  1. Final Score: Alcoa a lot, your school 0. "its not fair(blah blah blah)... open zone(blah blah blah)... recruiting(blah blah blah)." Do yall haters ever get tired of crying?
  2. MEMO TO ALL THE HATERS: Go win 6 concecutive state championships at any level then see how many teams line up to play you. I promise that the line will be shorter than the line at Milan's silver store.
  3. It's a big secret. Only thing is, everyone in the country knows except you. Hmmmm... guess not, but what I do know is MUS and Alcoa both went 15-0 and both won state. What I dont know is how you can claim to be the best in the state when you didnt play either of the perennial powers in Tennessee, the F5 and maryville. Everybody knows that west tn is the weakest of the 3 sections of the state. it took maryville like 3 undefeated years in a row to crack the top 25 and Alcoa 6 championships in a row to get in top 50. the rankings always favor the privale schools. just something we have to deal with i guess.
  4. To bad we dont know who the best team in the state is. the private school or the small school. I guess 1 ring +$$$ > 6 straight rings(7 this decade). hmmm
  5. Refresh my memory....I do not think you scored A SINGLE POINT against our starting defense last year..... Never mind I will refresh yours..... 1. blocked quick kick that Coleman scooped and scored.... 2. finally had a sustained drive against the F3's in mop up duty.... Last year's game was not close, but if it makes you feel better, keep telling yourself it was. You are just as arrogant as you were last year. You guys scored on special teams as well, and I believe your starters were in when we scored in the 2nd half, but if it makes you feel better then you can keep telling yourself that they were not. By the way, did you forget that we were driving and in the red zone about to make it a one score game in the 4th. Your starters were in on that drive too. Quit fooling yourself. It is that kind of blind arrogance that is going to lead to a deep depression when Alcoa does get beat. I can honestly say that Milan did not score an offensive point on our starting d last year. how do i know this? because I was in and i didnt start on d last year
  6. I also like the way Oak Ridge walks down through the stands before they play. Still favor Alcoa though. im a homer
  7. I agree that its what happens between the wistles that matters. just trying to lighten things up admist all the trash talk.
  8. Alcoa's "Too Hype", Betsy's "we run this s***", Maryville's iron cross? who has the best pre-game in the state?
  9. its JaRon DO NOT correct a legend little man...... its still JaRon (thats pronounced "Ja Ron" not "jairin")
  10. I am so sorry to hear about the death in the cak family. We (Alcoa) know how it feels to have a father of a player pass away like that, then senior Jeff Hickman's dad died durring the playoffs last year. I know it is hard not seeing him in the stands but he now has the best seats in the house for the rest of #20's(sorry dont know name) life. All of us in at Alcoa feel for you and I will continue to pray for you and your family. Again sorry for your loss.
  11. the officials for the Alcoa-CAK game were some of the worst i have ever seen. facemask on the opening kick-off. defensive holding to call back a int. 35 yard penalty on Alcoa's first drive, pass interference every other incompletion. missed kick-catch interference on a hit by a cak player on a defensless returner, and so on. seems like a cak booster made a generous donation to the zebra exibit at the knoxville zoo. does anyone have an opinion on the poor officiating.
  12. Alcoa actually picked up 2 wins tonight. The beat the warriors and the zebras. I have never seen a 35 yard penalty before... The F5 showed a lot of rezealence tonight while the refs were terrible. it was so bad that the Alcoa fans joyfully erupted after a ref called a facemask on cak. I think i saw some 20s fall out of one refs pocket when he was throwing a flag...
  13. Alcoa is a public school. They players are kids who either "get off the yellow bus" and those who choose to pay the tuition fee to get into the school system. Yes it is fair that kids choose to go to Alcoa.
  14. recruiting was a source of talent at riverdale when the previous coach was there, sure that doesn't go on at Alcoa......especially when such a large company is in the area. ...No...they don't have to recruit but it's WIDE OPEN for any kid from anywhere to join the squad. That is proven by their 37% and growing OOZ/tuition players but....no....Alcoa is not recruiting. Someone is still a little sad over a 41-24 beatdown...
  15. How about 250 yds and 6 tds against Maryville, one of the top 6a teams in the state? That spectacular enough for you?
  16. What part of "on pace to break state TD record while only playing in the 1st halves of games" do you not understand?
  17. I've seen all 4 play this year. Here's my take on each of the 4. Jobronski Gilbert - A very hard nosed runner and isn't afraid to run you over. His speed is aceptionally good as well. He's a typical Milan RB and does the job to perfection. At LB, Jobronski is extremely explosive and very quick to the ball if Avery doesn't get there first. He will take a players head off if they don't watch it. Jobronski is a good kid from what I hear as well! Jaron Toney - A quicker RB than Jobronski and has strength to go with his speed. He single handily beat Maryville by himself with 6 TD's and 350+ yards rushing. That alone should be him up for nomination for Mr. Football. As DB he was quick to the ball (as was the whole Alcoa defense) and let no defenders get behind him in his coverage. To be honest, Toney is my pick to win Mr. Football for backs. (No offense to Jobronski) Avery Williamson - He is probably the best LB in this area since Chris Donald of Huntingdon. The 49 tackles through week 7 is very deceiving on how he plays. He hasn't gotten to play the second half of several games as is the case with Jobronski. Avery Williamson is very much like Chris Donald in size and play making ability. The only thing that Avery has on Chris is 22 tackles in a state championship game. Those 22 tackles against Alcoa is something that voters need to keep in mind from last year. Avery is definately worthy of getting a nomination for Mr. Football this year!!!! Tyler Robinson - He's an absolute BEAST on both sides of the ball! I had heard talk about him and figured he was good, but he is alot better than I thought he was. I was extremely impressed with Robinson and he's a head hunter out on the field as well. Robinson WILL WIN Mr. Football for linemen in 3A. I wouldnt say JaRon beat murvil by himself. He had an outstanding game but you have to give some credit to the O-Line/bocking WR's and the D.
  18. JaRon is a great running back. What seems to get overlooked his his outstanding play on the F5 D.
  19. MLREB you seem to whine about everything. When Alcoa pounded murvil, he made excuses and gave no credit to Alcoa. Now you bring up the open zone talk. Just give the small school some credit and get over it.
  20. Speaking of which, where is Maryville's baseball field? OHH! That's right. They don't have one. I sure am glad that my donations to Maryville College benefit the MHS baseball program. As far as Goddard field is concerned, It is more than adequate to accept the demands of our schedule. Maryville has th nicest baseball field in the county. Thanks for donating to MC to keep our field plush and green. You are correct.....Goddard field is adequate but it's still a dump... The field is very good, away bleachers are amoung the best for visitors, and have you seen the new locker room? Alcoa has some of the top facilities in east tn. and remember, only 500 kids in the school.
  21. Alcoa and Smith Co. are 2 of the best. Both have great atmosheres. The traditions/fans at Alcoa make it a very tough place to place, and Smith Co.'s away locker room is a hike to get to.
  22. Both teams are coming off hard games. Fulton with a tough loss against AE, and Alcoa struggled a little against Loudon. This should be a good game Thursday.
