  1. Yeah, I watched the game. As a neutral fan I don't want to make excuses on behalf of Ensworth, but the first time I saw them play they had 2 attackmen that scored most of their goals, and a middie who contributed as well. They were numbers 2, 3, and 22, and none of those players were at the USN game. Not that it would make up for 12 goals, but just something i wanted to point out. The squad USN saw was not the squad that knox-webb will see in the semifinals on saturday.
  2. Updates on those games- Ensworth beat Baylor. JPII beat Centennial as far as I know. I read it somewhere so don't quote me on that but I am almost positive. EDIT: Sorry, I heard wrong! CHS beat JPII 15-11. I'll get better information before i post next time.
  3. Your post is completely irrelevant. This is about the BA-EHS game. Back on topic. After watching both of these teams play, it goes without saying this will be no blowout either way. Both teams are solid. Both teams are well coached and have some incredible athletes. To me, it what it boils down to is what happens in the trenches. Both have good lines, and Ensworth's may be a little underrated even. They are well coached by Ed Caudill, and he should have solutions for any problems the EHS line may encounter throughout the game. Brentwood Academy on the other hand, is simply put "big and good". They have the obvious advantage in my opinion, but I also thought that MBA would have that advantage at the line of scrimmage when they faced EHS. Ensworth manhandled MBA, and they should do the same in this game. Center Teddy Reeve got the best of Bubis for MBA, who is supposedly an ox, and one of the better noseguards in the area. He and his fellow lineman will have no problem handling the BA line in the end. and as K Woodroof pointed out, this will definitely be worth the price of admission.
  4. Actually there is something called cleats now. So, the rain hurts the team that utilizes the passing game more. (BA) Advantage to Ensworth in a close one.
  5. What credibility could they want? They knocked off the defending state champions, snapped a 19 game streak, and if MBA truly believes they are a half decent football team then they shouldn't be assuming that Ensworth is digging for credibility. Ensworth is happy with that big win, and i don't think anyone is stopping and saying that they (EHS) beat another cupcake of a team.
  6. While I understand what you are saying, and respect that as well, I believe it is school spirit and support talking through these kids. Marsalis is an excellent player, but every school would like to think that their player is the best. Both Tavarres and Marsalis are great players, and will do great things, so kudos to both of them.
  7. While BA is no Franklin Road Academy, they still aren't the team they used to be. They have struggled this year, and, while they are well coached, I don't see much else going for them as they host MBA. MBA is the better team, and like I said, it may not be an easy win, but MBA should have no trouble getting the W this friday. 21-7 MBA.
  8. Based on what I have seen of the tigers this year, they will make Pope John Paul look like a middle school team. With that being said, it is very easy for a team coming off a big win to forget that they still have to buckle down and play football. If they have the mindset that they are the best, and that they will roll over JPII, then they may have more trouble than they think. But they are coached well enough that this shouldn't be an issue.
