  1. Well, to change the way public education is done nationwide we are going to have to get things changed in the White House but that's a whole different message board. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> Sorry for the "yelling" I wasn't sure if you understood what I mean when I was talking about the one system. I've been in a system like I suggested and seen great test scores in such a school system but that's been a good ten years ago and been another state.
  2. One school system would not mean ONE SCHOOL it one mean ONE SYSTEM with more than one school. There would still be more than one high school kids would just be REQUIRED to attend school in there desginated location rather than being given the option to "pay" tuition to attend a city school. There would still be competition. You obviously are too close minded to give it any further thought. I know your real reasons.
  3. GovMan makes a good point. I don't think Chip Fuller will be looking at this either.
  4. I can't speak for WB's record or how their coaches, AD's or anyone else feels about the decison as I don't know about don't about that end of the county so much. And don't care. I don't have any vendetta's toward Alcoa or Maryville as schools actually I just personally think the whole issue is silly. If the city and county schools would come together as a whole at some point and become one school SYSTEM not one SCHOOL this wouldn't be an issue and you also wouldn't have issues dealing with kids going out of their designated school zone to play. It can be done as it is done in several other states and it does work you just have to be willing to do it. And yes I gladly pay my county taxes and would pay city taxes as well if I lived within the city limits. We all chose where we live.
  5. Laugh at me all you want, genuis, it was RebelRon that said, "Their are Maryville and ALcoa kids that live in the city and go to Heritage and WB but the kicker is they DON'T have to pay tuition." DUH!! Ya think. It all comes down to taxes!! Even I know. And for the record - I am married to a public educator, tyvm.
  6. And their parents are also employed by the county school system so they attend the school system at which their parent's teach. And guess what public education is FREE, so no the county schools don't charge tuition.
  7. First of all, this mama knows more about FOOTBALL than that mama. Secondly, PLAY THE GAME is right. Tell that to the originator of the post who is complaining about the fact that the county schools declined to put Alcoa back on their schedule. Just play football. Move on. It is ONE sport.
  8. And your point is? What I have spoken is truth and facts. I can post more truth and facts. Ask and you shall get them.
  9. Honey, they won't contact you. They want someone they can beat. They weren't crying about our two county teams not playing them last year when WB had a winning record. Solomon - why don't you take a look at how many tuition kids Alcoa and Maryville has from the county? Level the playing field a little more.
  10. All right boys and girls time to listen to Mama... Contrary to popular belief the county schools DID attempt to drop Maryville from their schedule, however the POWERS THAT BE, knowing the future refused to let that happen because they knew that both the County schools and Maryville would be placed in the same district. Some would call the County schools cowards. The County felt that Maryville and Alcoa should have the opportunity to play other "Nike Elite" schools and prove their medal to America rather than beat up on two weakling schools like WB and Heritage. Furthermore, aren't 5, 6, and 7 Championship Rings bragging rights enough to you than just a win over these two mediocre county schools? We are merely looking out for your National Ranking so that your pretigious "Nike Elite" ego can carry you further. Nevermind the fact that Alcoa is currently a 2A team and both WB and Heritage are 5A. Next year Alcoa will REMAIN a 2A team and WB and Heritage will be 6A teams in a 9 team district. Maryville is currently a 4A team who will be 6A as well. Under the new "BCSZ Plan" a win against Alcoa does nothing for either of these schools while a loss could end all hopes of a playoff birth. But I suppose you would be okay with that as long as your Alcoa boys got their chance to "fellowship" with our boys, huh???? Perhaps everyone should just bow down to Alcoa city and do as they want because they are after all "Big Bad Alcoa." /rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> I suggest this rivalry be renewed when the state of Tennessee ends the whole city/county school systems and goes back to requiring ONE school system per county. I always enjoy someone talking about how broke their program is when they have a $5000 blowup to run through and they are working on a new stadium and new field turf in the near future. Take it for what it's worth. Alcoa you are simply the best. You can have all the bragging rights over the two county schools, wear your rings and pat yourselves on the backs. *That's Mama's Daily Scoop... Peace, Love, and Football...
