I will just say that the town of Bruceton is so excited about the new Coaches. I decided to walk around Friday night during the cookoff for Bruceton in May. I learned that most of the talks going on was about football. The people are so excited. I have a feeling that the stands will be full. I know we are not expecting a miracle season, but the support will be there. I seen a couple of the new coaches there chatting along with their wives chatting together also. That was a great thing to see. They seem to have the support of their families and friends. Today also that was alot of the talk. The kids playing seem to be excited about it also. This coaching change is the best thing to happen to this program. The other coaches just did not really know what Bruceton football is or how to Coach it. We now have Coaching and I believe we will have Talent!!!! Again. Way to go Coach Williams, Coach Thomas, Coach Wall, Coach Bull and Coach Walters. What a coaching team they will be. They will start out learing in Middle School and continue on in High School. GO BLUE!!!!!

Thats good to hear. Has anyone heard how many boys will be coming out for Spring Practice. GO TIGERS!!!!!

WAY TO GO TIGERS!!!! This is the best news that Bruceton has heard in ages. Coach Jamie Williams as Head Football Coach!! Maybe now we can get some of the old fans back in the stands. This is what Bruceton football has needed. Also, with the other coaches this team will be turned around in discipline and in talent. Maybe they will bring back some of the Sturdivant/McGee coaching that they know. GO BIG BLUE!!!! Lets get behind these coaches and kids. Bruceton football will be back!!

I was just wondering if anyone had heard anything about any changes going to be made to the Coaching staff at Bruceton. Lets pray for something to be done.

I know that Bruceton had a young team this year and will still have young guys next year. The problem is that they will be lucky to get anyone to come back and play for these coaches. These kids don't respect them and also the parents don't want their kids playing for these coaches. I just hope that the kids will come back and play and try and hold their heads up high and play some football. But it is time for a change lets just hope these coaches are not to arrogant to step aside and give someone else the oppurtunity to bring back a winning team.

I don't know of any changes coming but have heard a few things. I guess we will just have to wait and see and pray for a change. Hopefully Bruceton football can get back to what we know it is and can be. For us that grew up here it just about kills us to see this. I know Bruceton will be back just hopefully the changes will be made to bring it back.

Lets everyone continue to Pray for Ryan & Leslie Bullington and their children. They have a long road of healing ahead of them and need all the Prayers they can get. I know they are trying to get their life back on track I seen them a the basketball game the other night supporting their daughter. They just need alot of prayers. Ryan is a great guy and a great asset to this football program at Bruceton. Lets just keep showing this family that they have the love and support of this community and we will all help them through this.

I agree there is absolutely no respect given by the coaches so therefore the kids will no respect of want to play. I hope that Bruceton can go to West Carroll and get their first and only win tonight. These kids need it. GO TIGERS!!! Maybe a change will come after this season is done, if not there may not be a team next year.

What Tiger mom means is there is a new coach on the sidelines. Its Jamie Williams, he played under Sturdivant and McGee and can bring alot of greatness to the team given the chance. There are also three coaches in the press box that can bring great things. One of the also played on the championchip team and he also played college football at Martin. I think Brucetons season is over. I hope next year is better and some changes have been made.

I agree with monsterman. I don't think that Bruceton can beat them. Unless there are some coaching changes, Bruceton will not beat anyone. If the offense coach knew anything about what he was doing things may be better but then they don't have anyone to call defensive plays either. I hope the administration staff steps up and realizes that there is problem and it is time for a change. They just need to bring in some new coaches. I will say it again, there are two coaches that played on the championchip team that can bring back the Sturdivant/McGee coaching methods. Lets give them a try Bruceton. What can it hurt. These two guys along with the other young coaches there will be great for this football program. ITS TIME FOR A CHANGE BRUCETON!!!!

