  1. Are you kidding me? Goodpasture runs the wing-t. It is not a complex system, just really hard to defend if the offesne has the right personel. The spread offense CPA run is more complex than you put out. They make checks atthe line once they see what they are getting from the defense. Not many 2A teams are doing that. Also I notice they teach their recievers and QBs to read coverages so they have multiple routes they can run. Coach Matthews doesn maximize their talent, unlike Hickman who can only run the ball.
  2. Me being from Houston Co. has nothing to do with my knowledge on the game. I have probably forgotten more about football than you will ever know. I have been around the game for 35 years. Just recently moved from out of state and getting the grasp of the area teams. Waverly will not beat Lewis Co. I would bet my wife's new car on that.
  3. It doesn't matter what Waverly is about to do. Lewis will always sit in their 4-4 on defense, except on 3rd and longs. Nothing is going to surprise Coach Sharp. Apparently you guys could not stop Camden's wing-t scheme and like I said Lewis Co. is even better at it with bigger kids. Does not look like a good night for Waverly. Keep those blue covered glasses on but Coach Graves and company have nothing that will be able to stop Lewis Co.
  4. One player will haunt Stewart Co. on Friday night. His name is Benji Cunningham. He is nasty on offense with his blazing speed but even nastier on defense cause he will lay you out. SC recievers will not want to go across the middle on this man. They have not seen anyone like him all season, not even close.
  5. From what I hear Lewis has a huge line that doesn't wear down. Well the Tigers will be in for a long night. They don't have enough horses in the stables to keep Lewis Co. off the field. They let Camden put 42 on them and Lewis runs the wing-t better than Camden. Look for Coach Sharp to come out and make a point Friday night. Lewis by 4 TDS.
  6. I love seeing teams from the same team hold each other accountable on posts. Seems to me everyone thinks this will be the closest 2A game of the night in this area. I have been to Camden a couple of times but never in the playoffs so I bet the atmosphere will be amazing. I still think k Camden wins this by 2 plus TDs. Fairview will get worn down by Camden who physically dominates their opponents.
  7. Seems to me Hickman fans need to stop whining and begin getting ready for basketball season. This is the last year you will taste the playoffs for some time. You had a 2 year run with 4A numbers and you made one quarterfinals trip and will have an early 1st round exit. If your coaches would implement a system that complimented your players instead of being one of the most predictable offenses in the state then you may have a chance. CPA will show you guys what good coaching can do. CPA doesn't have the best athletes in the state, but they put their players in the best situation to succeed. Something Hickman has not done this season compared to last season. CPA by 17.
  8. I looked at their schedule and I can see why they would be seen as a potiental threat to Camden, however they barely beat 1A Mt. Pleasant and barely beat 3-7 DCA. I still don't see how the number 4 team in the state could see this team as a threat. Camden has done a great job on the ground. They should roll easily in this game. What does Fairview do that would give Camden problems? I am intrigued about this match up.
  9. Marshall Co. is a tough draw for Lexington. They can throw the ball around the yard and still gash you in the running game if you take too many out of the box. I look for the Tigers of Marshall Co. to win this game by 2 TDs.
  10. I think this one will either be real ugly with CPA winning big, or Hickman forcing some turnovers and playing a close game. I don't think DJ Key will be able to make CPA to respect the pass. Look for CPA to man up and play the run. Also if they put Z-Mason in the backfield game over for the bulldogs.
  11. Why does everyone seem to think this will be close? Camden is the # 4 team in the state, and they gave Milan a pretty good game. Seems to me that Camden has the advantage in every category. Maybe I am missing something. I don't know alot about Fairview.
  12. It seems as if the clock has finally struck 12 on this team. Last year they had some success no one saw coming and now its time to turn back into the Pumpkin it was a good 15-17 game stretch for York.
  13. Looking at the 2A bracket it looks like the Mid-West Bracket is loaded with great teams. You have 3 region champions 2 # 2 seeds with 8-2 records 1 # 2 seed that has went to 3 straight BCB 1 # 3 seed who is 7-3 with 2 losses coming to teams in this Quad and to a playoff bound Page team 1 Wild Card team that gave # 4 Camden all they could handle. Seems to me alot of good teams are going to go home early. Also how did Stewart Co. win the Tiebreaker over Hickman Co. for the 4 seed?
  14. Milan's only goal for this game is to come out injury free and get ready for the final 4 games.
  15. I see everyone is saying Fairview doesn't match-up well with Fairview. I was just curious to understand. From the looks of their stats they don't put up impressive numbers? What type of scheme do they run? I saw they played Lewis close so I figured they were a team that went sideline to sideline which would be in Camden's favor. I just don't see Camden having any problems in the first round.
  16. Tigers should congratulate themselves on a 5 game improvement from last season. However, Lewis Co. seems to have everything rolling this year. Lewis Co. will win by 2 plus TDs then set their eyes on Goodpasture.
  17. Final Four Milan vs. Lewis (they finally get over the hump) Alcoa vs. Boyd Whoever said DJ Key is the best player from around the midwest region hasn't seen alot of game apparently, because he is average at best. Alot of great players from Camden, Lewis, Waverly, and even on Key's on team.
  18. I read up on the Fairview-Lewis game and it seems that the game was close until late in the 3rd being 15-8 and Fairview turned over the ball in the Red Zone and it was all Panthers the rest of the game. So it seems like they gave Lewis some what of a game. I don't see how the game was never in doubt. Looking at their stats on the Tennessean, it doesn't seem like they have a stud offensive player. They have two defensive players that stand out in Ethan Cassidy and Ben Johnson. I still think Camden would handily win this game. Doesn't seem like Fairview can put up points. Camden would be better off playing Fairview than drawing CPA or Goodpasture, in my opinion.
  19. From the looks of things Camden will end up in the Mid-West quad playing Fairview, which would be a good draw for Camden. They could end up West if Adamsville wins and only one wild card comes from the West part of the state. Then they would probably draw a Memphis school. But the first scenario playing Fairview is the most likely.
  20. how is no one giving you credit? Seems to me you are a little uptight along with the Waverly fans. Camden has built a great program and through that they should learn that you prove your worth on the field. Coach Ward could careless what the rest of the state thinks about his team. He will have them ready to make a deep playoff run. Waverly on the other hand, needs to find an identity on offense, however there season may be done.
  21. West Greene would be the correct choice for Alcoa.
  22. Sorry for the slip there, but the facts the facts. Waverly is playing the waiting game, cause if Huntingdon wins and then other teams take up the wild cards Waverly is sitting at home. Waverly has no control over their playoff destiny. They have decided to let other teams decide for them. First people in Waverly need to understand that they can not play Fairview or Richland in the playoffs. Richland will not beat Hickman tonight, so they won't even have 5 wins to be in the discussion. Then Fairview is the 3 seed from Region 6 and the best they can do right now is a 7 seed. Waverly can not get the 2 seed in this quad. Best they can do even if Adamsville wins is a 6 seed which would put them up against the CPA-Goodpasture winner.
  23. If Waverly makes the playoffs then the Panthers will play the Tigers. Then they would probably get the winner of the Hickman Co.-CPA/Goodpasture game. That is my guess.
