  1. well as it turns out, Franklin wins again. And soft???? I didnt see that at all.. Haddix scored at will..Jamaul had around 8 blocks, and Young scored his 1000 point on a 20 point performance... Although Indy played well they couldnt handle the size and strength of Franklin..good game and glad no one got hurt
  2. I watched the Rebels team play the Spartans last night, and boy did they look tough. But also them Oakland boys shut out a dominant Ootelawh(SP) team. I do not know much about the Patriots but what I do know is that Franklin is playing very well. The defense of Franklin is playing spectacular which i believe is led by Jervis, Wilson, Howard, Gordon, Sellers, and Starnes. They have played a lot better than expected. I would like to know more about Oakland. I am not gong to pick a winner, because everyone know thats football is not played on paper.
  3. MARK MY WORDS. that "rag-tag-duct-tape-dline" will be a force to reckon with! Good Luck and Health to both teams!
  4. WOW..I'm so excited... and if you haven't noticed, our D-Line gets bashed every week before the game, but afterwards, do you hear people talking, NO! And thats what matters. Trust me, they love it when people start to talk trash, they are not the best but the D-Line Howard, Shelton, WIlson, and Jervis are solid, and are ready for this game. So i really hope that Brentwood tries to run it up their gut. How is Franklin's running game sparatic? Please elaborate, Because the running backs have consistent carries every time. And, how many yards does your running back have, because Franklin's have about 1100. And your thing that says FHS cant go for 4 quarters, is just ignorant. McCauley worked Franklin till the end and they didn't give up. Good Luck Rebels!
  5. WOW! I am getting chills just thinking about this game. The rebels are coming off a huge win, plus they have a bye. If they do not get over confident and play their game, they will be hard to beat. But everyone knows how good of a team Brentwood is (even if the Lost to Ravenwood), and also how crazy this rivalry game is. I know that FHS will be prepared and ready after that heartbreaking loss last year. Good Luck Rebels, and don't forget your role.
  6. Everyone PLEASE keep talking trash about the Rebels D. the VARSITY shut out the Eagles tonight. Making it 6 points in 3 straight games. And Keylo Lee and Alex Ford are unstoppible
  7. its going to be a great game no matter who wins. I wish the best luck and the best health to both teams. BUT, the Franklin student section WILL be HYPE tomorrow night. They lost both a principal and a Coach who i hear is "burning" his Franklin stuff. That just adds fuel to Franklin's fire.(not a good choice by Jones)..And the FHS crowd has something that Independence wont be expecting.
  8. And make sure you don't bite your tongue when Franklin wins, the d-lline gets 4 sacks, and the secondary geats 2 interceptions! Good Heath to both teams Friday night! Its going to be a great one.
  9. I agree with you that Franklin hasn't had the best defense that they have had but they are certainly not bad. You said that #3 (Brown) is not a shutdown-corner. I disagree with that statement because if you watched him during the passing tournaments ( which you probably didn't) he shut down almost all of the best receivers of the other teams. I know that people say it doesn't matter until you put on the pads, but I think that everyone would agree that he is one of the hardest workers at FHS. He loves the game and will make sure that he stops whomever is lined up against him. Also, Heckman is a great QB but is stats are not too good this year. He can run the ball when he is under pressure( Which franklin will give him)but has he faced a linebacking corpse of Constantine,Nathan,or Gordon? Probably not, because these three guys are some of the fastest and hardest hitting linebackers in the mid-state. As for the d-line, they have stepped up when they needed to. Howard had 2 sacks against Ravenwood, and Wlson one of the strongest and quickest pound for pound had 1. Jervis is a monster at the D-Line position no matter what his size. The defense has made numerous goal line stops when they needed to. I say they step up their game again at Independance Way on Friday. NEVER DOUBT WEBB!
  10. First of all, Indy will not be strong or even quick enough to stop Lee or Ford. Even if they do, try and stop Starnes, Eaton, and Sellers. I think that Franklin has one of the most potent offensives in the state. Thus, averaging in the upper 20's. And Nichols has about 7 seconds per throw because of that stout line led by Walkup,Jackson,Anderson, Endrenkin, and Combos. And Franklin's defensive? The senior leadership led by Brown, Nathan, Gordon,Howard and Sellers has been unbelievable. Allowing seven points in the last two games is amazing even without their best safety of the past two years Starnes. Good Luck Franklin!
  11. I couldn't agree more with your statement on the special teams. Two very good coaches but i think that the players will improve drastically. And on the defensive side, Howard, Wilson, and Jervis will give Heckman more than he wants. The bigger the game, the better Franklin plays. And the fans are going to be hype and will probably start tailgating at 3.
  12. First of all for those of you who still think Franklin's defense is still weak and slow, they have allowed one touchdown in 2 weeks. And the only reason that happened is because of Franklin's weak point, their kick off team. But i do not think we have to worry about that if Gentry kicks well because they will all go into the end-zone. The defensive starters(some of them came out with about 15-20 minutes to go) didn't look like they allowed more that 60 offensive yards to a very quick and athletic team. And their defensive ends are playing hurt( #41 and #80) so when they are healthy there is no telling how much havoc they can reek.
  13. So i hear that McGavock is a lot better than first expected. What are you all expecting from Franklin and its players.
  14. I watched the game live, that night at midnight and again at 10 the next morning. Ravenwood's lineman are very dirty and very big. but i also noticed that #41 and #40 took it to him every play. They both kept their composure after numerous shots to the neck. They should be proud. And #58 and #57 held their own against them even if he had about 10 inches on them. Good game boys. Lets go to McGavock.
  15. WOW! Franklin played an outstanding game tonight on both sides of the ball. Nichols, who struggled at times, played like a veteran. He made the plays when he had to. Ford and Lee played as they usually do, fantastic. On the other hand those "hand-me down"(as said by Kingz315) secondary players played like champions. I think they took those comments to heart. The d-line played their hearts out. I think that #41 and #58 finall came out of their shells. And i pray for WR #7 for Ravenwood. Good Luck!
