yea im back.....anybody miss me? im sure my associate "ankles" will return when the season starts......well for one congrats on play offs but why is everyone hysterical? didnt Cannon go 6-5 just like the '07 team? and the '08 team woulda went atleast 8-2 in regular season with even a halfway decent coach.....and P-spy ive never had a problem with you but it seems like in a previous post you called #30 from the '08 team a sellout more or less....please clear this up for me because if i didnt misunderstand what you were sayin you have a lot to learn....Barger was like a father to that boy and when Barger left Harris (as most the seniors) just wanted to prove what he left behind and sadly #6 (Young) got hurt in preseason which limited his abilities and is really the only reason #30 stood out.... and actually if Young stayed healthy Harris woulda had an even bigger yr and nobody woulda stopped that O even with Bartsch callin the plays because Young and Harris woulda been like a McFadden/Jones or Ingram/Richardson dangerous duo as in you cant stop them both and by stoppin one the other kills you and if ou try to even out the D they both kill you.....But im looking fwd to seeing what Cannon get get done this year comin off the best season in 2 yrs ha ha ha ha seriosly tho good job on play offs and build off of it for next season and ill try to make a game or 2

I know evryone seems to real really want Matt Daniel as coach, but my biggest concern with him is that I think he would be a friend more than a coach. Once again let me say I think if he is interested he should be considered and if he has learned how to demand the players respect, then he would need to be seriously considered. I agree with something "cchssupporter" said about Riverdale, tradition is tradition, the reason they struggled last year is because they graduated 6 D-1 signees and numerous other D-2 signees and I mean before Adellyot was at Riverdale he built a consistent powerhouse at Hillsboro, so the guy knows how to win and he surrounds himself with winners and people who expect to win. So in my opinion if we could pluck someone off his staff or another power team's staff to bring that kind of mantality to our school it would be tremendous. I believe that the players would give Daniel the respect a head coach needs and deserves. I know that last year when the players believed that he would be the new coach they began to treat him as a head coach. Of course they would still view him as a friend, but would also listen to him and do what needs to be done.

The locker room was about as clean as it could be having it over crowded with players in a small area and also using it as part of the weight room. How can you say Barger was not a disciplined coach? He was strict about everything, we had to perfect the plays, the lockerroom had to be spotless, the bathrooms had to be spotless.....have you seen the toilets since Bartsch was there? That is where discipline starts.

And also the previous QB coach was a marine and he was not returning next year because of, I believe, the previous head coach. /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="

There is nothing wrong with discipline and there IS discipline at CC because most of the players were here during Barger's time and he demanded it, but as ankles said it is how the players were treated. And this is not the marines...it is high school football and the players should not be talked to as if they do not matter in life and will never make anything of themselves. You can not have discipline on a team without respect and players can not respect a coach if he continuously tells them they will never be good enough no matter what they do. I personally heard him tell a player this to their face. There is a difference between trying to enforce discipline and belittlement.

I believe that if Matt Daniel wants the job then he should try to get it. If the administration would not hire him I believe they are truly retarded, just as I did when he did not get hired the last time. He is the perfect person for the job and I know the kids would love to have him back, I know I would if I was coming back next year. The kids here love and respect him, as do the parents as far as I know. In my opinion you can not truly be a good high school coach without being close to the players and he has this part covered already. He has a lot of knowledge and a great philosophy and the only reason he was not hired last time is because he was from CC which should be all the more reason to hire him because he cares more about this program than anybody. So Coach Daniel if you are looking at this please try to get this job.

But as for next season......Cannon does have some promising talent but also will have a small line. With the blocking system used by OwnTheEdge...oops.....I mean Bartsch.....it would not matter if their line was D1 status or pee wee size, people are coming through. There will be decent speed in the backfield and #34 will be the work horse with his power and speed combination. If the coach is smart he will move him to fullback and have #4 and #24 or #8 at halfback with #12 throwing to #7 I believe his number is.

I believe that this is Bartsch......who else uses a communist word like "micro managing"?ha ha I know that he also has a labtop he always has and could possibly have WiFi but am not sure. And the ex-D coach didn't put me up to this as I am sure he hasn't put anybody up to it because he is not that type of man. You shouldn't go around telling the kids he quit and walked out on them. Stop trying to say that this isn't you and face the facts, you got rid of him because you were afraid he may take your job.......and he still may.

You know you got lucky in that game. After CC missed the pat everything went down hill. They make the pat, a different story. But the facts are you won.....but CC and region 4 still has more and better athletes

I just hate that every team from the valley thinks that they are world beaters.

I'm not from boyd, I'm from a 4-2a school and am pulling for Westmoreland. I hate region 3-2a and was only stating that boyd is really the only good team from there.
