I've only saw Greenback play against Hampton but I did see Grace Christian play twice this year. This game will not be close. Greenback will score and score often. Grace will have trouble matching the speed of Greenback. Greenback 42 Grace Christian 14

Tonight's game is the reason that Region 2 could earn a clean sweep. Grace had the better athletes. Cosby stayed in the game and could have won had it not been for a few mistakes. Who was the old man standing near the fence on Cosby sideline with the blue ball hat on. My God he was getting with it.

Both of you need to grow up a bit. Yes, the onside kicks were a factor and Cosy wouldn't have won the game without them. But on the otherhand, give the Eagles credit for doing what they had to do to win the game. First was recover them and the second was put the ball in the end zone. They did both. As for your powerhouse 3-A schools,you beat a bad 3-6 Gibbs team, Pigeon Forge 2-7 whose wins are over Hancock County (2-7) and Union County (1-8). Grainger is 5-4 with wins of Pigeon Forge, Claiborne County who you lost to, beat Chuckey-Doak and Union Coounty both 1-8 and Hancock. You also struggled against a weak Unaka team. Both of you are way off base. Football wasn't invented in Carter County but sticking your middle finger up must have been invented in Cocke County. Some of your Cosby faithful gave us the salute on the way out.

Honey I've been to a few of the Hampton practices, all of the JV games and most of the varsity and we don't have anybody including EO that can come close to kicking it from 45 out. If EO could, last night would have been the perfect time for him.

Yes it should have been a touchdown but can you believe this? We had every chance in the world to win and blew it. Cosby and now Happy Valley. Can we please get a kicker? How many times have we lost because we didn't have anybody to a kick extra point or field goals. Pujo I said the other day that Coach Andrews was working with Logan and he was hitting them from 45 in but I found out tonight it was actually Unaka's kicker Drew that was up there practicing. I don't care to get beat but four onside kicks and now this. Give me some nerve pills please.

DB said that Coach Tim had Logan up there kicking field goals over the weekend and he was very good at it. Why not let him try to kick a few.

If Poe doesn't get back, Midway is no better than Cloudland. If he plays they're as good as Greenback and Oneida.

I'm not sure but it might have to do with burning a barn. Pujo I'm hearing we might get a few good athletes in that can help next year in some areas we've been weak in. Have you been out recruiting?

PUJO from what I learned, Midway had three very good players out tonight including Poe, not injury related. If what they're accused of doing is true, they'll not be back and the top two seeds in Region 1 will have a good shot at winning in the first round.

I spoke with one of the coaches this week and he said that Hampton could field one of its strongest in recent years next season. Is Ward and Lyons coming back out or are we getting some new faces or what?

Not the case LB36. Oneida, Greenback and Midway are much better teams this year. I don't think that will be the case next year. Too man seniors. Harriman is very talented but sometimes they do crazy stuff. Type of team that might win by 20 or lose on doing something stupid. You might think its a bunch of poop but let's wait and see how all this pans out. I'll bet it smells bad after the first round. I've seen Cosby play twice and you don't have the speed or size to match up with Midway, Oneida or Greenback. Neither does Hampton, Grace or Cloudland and I am a diehard Bulldog fan and would love to see Cloudland win. May the 1 slips by the 4 but I doubt it.

Move Price to tailback, get Dylan Ward to come back out and find us a kicker, one lineman and somebody that can catch the ball. Does Herzog want to transfer?

Let's see if I'm right after next week. 1. Grace (beats Cloudland and Cosby in two very close games) 2. Cosby (Just because I said every team would have a loss in the league) 3. Hampton (don't matter, no team is going to win a game from this region) 4. Cloudland (Having to play Oneida stinks. The 500 mile round trip really stinks.

This is just one area of special teams play that kills us. What would our record be if we had somebody who could kick a field goal? Roberson had done a great job of punting but if we had a kicker who could hit one from 35 in, I believe we might have won all but one game. That not been an issue on recent teams until now. If the Dogs can get a good kicker one or two good lineman and a decient running back for next year, I believe we can get back to being the team we were two or three years ago.

This is a Hampton / Happy Valley thread. Cosby is over. Where are the Bulldog faithful? The kids are currently 4-4 and everbody has left the message boards. Is everybody just a fair weather fan or are you True Blue. Big county rival game on Friday night. Let's here it Pujo and some of you other Bulldog diehards.

The difference in Hampton now than in the past is line play. Logan is a very good lineman but we are getting pushed around. Cosby's line was better on Friday and it showed late in the game. And my gosh do we have anybody who can kick a field goal or extra point. How many times have we had to go for two or had the ball inside the 20 with nobody to kick one through. We might not finish no better than the third seed but it won't matter because I don't think anybody will win a playoff game from Region 1. PUJO if Hampton expects to compete next year they better step up their line play, getting a running back and definately get a kicker.

Does Cloudland really need this kind of post to fire them up? Is this our future FB we're talking aboutl?

This is a situation where losing becomes contagious. Some of it falls on the coaches but most of it lies within the kids. They have some good athletes walking the halls but for whatever reason they chose not to play football. They've been great over the years in basketball but now that progam has hit near the bottom. They are good in baseball every year and that won't change with the current players they have now. It takes athletes to play those two sports just like it does football. I believe the coaches work hard but sometimes you've got to mix it up and try some new things. When you only have 20 or whatever number they have, you can't have competition for positions in practices for fear of getting somebody hurt. Kids become complacent knowing they going to start no matter how good or bad they do. Some of Hampton's practices are just as hard hitting as the Friday night games. They're not afraid to try new people in different spots and some position changes have been made due to practice performance. Unaka will keep it close for a while but Cloudland pulls away in the second half. Cloudland 27 Unaka 14

Cosby was fortunate to win at Cloudland and they should have lost at Unaka. I will give them credit for finding ways to win those games. But Hampton is much different. They will line up and run the ball down Cosby's throat. When they need to pass they'll pass. Herzog will be covered like a blanket and when that happens, the Eagles have no speed to pose any break away threat. Not only does Hampton win but they'll win big. Cosby will do no better than third in District 1-A. I feel for them and Cloudland. Greenback and Oneida will kill both of them. I'll say Hampton by two touchdowns but I believe it will be a whole lot more.

I've seen both of these teams play and this game will be won in the trenches. Hampton's line is far superior that that of Cosby's. Herzog is their only offensive threat with any speed. Hampton 28 Cosby 13
