  1. We do not need to pass. We can beat Franklin on the ground. Brentwood will be more than happy to run the ball all over/ around/ through. Brentwood KNOWS they can overwhelm Franklin "one-on-one" "face-to-face" on the ground. "AmbiguousRock", we do not need to put the ball in the air to win this game. All we need to do is tighten our chin-straps one notch tighter. Because we are coming right for you Franklin.
  2. Boastful Brenwtood??? Over-Confident? Dizzy Dean once said "It aint braggin' if you can do it." Truer words have never been spoken. Feisty Franklin? When I think of the word "feisty" I think about a team who is scrappy and will fight to win. Nothing about Franklin is "feisty" or "scrappy." A "feisty" team does not give a game away in the fourth quarter. A "feisty" team does not fold-like-a-chair when the region championship is on the line. Franklin fans will swarm this board name-dropping and talking about revenge, but let me tell you Rebels a few things. Your "poster-boys" #4 , who you all tote as the "best running combo in the state", but those two could not find their way around or through the B-Wood Defensive front, which in turn meant you O-line was not able to push our front-7 around. #9 (Mr football candidate) we saw, and conquered one "Mr. Football" last week. How can you call Franklin "feisty"??? How is a Defense who could not get off a single block, "feisty"??? How is a Offensive backfield that could not get outside our Defense more "athletic"??? How is an O-line who continually missed blocks, "Feisty"??? When I think about the Franklin Rebels, I think about what they called the Hendersonville Commandos this past weekend..."OVER-RATED"
  3. Centennial needs to understand its past. For years They have been the laughing stock of the Williamson County teams. Teams like Brentwood and Franklin had existed for years, and were established programs because of that, and when teams like Ravenwood and Independence quickly grew into threats, that only added to Centennial's grief. This year was a step in the right direction for the cougars. Although to many throughout the county CHS is still viewed as the helpless little brother. When kids think of Centennial football they think of years of disappointment. And while this year was a great improvement it is going to take a few more 7-8 win seasons coupled with beating a few cross-town rivals to truly breathe life into this program. Re-building takes time, and this is just the first step. Great game Friday Great over-all season, see you all next year
  4. Those of us at Brentwood fully understand the meaning behind this game. This quarterfinal game has massive implications in the over-all scheme of things. In the past 6 meeting between these teams, Brentwood has won 4 of the 6, and we have only lost once to Franklin on our field. Basically I am telling the Franklin fans, your dear #4, #9, #15, #5 have never witnessed a Franklin victory on Brentwood turf...and this is not the year. Revenge? While it may be the one word on the Rebels' minds... DESTINY is the word on Brentwood's mind. "WilCoFan" watch your words, and choose them carefully, because as this game looms closer on the horizon you will see more & more similarities between it and your INDY showdown last year (if you know what I mean). THIS IS NOT ABOUT REVENGE FRANKLIN, THIS IS ABOUT DESTINY BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY
  5. I know it is the weekend, and we are recovering from the game that took place the night before, we all are also basking in the glory of another play-off victory added to our schedules. But we have discussed the possibility of this game, and now it is six days away. I know Franklin went through the Hunter's Lane Warriors and Hendersonville Commandos like a hot knife through butter. I want everyone to know that even though HHS claimed to be a defensive football team they are not near the level of the Brentwood Bruins. Brentwood has been tested, we play in region-6, and need I remind those floating across CoachT...that 1 lose Franklin has on its record was delivered courtesy of the Brentwood Bruins. Franklin travels to BHS and Franklin fans will have to reach all the way back to 2004 to recall the last time they beat the Bruins on their own field. WE ARE BRENTWOOD!!! WE HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN THAT, EVEN THOUGH MANY OF YOU ALL HAVE!!!
  6. I will explain the usage of the term "crushed". Brentwood won the game in the fourth quarter, but it is how they scored the winning TD that deserved the term "crushed". Brentwood ran over and through Franklin on that last drive, Krow and crew lined up and beat Franklin when it mattered. Best of all they beat Franklin's Defense, and Franklin is usually defined as a "defensive powerhouse", and Brentwood beat Franklin at their own game.