I see that the coaches keep closing the topics. I guess they can't handle the truth. Also, I agree with tigermom08 about the coaches wives spreading the rumors about who they believe started this about the coaches. If everyone would go back and read the messages you will see that a former player from last year started all the talk, but obviously there a few people that agree with him. Also, I agree with tigermom08 when she says that these coaches need to control their wives because it is making things look worse for them. I was in Country Corner the other night eating and someone approaced me and we started talking about this coacht stuff. Then they brought up that the coaches wives are saying this one person started it. I don't know her but I do know her husband and he is not that kind of person. These wives that are accusing this have had far worse said about them and are constantly being talked about, but they seem to want everyone to think they have these great lives. Anyone who knows either of these families should know thats not the case. They need to stop trying to take the focus off their husbands and face the facts that there is a problem and it needs to be handled.

I agree. I think Union City will roll all over the Tigers with the coaching staff they have. I don't think Bruceton has a chance. I hate to say that about my the school I graduated from but its the truth.

BRING ON THE PETITION. I WILL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO SIGN. And as for the mud thing, I don't know anything about it, but if I was his parent which ever coach did that would have their kicked right there. You are right these coaches have no respect for their players of their fans, on or off the field. Gilmer has run off some true fans since he has been here. Two examples are, the guy that recorded the games for Bruceton for so many years, he is gone now. Also, on of the most loyal fans, his children are all grown and out of school and just had a granddaughter in school but never missed a game no matter what, but because of Gilmers wife hearing something he said in the stands badmouthing her Husband (the coach), he no longer will come to any games. Bruceton cannot even fill up the visitors side of the stands and that is pathetic and not Bruceton football. I was not able to make it to the Jr. High game last night but from what everyone has told me, we need those coaches to get out and help with these high school kids. They have such disapline on that team and great coaching. They may not win every game but they respect their coaches and try their hardest. That is not something that you get out of the high school. Its hard for kids to give respect when they get no respect and get cussed at all the time. Like I have said before, my son WILL NOT play high school football at this school if this same coaching staff is around. So once again, BRUCETON FANS, BRING ON THE PETITION. Well first of all, why put all the blame on the quarterback. You have obviously not been around Bruceton. Everyone blames the arrogant coaches. There are a handfull that don't and they don't amount to anything or do they know anything about football. Everyone seems to want, Coach Jamie Williams, Coach Bull, Coach Thomas, Coach Walters and Coach Wall to take a shot at the high school. They could do so much better than what is out there now. These coaches are in no shape or age to be coaching. What Bruceton needs is COACH GILMER AND COACH NORVAL GONE and things would be so much better. They have tried and not succeeded. It's time to try and find someone else or start utilizing the other coaches at the school. It's just a shame to watch Bruceton football go down like they are and all the talk in town be about how bad Bruceton football is now.

I happen to agree with everyone about the coaches. Mainly the 2 that call themselves the Head Coach and Assistant. What a joke they are. Neither of them know what they are doing. Not only are they arrogant on the field they are the same way off. Bruceton football and school would be better off without either of them. Bruceton has some young coaches that are coaching Jr High and High School that have played on the winning teams and could be a great asset to this team if they were only given the chance. I also think that the kids would be more willing to play for the younger guys and the parents would be happy to let them play. I know I have a son that will be in Jr High next year. I am more than happy to let him play for the Jr High coaches but if you have the two still coaching high school when he gets up there he will not be playing or I will take him to either Huntingdon or Camden to play. All the talk in town now is about this football program. Bruceton at one time was known for their football and now they are laughed at for their football. This has happened since they brought the new headcoach in. The two of them think they are so respected in this town, but all they are are the talk of the town. Maybe after we have this horrible year something will be done. I know the players are young but I have watched games, the coaches want yell at them for not doing something right but don't want to teach them the proper way, the offensive coach is the worse. He has no business being on a football field. I have watched Jr High games also, that team is very well taught and very well coached. I just hope that we can have some coaches changes in the future and let some of these young coaches bring this football team back to where it should be.
