  1. ha, Robinson's girlfriend could probably knock you out cold.
  2. no way that was a SC player. i think SC KNOWS what Camden has, plus there is no reason for it.
  3. I agree, and am looking forward to see the new rivalries that will sprout up
  4. listen, yes..you did state some facts, but you know what, you ARE bashing those kids. but Nobody cares about it anymore, it's in the past, and we want to start talking about the lions play-offs. 1972 dolphins eh? Obviously you have not done your research. If you were trying to compare SC to a great team, you should have compared them to The 2007 Colts or the 2008 Patriots or even the 1999 Broncos.
  5. hahahaha, reading this is more fun than watching saturday night live. /roflol.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":roflol:" border="0" alt="roflol.gif" /> just joking, every program has that one idiot of a fan.lol Good luck to both teams, but it has been pre-destined that the Lions win....just...to.....dominate.....and i have not seen anything special from wavo
  6. I agree completely. I have been following Lewis County over the years, and they have proven over and over that they are a successful program.
  7. seriously man, there is something wrong with you. You proclaim that you do not mean these remarks as harmful or bashful, but in the history of your posts you have constantly had a negative attitude towards Stewart County. You really need to lay off the kids and the coaches. If you think you can do a better job at coaching then i suggest you compete with coach holliday for the job, but i gauruntee that you cannot. If you think you can teach the SC how to play with better "class", then i suggest you ask coach holliday if you can talk to the boys, because the Rebels are always willing to learn something if it will improve them. And if you insist on replying, please give us your e-mail address or something, because just like the houston county forum, you are beginning to make this one unpleasant.
  8. Stewart county vs. Camden was one of the greatest high school games i have ever seen. Both and i mean both teams played their hearts out. Not only was it a hard hitting game, but also it was game played with class. That game can finally clense the title of SC being classless and dirty. one prime example is when one of the Camden players went down with a cramp, one of the SC players helped him stretch it out.---Their is no better definition for good sportsmanship. Even though the score was a bit lopsided, i believe everyone at the game knows it was a heck of a lot closer than the score portrayed. SC gained my respect for the intensity in which they played during the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters. i think everyone also knows that Camden is not 31 pts better than SC. Camden was able to maximize on turn overs. Some play calling was a bit risky too. yet again, Great job to both SC and Camden, it was a hard-hitting good sportsmanship game. i wondered where Camden players got their class from until i got the chance to meet a few parents. Great bunch of people, Good luck in the play-offs. Go Region 7-2A
  9. Fri Oct 24 AM Showers 59?°F high 40?°F low 60% chance of rain Looks like it is going to be another sloppy game like last year.
  10. haha, i like it. Ive always respected Coach Ward. But i dont think a cheapshot is required to see some big hits friday, because i know Holliday and Ward are using every resource they have to fire up their players. haha, where ever you got that quote from i am going to start using it.lol
  11. of course Camden plays as a TEAM, so does every successful program. "...no one player more important than the other, we win or lose as a TEAM"---i could not have said it better myself, SC, Waverly, Adamsville, Huntingdon, Richland, Riverside all abide by the same philosophy. i have not heard anyone call certain players on SC "SUPER STARS" all they were saying is that these guys are impact players, every team has them, and i mean EVERY team. to answer your question rcombs, SC is(in my opion) one of the strongest teams in the region through the air. But, to have a successful passing game, you have to establish a solid run game. And that is where SC has been struggling. if earhart had a line that could protect him consitently, then SC would be an extremely tough opponent, but Camden's line is full of corn bread fed boys, and i fear earhart will under pressure all night. Impact players(a.k.a "SUPER STARS"-LOL)The positions i believe SC are strong in are the Wide outs, QB, HB, SS, DT,MLB, and the kicker and field goal kicker. Closely followed by the FB, OLB,
  12. i do not mean to be offensive at all, but your "cuz" is a joke and pathetic. NEVER, and i mean NEVER have i ever heard a Stewart County coach or administrator tell a player to take a cheap shot on a player to take him out of the game. maybe if you were talking about pre-holliday, but not now. a Coach might hate playing against certain players, but every coach wants players to play college ball and be successful. Even if Camden runs SC in the ground, i dont want to see any injuries, because i want our region represented well--and i believe EVERY coach in our region believes the same thing.
