game to worry about this week, and its not with Alcoa! Like I said earlier Cyclones vs Tornados is the real State Championship! That's funny - I would have sworn the real State Championship was the first Friday afternoon in December in Cookeville. Pretty sure that is what the TSSAA has planned, you might want to check with them if you are going to be there. It will be a long drive for you since your team won't be playing!! But don't worry - mine will Alcoa 38 Betsy 7 Yeah, if we or Alcoa had a weak Semi-final team like York we'd be in the championship too. Compare the brackets and see which side had the tougher teams. It was definitely Alcoa/EHS who had the good teams in their bracket. Most of the top teams in 3A were in Aloca/EHS side of the bracket. Just be thankful you all had a cakewalk to get to the finals while the good teams beat each other down. Alcoa vs EHS is basically going to be the Championship game because the winner of this game will win the title. It seems like only Milan fans see it differently. And this is Alcoa vs EHS not Milan VS EHS/Alcoa so quit trying to make anname for your bulldogs by riding on the popularity of our game.
  19. yeah, people told us not to get cocky against AE and that AE would win big but they didn't. It's not being cocky if you can back it up, cocky and confidence are two different things. We know Aloca is not supposed to lose but neither was Austin-East
  20. Quite a number, Visitor side is mostly empty with only the middle section being filled. plus there is a lot of standing room around the gate of the field.
  21. I refuse to make a prediction on this game because it will be so darn good if EHS plays to their true potential. I'm not going to be there(it KILLS me) and this will be the 1st home game I missed but I will be following on the radio and through texing updates Game of the year right here imo..I truly believe EHS has put a lot of doubters to rest this season, particularly those from Knoxville. We are for real and will give Alcoa a game they won't soon forget
