CAN ANYONE TELL ME WHAT KIND OF CROWD WILL COME TO POLK COUNTY FROM KINGSTON. I'M TRYING TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE PLENTY IN THE CONCESSION STAND FOR EVERYONE TO EAT AND DRINK. I don't see Meigs scoring at all. Nothing against Meigs but Polks D is just too tough this year. I just hope there isn't any injuries this year.

CONGRATS TO THE HUSTLIN TIGERS! IT WAS ONE MORE GREAT BATTLE BETWEEN TWO VERY TALLENTED TEAMS. I TALKED TO OUR CHAIN GANG THAT WAS ON HOWARDS SIDELINES AND THEY COMPLIMENTED YOUR PLAYERS ON THEIR MANNERS AND DISCLIPLINE. NO BAD LANGUAGE OR SMACK TALKING OR ANY THING. COACH TARVER AND HIS ASSISTANTS ARE DOING AN OUTSTANDING JOB AT HOWARD AND THEY ARE AN ASSET TO THEIR COMMUNITY. I APPLAUD THEM! THE GAME WAS A HARD NOSED BATTLE AND COULD HAVE GONE EITHER WAY WITH A COUPLE OF KEY PLAYS. THE ONLY THING I HAVE TO SAY IS THAT A LOT OF OUR (POLK) KEY PLAYERS ARE SOPHOMORES. THAT SHOULD GIVE A HINT AS TO THE NEXT TWO YEARS. COACH DAVIS IS DOING A TREMENDOUS JOB AT POLK AND THE YOUTH LEAGUE COACHES ARE DOING A FANTASTIC JOB AS WELL. THE ARE SENDING UP SOME FINE YOUNG BALL PLAYERS TO THE NEXT LEVEL AND COACH DAVIS AND HIS ASSISTANTS ARE DOING A BANG UP JOB AS WELL. I applaud the coaches and the seniors that all agreed that these young men need to go. They obviusly are not concerned for their team mates, they are out for themselves. When God and and paddleing were taken out of school a message was sent to the students that you can do what you want with no repercussions. When i was a child and i pitched a hissey fit, my parents busted my butt right there and then. I learned there was consequenses for bad behavior. If these young men don't learn this right now then you will probably read about them in the paper somewhere down the road and it won't be for any accolades. Send a message now to these young adults that there is a reaction to every action. Good or bad you have to take responsibility for your own actions. Period.

Some folks are talking about speed on Howard and Centrals team, i agree they have it but if you think about it containment will out weigh speed and that will be a big factor on the sweetwater,howard and central games. to trevy. in sunday's paper it referred to a knoxville team(i think) had given up fewer points than polk but the last game they gave up i think 16 points to make polk the stingiest team so far by only giving up 8 so far