  13. Can someone explain this a little better for me?? i thought Stewart County already clenched 2. Plus, your right, if it does rain then Camden will definitily have the advantage like they did last year. but Camden also struggled with turn overs, having (correct me if i am wrong) like 2 fumbles and an INT.--?? Camden is still a power team, but i believe most of it left last year with......MOOSE!!!!!!!--he was good, d@mn good. and what about Leon?? is he still there? fastest black kid i have ever seen, he made the fast kids look slow.lol
  14. i am pretty nuetral who has class and who doesnt, because i go to games because i love watching kids play there hearts out. I can see how you think Holliday coaches without class, but from what i know of him, he is definitely one of the best coaches. Did you here the interview of HC coach on the radio(105.1FM)?? If i was HC school administrators i would have fired him right then and there. He was disrespectful not only to Coach Holliday, but also to the Stewart County community....Let me remind you that this was on public radio. Why HC continues to have him as head coach, i have no idea. 1-his play calling is elementary, but i guess that is reasonable since he has a childish attitude. 2--As mentioned before, he is very disrespectful, he needs to GROW UP!!!! One more thing about class, during the game, when one of the SC wide receivers got knocked out of bounds, he was threatening and cussing at them----i know this for a fact. GotGame, if this was not a rivalry i would agree with you 100%, but it is a rivalry and one of the oldest in the nation! the brick throwing, flag planting, mascot stomping, foul language, fights, all add to the rivalry and make it that much more enjoyable. i believe every team has a rival that they wish they could absolutely obliturate. WAS Coach Holliday classless, maybe. IS he classless, no.
  15. I understand where your going at, and i see your point, but i have to disagree with you. Just because Lewis Co. beat Waverly and Waverly beat SC, does not mean that Lewis Co. would blow out SC. The only way to see if a team is better than another team is to have them square off in a game. And there were a lot of factors that played in Waverly's win; The Rebels were not efficent in the redzone, they had a bunch of turn overs, and they thought the game was going to be a walk in the park. Am i saying SC is a better team than Waverly?--Because Waverly wooped them fair and square, no, SC is not better than Waverly, but would Lewis County also put a woopin on SC??--The only way to tell is if they play against each other. GO Region 7!!!
  16. i agree with ecorob. i was at the game last year, and i can not recall the rebels running through the homecoming parade. its not just me either, i called up some players, fans, and even a coach, and none of them recall the rebels running through the procession, or disrespecting the lions field in any way. Camden and the Rebels have never been rivals, just hard hitting teams wanting a win. i see no reason why the rebels would have done it anyway. why would the rebels give Camden a reason to get pumped up, when they had the advantage as going in as the underdogs? And most importantly, Coach Holliday would NEVER have permitted it. he has more class than that, and would have punished any players involved. if it did happen, i assure you that it was not intentional and am sorry if it offended anybody. But either way, i believe Camden got the last laugh
  17. Friday night's game will definitily be a good one to watch, and well worth the 5 dollar entrance fee. Like last year, Camden wants to make without a doubt that they are the region champs, while the Rebels have the chance to become what was deemed impossible 3 years ago----Region Champs. Both teams have their advantages and disadvantages, Camdens disadvantage is that they are playing on the road at the Rebels house, but fortunetly for the Camden Lions is that they have a large--and i mean large--fan base that usually travels with them to away games, and SC being only an hour and a half away for the Championship, i do not believe there will be an exception. But the Rebels have a growing fan base of their own. Every game this year was, or almost a sell out crowd. (so for travelling camden fans, i advice to be at the game an hour and a half to two hours before or you will have a long walk). Another advantage the Rebels have is the memory of their embarrasing defeat last year, 49-0. The rebels coaching staff will no doubt use this as a way to fire up the Rebels. To say that the Rebels wide receivers are overrated is just plain dumb. I think that any team that has faced off against them will admit that they are the best....maybe big headed....but not over rated. For Stewart County a win or loss will be decided on the special teams and the offensive/defensive line as proved in previous meetings. Good luck to both the Stewart County Rebels and the Camden Lions. Go Rebels, grab that Region championship title
  18. How did Stewart County disrespect Camden last year?
  19. Against waverly i agree that the defense performed better, but they struggle when they are up against a power running offense. Last year the Huntingdon offense was able to put up 41 points. The defense was not completly ineffective, because they did hold the Stangs to a lot of 3rd and 3 and 4th and 1, but the Stangs were able to convert them into first downs. SC's offense on the other hand was able to put up 21 on the board with only 2 seniors. I still say high scoring SC-31 H'Town-28
