  1. Indy's problems will not be lack of talent. It is how the talent is used. They must go back to fundemental football. indy's defense struggled this year mainly because of preparation. Teams must hit 2-3 times a week on the high school level. If you followed Indy's games, the defense always played better in the second half. Also, it appears that Indy is a offensive minded first team. You must build your team around a good defense. I.E the best players must play defense. Second, with Hillsboro coming next year, making the playoff will be even harded. Indy must get faster, bigger and more aggressive to compete with the now powerhouses of the region. Franklin, Brentwood, Ravenwood are a lock for the playoffs next year with all of their returning starters. Indy, Centennial(losing alot of seniors) and a young Dickson county along with Hillsboro will fight for the last spot . From what I saw this year, I will put my money on Hillsboro for the fourth spot. Good luck Indy, but your current coaching philosophy must change are you will be left behind for years to come. Fundementals, attention to detail and consistency and fairness are they keys to any successful program.
  2. I would like to wish Indy good luck against Ravenwood. I predict a shoot out. I hope final score 35 Indy 28 Ravenwood. Not sure if that's how it will go. Both of these teams control their own destiny. Who will want it the most? Which teams coach will rise to the occassion. What players will will their team to victory? How will be the best Alex of the night? Both quarterbacks are named Alex. Again, good luck Indy. Players must play for themselves not coaches or fans.
  3. Well Goldendome are what ever. Since you aim to call me out. I want question your football IQ because its clear what level you are on. First of all, I am sure you are one of those back seat coaches calling for Vincent Youngs head over Kerry Collins, be patient so this doesnt go over your head. The reason why Kerry is better for that team is because he makes everybody better. Remember, same receivers, different quarterback, different team. I could talk about the Vandy quarterback issue but I think you are smart enough to get my point. Running quarterbacks can hurt certain teams. This Indy team was at its best when heckman Had to get rid of the ball in three or four seconds. I am not suggesting that this kid is not talented but he is selfish. I also agree that coaching is a big part of it but I want go there. My problem with Indy is, they dont appear to be a team. Rector does not have nearly the talent Indy has but he will have his team ready and playing as a unit. There is no excuse for Indy to be 1-3 in this region and they still have not played ravenwood or brentwood. I will not jump on anyone's bandwagon and I will call a spade a spade. After all, there record speaks for its self. Like it or not the truth is what it is.
  4. Last year team was run by the seniors. Thats why they were able to pull it together. I have no problem with Heckman's ability which is part of my frustration. This kid can be good, real good. The problem is, he has to figure out how to make everybody around him better. Just because a receiver drops a pass, he cant lose confidence in them. All of the receivers that Eubanks has put on the field this year has shown that they are capable of making big plays. Taylor Adams also had a great game. I believe Heckman should be on his way to throwing for three thousand yards. His arm and those recievers gives Indy the best chance of winning. With that being said, the defense must figure out a way to start early and stop the run. Indy's playoffs start this thursday. Hopefully they will come together as a team an pull out a win.
  5. I hate to say I told you so. Anyone who really knows about football can clearly see why this team under achieves. There seems to be an agenda. They run plays to kids who are not the playmakers of the team. It should not matter who the play makers are but on this team it does. There have been countless times all season, certain recievers are wide open. The ball is pulled down an ran versis throwing down field are forced to other recievers. If you read the article in the Tenn(Williamson County Section) you no why this Team want make the playoffs. I hate to be the barrier of bad news but the facts are what they are. I am not sure that, for this team to be a real TEAM, Nick would have been the better quarterback. And buy the way, I am not Nicks father just someone who knows football and understand crap when I see it. I hope this doesnt offend anyone because that is not my goal. I just hate to see a talented team go by the wayside because of selfish play.
  6. I hope people noticed last weeks game. When certain players stats are low, which means the ball is spread around, Indy wins. If we see a strong dose of selfish play tomorrow, DC may get there first win ending Indy's playoff chances. I really hope winning is more important than individual stats. We shall see! A prime example, the Cent game. To much of one player not enough of the team. One or two players can not win in 6-5a ball. Please spread it around to your playmakers and good things will happen to this talented TEAM.
  7. I would not count out Indy. If Indy grows up an becomes a team, look out. Defensively, they are starting to come together. Offensively, they look like a bunch of individuals trying to bolster stats. Not sure what happen to one of there leading receivers, Boatman. He has been totally removed from the game plan on offense along with some others. Eubanks must bring this team together performing up to there capabilities. If not, DC might get there first win. Sqeeking buy NE was one thing but facing the tougher opponents like Ravenwood and Brentwood want be as easy. Those are a must if Indy is to make the playoffs. Come together as team. Stop worrying about individual stats and play to win. No I in TEAM.
  8. Good luck Eageles. Let take care of business. Final score 35 Indy 14 NE.
  9. This race is going to be very interesting to say the least. That lost against centenial may come back to bite Indy. Bottom line, take care of the teams that you should beat. Indy will have to beat either Brentwood or Ravenwood or maybe both to make the playoffs. Indy must fix its run defense. Offensively they can compete with anyone as long as they move the ball around to all of there weapons. They did need an encore of last years run.
  10. I wasn't try to go against anything. I happen to think that Heckman is the best quaterback in the region. I would just like him to use all of his weapons. I realize that when the season starts, things change. It appeared that the team ran smoother when he was throwing first and running second. I heard they got a win friday. Congrads to the coaches and players. Hope they can win out.
  11. Can anyone tell me what happen to the Indy team that played so great during the summer? I have watched this team for the last three years. This team has talent all over the place. It appears that they have gone away from what was working. When the quarterback was spreading the ball around, they looked like a playoff team. Now they look like a team with no direction or identity. Memo to the quarterback, three seconds and let it go. Use all of your weapons on the field. No one or two players can do it by themselves. Your b
