I agree with you 100%on the topic of looking past your opponent. I would hope these are not GC players on here looking well beyond the game Friday night. I believe we learned that in football 101. Defense has to step up this game and more if they expect to progress thru the tournament. Defense wins Championships!

Great highschool football game. Running game for GC proved to be the deciding factor. Offensive line blocked really well. GC was very fortunate that MC had difficult time throwing and catching the football, especially when receivers were wide open. Someone has to explain the breakdown in coverage on the last touchdown by MC. Oh! the inappropriate1 #15, how many drop balls with the ball in the numbers.

Anyone got any scoop on this years basketball team? what the expectations are? along with JV and freshmen?

Best in the region? Are you really saying your QB can't hit an open receiver down field?

I was hoping we had a few freshmen or sophmore receivers that might step up and play the receiver and/or defensive back positions next year.

I'll have to disagree you on this one. The secondary is not even close to being average, very inconsistent. The offense is not strong at all positions, the receiving corps is lacking size and consistency. We have proved we can run the ball which allows us to spread the field and throw against single coverage. Good receivers will give you yards after catch, I dont remember that happening very often this year. Ricos injury really hurt in this area.

I see it close at halftime and into the third quarter and then possibly GC will wear them down in the 4th. Almost every team we played has had sucess throwing the football against us, dont know why that would change now. OC will probably have to put Bo and Tobias on defense during key situations to eliminate the big play. GC must not turn the ball over and allow MC to stay close.

I agree with you on this one. If Bo had some big time receivers he could possibly win thi, although I think next year if he stays healthy he can take it home with him

One of the advantages is that you can pick and choose who attends the school. You have proven each year that your above average in 3A so why not make it a little more challenging in the higher division.

Who really cares how many fans show up on either side of the field. Your right GC couldnt catch him and I dont know how many teams will, hes a special player, Again! You will need him to win. Without him GC wins that ballgame.

Absolutely a great high school footbal game to watch as a fan. Both coaches had awesome game plans, unfortunately,DL had one player who could take over a game, and he did. My take: Officiating did not win or lose this ballgame! GC had an opportunity to win, critical turnover late along with poor defense on last DL drive proved to be the factor. GC clearly dominated the line of scrimmage on the offensive side of the ball. I dont know if DL can win it all without the Rogers kid, ope hes okay. When is GC gonna correct the issues with the defesive backs?

You guys have serious issues. This is JUST a High School football game.

DL's offense will have a field day throwing the football. Too much speed at the receiver position along with a solid offensive line will allow them to throw at will. GC will need to pull 2 to 3 of the playmakers on offense and put them at defensive back. GC really could use a D-1 receiver to help spread the field, losing # 1 receiver really hurt .

Bulldog needs to take a Xanex! For some reason he thinks GC disrespects his team, which could be further from the truth. Also, our stadium may not be the best around but we do the best we can and are putting an effort into making it one of the best again. Do u need bulletin board material or a game played last year to get you motivated to play hard? Also, I'm sure your coach is good, but its been several years since GC has played at a consistent level mainly due to our coaching staff.

I would probably agree that GC made a poor decision by throwing late in the game, although it may have something to do with all the late hits on our QB during the game. The Page defense has to be really improved from last years team to stop the GC offense.

Good football game, Columbia proved that the Bobcat defense needs improvement and im sure Coach OC will put emphasis on it. Columbia could have thrown all night to #88. If he was'nt open he was being held down the field. I was impressed by the backup QB stepping in and making big plays. Columbia's in for a long year!

No question the defense has gotten better, however, the offense of the teams we have played is well below par. My opinion, a well established passing team will show our weaknesses.

Our defense has not been tested all year.
