  1. And what were previous incidents with this player? I don't feel like reading through 27 pages of B.S.
  2. I am not one of "you guys", I am a Tellico alum. I just call it like I see it.
  3. I thought taking a safety was a very stupid thing, but who knows? Just goes to show that you have to play the full 48.
  4. Tellico will be in A, then we will move to AA in the playoffs(which will be very rare, if history is an indication). It will be good for basketball though.
  5. I am the same way. But you guys have an excellent football program. And, you need to support those guys through and through. Which classifacation are you moving to next year? I know Alcoa is in AA, and they are moving to AAA in the playoffs. Honestly, I don't like that many classifacations, but that is just me.
  6. Well, maybe that was a little too steep, but you really don't know what you are talking about. Alcoa will roll through the playoffs. Their smallest victory of margin will not be fewer than 28 points. But, if I came accross that I was calling you dumb, then I am sorry.
  7. Again, I am an outsider, and I have no dog in the fight. The thing is, many of the outstanding AA teams could win it in AAA. But the only way that you can match Aloca's speed is speed. Nobody from AA has that. And on top of that, Alcoa is very deep, very physical, and have one of the best coaches in the history of Tennessee High School football. If Boyd wants to use this as bulliten board material, have at it. Boyd is as good as some of those David Lipscomb and Goodpasture teams of the late 90s, and early 00s. But again, Aloca is is a well-oiled machine, that cannot be stopped(except for Maryville).
  8. Actually Vandy, I could have used much more colorful language. "Jackass" is very, very, mild.
  9. Some folks in here are jackasses, but then again some topics are removed, that should not be. I take it that a lot of high school kids post on here, so I understand where some immaturity comes from. (not that there is anything wrong with that).
  10. Oneida is very good, and they are very physical. But gosh, Trousdale and SP are in a league of their own.
  11. Yeah, I have a lot of pride about my school. We don't win State championships, but it is a treat to beat Sequoyah and Sweetwater in various sports, and from time to time. Well, we did have a State Championship in the low hurdles last year - Josh Ball.
  12. No, Boyd is the Buchaneers, I am from Tellico. I usually watch Alcoa a couple times a year, and they are a treat to watch. I was hoping that Alcoa would beat Maryville this year, just so i could see a big streak end. Maryville is fun to watch, but it is good to see upsets every now and then. But the talent in Blount County is unreal. Good grief, winning a State championship every year you are in school? And how about not losing a game?
  13. In their classifications anyway. I am not one of these people who claim that those teams have an unfair advantage or anything like that. But golly, imagine if you are a Boyd Buchanan. They have a very talented team. Their team is talented enough to win a State Championship. I am sure their fans are pumped, and have a lot of confidence that they will be in the Buro. Ain't going to happen. When they face Alcoa in the semis, Alcoa will beat them like a drum. Alcoa's speed is unmatched. That is the difference.
  14. Thanks. Also, I am assuming that if you play a region team in the playoffs, the higher seeded team gets the home field?
  15. I was not at the game, but heard that the Catholic football team and cheerleaders formed a chain between themselves during the bagpipe cerimony. The home crowd also dressed in Scott County's school's colors. There was probably not a dry eye in the crowd. Those are the kind of things that you never forget. Scott and Catholic are in the same region, and will probably share a respect for each other for years to come.
  16. Very impressive. I have been to two games this year, and they really get into the game. I guess the outstanding band does not hurt matters either.
  17. Very, very, sad. I have taught Summer School in this county, and am a Substitute teacher now. I can't imagine how it would feel for this to happen to one of my kids. I never experienced this in High School, and hopefully I never will now. Just keep the family, friends, and faculty in your prayeres. Most of these kids have never experienced anything like this, so don't forget those guys. This is as sad of a story as you will hear, and words cannot discribe it.
  18. Kingston and Catholic are both good teams. The coach at Catholic has some major steel aggies. It was everything that it was expected to be.
  19. You have to wonder where they were at in the mid to late 90s. They were mediocre for several years, that was before Scott Meadows came on the scene. Their are a lot of good AA schools in the area, and accross the state. But Alcoa's speed is in another league. Is there anyway that they lose the Clinic Bowl this season? I don't see it.
