  1. Wrestling at Cleveland is elite and they get what they want. I don’t know about the other sports, but wrestling has a state of the art facility and isn’t hurting for anything. There have been a lot of people that built that program over several years. a lot of good coaches. A lot of good kids. A lot of parents. A lot of boosters. A lot of money. What I have seen is putting the same energy into building a football program. If they can do the same thing with football that they have for wrestling, everyone will simmer down and it will be the blueprint for everyone else to try to follow. There are some disgruntled people I’m sure, but there are a lot of happy people as well. If they get the kids, Tygard will win and win big. All of the kids I’ve ever talked to that played for him absolutely love the guy. I predict he will do big things there if they give him a little time.
  2. I believe this game could go either way, but I tend to lean toward Gallatin as I believe they have more overall talent.
  3. What seems different to me about this MJ team is they seem to have a little more fight than the other recent teams.
  4. Uncharacteristic to be sitting at 4-4. Three of the losses have been by a combined 10 points to really good teams. The schedule will definitely be a benefit prepping for a playoff run.
  5. Beech has found a little offense and looks like thing are starting to come together at the right time.
  6. Beech has found a little offense. Will be a tough out in the playoffs.
  7. Lebanon may be better than I thought. Didn’t see the game, but sounded like they came out strong, but just couldn’t put it away. The end of the season in this region is going to be interesting. Definitely been a few head scratchers the last few weeks.
  8. That’s how I see those games going. Gallatin has to beat Lebanon.
  9. You all know I was going to be the last one convinced, but I was shocked. Beat GH and have that letdown against Cookeville. It will be interesting to see how they respond and finish out the year.
  10. I really thought it was a forgone conclusion they were #2 before the Cookeville loss. Now they truly run the risk of being eliminated from the playoffs all together.
  11. This is so accurate. You can’t control everything a kid does. It’s typically, all the blame and none of the credit. As far as Tygard, I know the guy and have nothing negative to say about him. He rubs some people the wrong way by virtue of what I consider a high level of enthusiasm and unwillingness to follow the status quo. Cleveland will be a better program because of him.
  12. I think Green Hill beats Cookeville, but loses to MJ. MJ finishes 1 and GH 2. Both teams have an opportunity to win in the first round of the playoffs and both have a chance to lose. Whoever finishes 3-4 in the region lose in the first round.
  13. Mt Juliet wins out and wins the region. After that, any number of things can happen. I suspect it comes down to week 10, Gallatin vs Lebanon. Gallatin wins and Cookeville is out. Gallatin loses and they’re out.
  14. The truth is after this game both teams and coaches know they were in a dog fight. A well played game by two tough teams. A few ignorant comments by one delusional fan.
  15. Pressed>Worried See you in November.
  16. There are opinions and then there are ignorant statements…
  17. I’m not saying he’s not, I know nothing of the man. I’m simply saying it just feels like there’s more to the story.
  18. That’s correct. There’s only a handful of seniors that are starters. There’s a lot of youth on this team gaining a lot of experience as the season goes and it appears they’re starting to come together and grow up.
  19. I’m not sure about this job, but I’m certain they would apply if several of the other schools were to have an opening… Brentwood Independence Ravenwood Page Nolensville I still believe there is more to this story. That doesn’t mean it will come out, but it just feels that way.
  20. HC QB is a senior and a player. He will have some success at the next level on the defensive side. Beech is young and the future looks bright, but I don’t think they’re quite done this year.
  21. Good game by both teams. No words for the blown coverage on 4th and 18. Still a little in shock over that one. Hard to swallow a loss when they were clearly in control up 14, but both teams took the other ones punches and came back swinging. Hats off to HC on a hard fought win. Henry County is in the drivers seat for the region title and will be heavily favored in both remaining games. Beech should finish out with three wins and second in the region. Beech has found some offense the last couple of games and will be a tough out for anyone from here out. With a 3-4 record there will be some that overlook them, but I don’t think their record really shows who this team is right now.
  22. Let’s keep in mind that just because nothing is being said publicly doesn’t mean there’s not more to this.
  23. We would prefer to have you join us in Shackle Island. How many orange shirts do I need to bring?
