  1. Not sure on Trousdale score. Just know we made it look easier than I thought we would've. Jennings didn't play much. Played Soddy Daisy a few days ago. We beat them 49-6. Looking good so far.
  2. I'm hearing a lot of hype after our spring game against Trousdale. Not sure what they have this year but we handled them very well. Very well... Also saw this article: http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/high-school/2016/05/10/top-10-nashville-area-returning-high-school-quarterbacks-2016/84140472/
  3. DeKalb County just opened up. http://www.wjle.com/news/2016/cope-out-coach-dchs
  4. http://www.coacht.com/tennessee/inside/schedule.cfm?schoolid=110&sportid=5 Some decent teams have been on the schedule. We have made it state the last few years and fallen, true. It wasn't solely pitching. You have to score to win, which we couldn't do. It just happens when you get to the big leagues. At least we have made it a habit to make it that far. In my opinion that's a successful program with nothing to be ashamed of. This last tournament we were in over the weekend we defeated Beech 6-2, lost to Clarksville 1-2 (check out Clarksville's record and opponents they've played to see the quality of competition), defeated Holy Cross (KY) 3-1, and lost to Riverdale 2-3. I'd say we are capable of hanging. When it comes tourney time we very well may run out of steam, but like I said just sounds like sour grapes in your post to be honest.
  5. 48 yard touchdown pass Jennings to Jones. DC leads 7-0.
  6. So far DC has forced a turnover and Jennings has most of the yards on the ground. Slick field conditions.
  7. Already had a return man for CC slip and fall without being touched and already had Jennings slip trying to plant a foot and throw.
  8. DC beat Cannon 69-3. 55-0 at the half and completely called the dogs off at the half. Cannon has been bad in the past but this was my first time to witness them this year. I feel sorry for them. My goodness.
  9. Just some news articles to pass along. I found them interesting. Sequatchie's Coach after the game: "We've got to find a way to get some stops defensively," Caine said. "It's hard to win a football game when you don't feel real confident. I thought Dekalb County's quarterback was outstanding. They were a lot bigger and stronger upfront than we thought. On a positive note, the kids came in at the half and kind of got after each other a little bit. Kind of circled the wagons a little bit. This is the first time we've been really, truly hit in the mouth and been outplayed. I thought in the second half, we displayed some composure. It'll teach us a lot about ourselves." http://rivercsports.com/jennings-tigers-hand-indians-first-loss/ Had a Trapp interview video but it isn't working for some reason.
  10. Should've seen us a few years ago when we had some taller and faster receivers. Man we slung the ball all over the place. It seems like teams that haven't played us before always get tons of points scored on them. Then we play our district teams and have a harder time scoring.
  11. Can't get a reading on DC. We beat Cumberland who at the time felt like a gimme, but turns out they're now 4-2 with the other loss coming to a 6-1 team. Beat Smith the following week which was a solid win and looked like we were on a good track at that point. Then Macon happens and I have no clue what happened with that game. Then this Sequatchie game. Looking at their wins and by the margin of victory and seeing them in the top 10 poll I thought we had no chance. I have to say as a DC fan I'm impressed and I didn't have the faith last night but they got it done.
  12. While classless for him to come back and bash there is a point. LA has the worst field I've ever been to. It's pure brown slop every time I have ever seen it. I even remember the playoffs a few years ago they were bragging that it was home field advantage.
  13. Jennings won that game. It's a team effort but man if it wasn't for Jennings I'm not sure how that one turns out. He was offensive MVP obviously, but on defense after the fumble on SC's last drive the SC player had nothing but green and Jennings chased him down and tackled him to prevent the tie. Then he comes up with an int on that same drive.
  14. Not sure what got into us but we are pressuring them in the backfield on every play now.
  15. As far as football goes they used to be somewhat competitive for a few years.
  16. DC and Smith are somewhat rivals. DC biggest rival has always been Cannon in as far as fan bases go. Especially basketball where cannon is competitive. Football DC and Livingston Academy have really went at it the last few years. They were the top two in district for a while. In 2012 DC and LA met in the last game of the season both being 9-0 and then met again in second round of playoffs.
