  1. Steve, you must not know much about high school football. Loudon gave Alcoa a great game. The Redskins have a very strong team. Loudon has been one of Alcoa's toughest games over the years and the 2 teams will probably meet again come November...
  2. The Alcoa-Fulton game will be the rivalry game on thursday night. I think it will be on my vlt. Same station as the Catholic-Farragutt, Loudon-LC,... games. It should be a good game. Any word on the Fulton player who was taken off via stretcher last night?
  3. Alcoa is a lot better than what it showed last night. The line looked slower and didnt really have a lot of enthusiasm. That will deffinatly improve. The defense looked very strong in the shutout. Honestly think that maybe Alcoa overlooked the redskins, that wont happen again this year. The F5 will play a lot better in upcoming weeks.
  4. the F5 air attack will be fine. Last night they knew they needed to establish the run to open it up against a good Loudon team. The run game never really got going, thus the passing didnt either. Remember, the one game that Alcoa did attempt a significant number of passes, Tallent threw 2 TDs and Hogan(back-up) threw for anouther against Bell Co. It is no secret Alcoa wants to run. Word is a lot of the guys last night were playing sick and hurt. But i wouldnt be to worried about it though...
  5. Bee Cee....We's Richie Cream peepull.... Dunkin's (Doe-nuts, Playurs, and Coaches) iz fer Alcouh.....lol... So.......Muvul don't run on Dunkin's! Got it! Maryville dont run on Alcoa's D either...
  6. I have had many many many good factual posts the last two weeks BC. I apologize if my factual posts are not something you want everybody to know. Someday.....you might figure it out. In the meantime continue stalking and photo-shopping. Two things you are great at..... It just too bad for all us coacht posters your not as smart as you think you are! But if you where........Oh man, GQ would be out of a job! You deserve a donut! Who is us and what does the rest of the coacht posters have to do with this. Prove me wrong on anything I stated......doubt you can. BC....I think you are losing it.....bordering pathetic. prove you wrong? hmm shouldnt be too hard, didnt you say Alcoa had no shot at beating maryville without a passing game? and again i will say, the Tornadoes have a solid air attack, but why throw it when the other team cant stop the run?
  7. They may win against OR. But remember this, Aloca beat a team that was down this year, GQ said it last year. Everone knows it except you. So enjoy your... Uhh win. Maryville is down? up until 2 days ago maryville was god of hs football and were gonna drill Alcoa. Dont make excuses because you lost to the F5 and will not win your region because you actually have to play some real competion (no offense to Powell,SD,West,Central...).
  8. Alcoa did run 1 option with a pitch. according to everything i've seen, spikes do not count as pass attempts...
  9. Both teams are coming off rivalry wins. Now on to a game that could decide home field and playoff spots. Loudon is good but Alcoa is just a beast this year. What do yall think?
  10. Sorry but this stat is wrong. Alcoa didnt attemp a pass all night...
  11. What you should be saying is that Alcoa FINALLY got one after how many yrs? Instead you get on here talking out both sides of your mouth. Congrats to Alcoa. How am i talking out of both sides?
  12. We beat murvil's tail. The O-Line dominated. And to all the murvil posters who ran their mouths, HARITAGE AND WB HAVE BETTER RECORDS THAN YOU. Why were yalls fans leaving with 5+ minutes to go? hmm, anyone want to talk more crap???
  13. How is this the biggest rivalry? hmm 1200+ people every year, close games, genuine dislike for each other,"rich vs poor", county bragging rights, pride, the 2 best teams in the state, championships, and so on... just wondering, what do you think the biggest rivalry is???
  14. Marcel should be able to go Friday. He injured his leg early in the game at Bell Co. Burchfield(63) moved over from the right side to take over for Marcel after the injury and Weatherly(79) steped into the right side for Burchfield. Both played very well, as did the entire line. Eventhough Marcel should play friday, he will probably be limited in practice this week. A lot of people questioned Alcoa's passing game, but after last week, they seem to feel right at home with Tallent at QB.