  7. Franklin by 10 Franklin by 14 Franklin wins... Listen, Rebel Nation I know you are accustomed to blowing opposing teams out of the water Hillsboro- Franklin jumped up by two TD's early Ravenwood- Franklin absolutely destroyed RHS McGavock- Same ole' story Independence- 41 points...do I really need to say anything else And when I say "blowing teams out of the water", I am talking about 95 yard kick-off return, 70+ yard runs, long-ball TDs. Brentwood brings a different caliber of total package defense to the table than Franklin has ever seen before. Brentwood brings a defense to the field that will take away those "game-breaking-plays". FHS has never tried to run that "inside trap" against a linebacker like Cole T. (#44). But I wonder what is going to happen when Franklin does not jump up to a multiple TD lead, will they be able to handle that? will FHS be able to fight for every yard, are Ford & Lee going to be able to "grind-out" every single yard? That dominant running game (that every FHS fan boasts) will be subject to a serious test Friday night, and that test is going to be fought in the trenches. Franklin's O-line is going to get bullied around all night long by Brentwood's powerful front-7. For the first time, the Franklin O-line is going to have to play a full-4-quarters, and they are going to play every quarter in misery. Brentwood is stronger and more-dicsiplined up-front, and BHS front line will wear Franklin's offense out. What is going to happen when the mighty Franklin Rebels get physically beaten all night and in every aspect of the ball-game??? Meanwhile Brentwood will deliver the same physical abuse against Franklin's Defense. I have read all year about this "imposing-D-line" of Franklin (Jervis, Wilson, Howerd, Shelton), I have heard how they are "salivating" about BHS's running game. We will see how much "salivating" this "rag-tag-duct-taped-D-line" will hold up against a O-Line full of robotic-soldiers. The Lines will fall this weekend...Brentwood is going to run THROUGH Franklin's O-Line & D-Line. Welcome to "real-hard-nosed-football" Franklin
  8. Why is everyone wondering why we are discussing the match-up of the Bruins O-Line vs. Rebels D-Line. If you don't grasp the importance of the "front-line" match-up, then you really don't deserve to have it explained to you (and you need to shut your mouth, and get off of the thread). But for the sake of argument, I will clue you in (against my better judgment). While Ravenwood, McGavock, McCallie tried to go around Franklin's Defense, and Hillsboro and Independence attempted to throw over the Rebel defense, Everyone knows (or should know) That Brentwood is going to line-up and run it through the Franklin Rebel Defense. Thats right, your heard me correctly, The Brentwood Bruins are going to attack the very heart of the Franklin Defense. This game is gonna be good ole' front-7-on-front-7-football. I will take Brentwood's consistent running game, over Franklin's sparatic ground game everyday. Franklin has become dependent on the big play, and breaking the game open early. Brentwood's "D" has the ability to make sure that does not happen this Friday. For the first time Franklin will have to play 4-full-quarters, and to be honest I do not think Franklin has it in them. When the whistle blows on Friday night, and the Bruins begin moving the ball/ stopping Franklin's Offense, it will be business as usual for BHS, meanwhile FHS will be stunned and begin to panic. Everybody knows that Brentwood is supposed to lose...To bad Brentwood does not know that yet
  9. The very thought of Franklin beating Brentwood by 14 is a "wishful" thinking at best. BHS's Defense is stellar against the run, and was even able to handle the potent speed of a team like Centennial on the outside. I almost feel like the one loss against Ravenwood has qualifies the bruins as a second-rate team (tell that to Brentwood Academy... and nearly MBA) I would like to remind everyone that Brentwood is one of the best teams in the region and arguably in the mid-state. Brentwood was classified as the region-6(5A) front-runner. So if anyone is counting BHS out of the game before they have even arrived at the stadium...is out of their mind. Brentwood is one of the most-well-balanced teams putting shoulder pads on when Friday night arrives. Coach Crawford will have his soldiers ready to march to war when the lights come on at Howard Gamble Stadium. Brentwood had their world rocked against Ravenwood, but the wake-up call was one of the best things that could have happened to BHS. The bruins bounced back against a superb Seigal team. The Franklin arrogance is nauseating, and Brentwood would be more than happy to "rock-Franklin's-world", and they will be ready to do just that...come Friday! Franklin is about to receive one heckuva wake-up call
  10. Exactly!!! Brentwood's front seven have been astounding! Amongst all the hype of Heckman, Nichols, Ford, Scales... Cole Tischer is still one of the best players in the Mid-State, and he is an imposing cornerstone of that BHS Defense (without a doubt)
  11. I honestly can say that I never thought I would say the following statement; I agree with CHS2007, I never thought I would agree with Centennial propaganda in my entire life. But I do concur with CHS2007's previous statement of, "Regardless of who wins, it will not be an upset". On the other hand, I am hearing a lot of opinions giving the game to Franklin by at least two touchdowns. I find this input to be dis-respectful, and highly-mis-informed. 1) Brentwood was a pre-season favorite 2) Brentwood has one of the best junior/senior classes in the region 3) Brentwood is home to one of the best Line-backing corps in the region 4) Brentwood is typically a very disciplined/ well-coached team Those are the facts So please explain the two touchdown deficit
