  1. the interception was a killer--D still couldn't stop Smyrna even after Bryson went out--
  2. Compare wins over quality opponents and it looks like this: Smyrna: Brentwood x2, Beech, Blackman, Riverdale, and Oakland--------- MJ: Hendersonville, McGavock X2 (it pains me to call McGavock a quality team they play zero defense and ran their record up in a super soft district)--------it is pretty apparent which team played the tougher schedule--by 10 PM Friday night this will be settled one way or the other
  3. A chance for MJ to put the program on the map Friday night--Will be tough though as they have played a weaker schedule (especially 6A opponents) and through last week the combined record of their opponents was 52-62. This doesn't exactly leave them well prepared for the likes of Smyrna--yes they have a good offense but who wouldn't against the likes of McGavock, Station Camp, Portland, White's Creek and Kenwood? Some could argue that this is their first tough draw all year long--soon we shall see-----contender or pretender???
  4. nice--spell focused correctly please--atleast MJ will win the ACT battle!
  5. if you compare the quality of the 6A teams each school has played then advantage Smyrna--MJ has played the likes of McGavock, Lebanon, and Wilson Central--if you can't stop Haymer can you realistically hope to stop Bryson and Co?
  6. McGavock can't possibly be as wretched the second time around---MJ wins a closer game 31-21
  7. how did mj score the 40? any missed fg's or xp's?
  8. No contest---Bears can sleepwalk through next couple of weeks---next stop Beech
  9. another weak opponent defeated--MJ's season will be defined by the Beech game---Wilson Central, Portland, and Station Camp though district foes are all also weak
  10. don't be hatin' on the Bears...ya'll are just jealous of our world class facilities
  11. Bears should go on a nice run here--it is quite possible they could win all their games leading up to the Beech contest--win that one and it's back-to-back 9-1 seasons!
  12. As A Bear fan I too would like to see better non-district opponents scheduled. The credibility of the MJHS program would take a quantum leap forward with a Brentwood, Blackman, Riverdale, Oakland or other such team scheduled during the year. Kenwood in particular should not be on the schedule, the school isn't even close geographically speaking.
  13. Most complete game by an MJ "D" in several years...should be smooth sailing up to the Beech game as MJ's next 5 opponents sport an eye-popping 7 wins and 15 losses record to date

are you saying that MJ has changed starting QB's--I have not heard that to be the case--#7 may have gotten more playing time because the game was a creamfest
