  1. I do not know alot about this rivalry ( or even if it is one) but who are some key players to watch for friday night for the coalfield team, and will it be as good a game as the Cosby game? WOW what a game. That was one of those games you hated to see end. Unfortanatly someonr had to loose. That was as exciting game as I have seen in a while. I had heard that Cosby was a tough place to play at because the fans were pretty "ROWDY" but every one I spoke with was pretty hospitable and seemed like down to earth folk. How is the kid that was injured ( I think in a car wreck)? Hope he makes a full and speedy recovery. I think this side of the region will fare well in the playoffs. The way I see the brackets there could be some rematches. This would make for some good football.
  2. I do not want to sound like I am taking sides in this matter, but, it has been my experience that if you are a "cusser" then it just becomes habit and for most people hard to control. When you are sitting at a public restaurant and over hear peoplr talking that way, they aren't always trying to be rude or disrespectful they are just use to that kinda language. So to put an end to this discussion ( on my part) if mckamey(?) is as bad as it seems then he will slip up and I can't imagine the pastors would have no choice but to take action. Again I will say I never heard anything other than coaching from their sideline. ............... Now let's talk about football... /cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="B)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />
  3. I thought someone told me the other night that Cosby hed the region mathmatically locked down? What is "MEC" champions? I am sorry I came into this area late in the year, haven't picked up on everything yet?
  4. Hey guys, I was there fri. night and watched some pretty good football. It seemed to me that both teams were well coached but the edge (in my opinion) goes to Grace. Only because they seened to have better athletes. It was a wet sloppy night and if I recall the box score right, both teams were in the double digits in the penalty column. I wondered up and down the fence and I never heard the coaches cussing. With that being said the guy I suspect to be the head coach was really INTENSE, there is no doubt this guy wants to win. If that is a bad thing then...well I don't know what to say. I will say that I am not a fan of "win at all cost" kinda thing but' how do we expect a coach not to want to win? I will definetly be at Cosby High friday night, hopefully for a great game. By the way can someone give some good directions to the school? I hate mapquest, I always get confused.
  5. do not have one but I moved to K-town earlier this year and wish I would have known about coach T earlier. Reading some old posts sounds like I missed some exciting football.
  6. Is that mathmatically correct or are you just saying that hopeing the cards fall your way? I am new to the area and haven't learned to judge personalities. I love high school ball and sounds like I stumbled into some interesting stuff in this 1aa region. Hope to meet some of you all in the playoffs, I like to travel to see different fields/ stadiums. I think i will go see Grace tomorrow night should be a good game if the rain don't mess things up.
  7. so what are the teams on the other side of the bracket looking like? Oneida then greenback then harriman then ??? Is this a good assumption?
  8. ifgca wins out are they the region champs?
  9. does grace have a chance to win the region?