  15. Your post leaves doubt in your mind. That is why Maryville will win. Alcoa people always have that little bit of doubt in the back of their mind. Maryville's mindset is they will win. No doubt about it. NO doubt here. just trying to not be cocky or whatever. As far as the 2nd highlighted part, maryville will have to do the same. stoping the run and the pass is how any team wins a big game...
  16. Maryville is not in any of the kids heads that will play. The Tornadoes know that they have a great chance to win. I think its more of a when things go bad, the mood on the sidelines(by the younger players) drops. Depth on the lines has also been an issue in the past. I think Alcoa can go 3 deep at every spot on the line and not have a big drop off. The Alcoa passing attack will be just fine, the new kids are starting to get comfortable with the offense and developing good chemistry. Nobody doubts the rushing game in the Aluminum city. Maryville lost a lot last year but quarles always finds a way to develop players. Alcoa will have to get pressure on maryvill's qb and stop the run to win. Looking forward to the game.
  17. Bell Co. is a good team. BUT, Alcoa will have too much speed, too much depth, too much athleticsim for the bobcats. Alcoa should win this one by a large margin. Next week will be a test for the F5. Alcoa will come out in the maroon and gray while maryville will rock the black and white stripes(thats just for you mlreb). but seriously, whichever team gets better play in the trenches will win the BC rivalry.
  18. Alcoa may have the "gene pool" but maryville has the money...and Larry Hunt... not complaining, just stating facts.
  19. Disagree. Im not one who usually complains about officiating but Larry Hunt is bias on every level, grasshoppers to high school. You know its bad when he calls it on maryville, but on Alcoa? if you look at the WR you get a flag. And I would like to once again point out, the guy who got called for it wasnt even on the field. If i remember correctly, he got black balled from AMS games. Im not knocking Maryvilles team. They have great tallent on both sides of the ball and are my pick to win 6A. But I think that the players should determin the game, not BS calls or non-calls made by allumni.
  20. 5 in a row!!! murvil? 0 in a row. Its easy to win when u have allumni officiating the games(right Larry Hunt, pass interfeirence on someone that isnt on the field when the score is 13-13 on a 3rd and long late in the forth quarter) great call but back to the game, Alcoa fans are rowdy yes, but they will prove that they are classy too. Alcoa will beat Bell and get ready for next week...
  21. The scrimages are over now time to start some real football. IN week 0 Alcoa will take their 5 straight state titles to KY and square off against the 4A KY champs in Bell Co. I dont think that Bell will have enough to slow down the F5. Should be a good game though. Any other thoughts?
  22. First of all, Bell Co. is 4A. You keep saying that Alcoa cant establish a physical team or a passing game. Yes there will always be a few bugs to work out when breaking in a new QB and new WR's. But they are coming together and developing good chemistry. And as far as the physicality, just ask CAK, Marion Co, Milan, Oak Ridge, Farragut about how physical the Tornadoes are... Alcoa has come very close recently without the "big plays" you seem to want to talk about. Maryville on the other hand seems to get more "big plays" than Alcoa has, including trick plays. You seem to have no respect for Alcoa's team or their style of play.
  23. OLDDE just likes to post the same thing, word for word, on every Alcoa board... so again, OR is a quality team, and Bell Co. is defending champs. WB sucks and everyone knows it. And having the ability to make big plays dosnt make Alcoa a smoke and mirrors team,, it makes them a good one. And to say that Alcoa isnt a real team is just plain stupid. You dont win as much as Alcoa does by being a smoke and mirrors team. 5 IN A ROW AND COUNTING
  24. Oak Ridge is still a good team. Nobody thinks that wb is worth anything but niether is Haritage or Greenback. Bell Co. is still the defending 4A State Champs and have a lot of tallent. To say that Alcoa will no be prepared is a joke. They do a great job preping for every game. The passing game will be just fine and the kicking is improving, Castro has had a groin injury bothering him but should be back to 100% by the 28th. But like i said before, both teams have good skill guys, so the offensive and defensive lines of both teams will determin the outcome.
  25. Lets see how long we can go without someone crying because good players in Blount County want to play for the best teams, Alcoa and Maryville. Both city teams proved at the jamboree that even when they show absolutly nothing, they still are too much for they county teams... Back to the topic, This years game will be won in the trenches.
