I wasn't trying to put down Private School Coaches. The email listed the coaches that were at the meeting, and my point was I didn't think that all the people involved were represented at the meeting. I don't think this benefits the majority, public or private.

I received an email yesterday about this topic. I can't believe this is actually being considered. Over half of the coaches in our district coach both boys and girls teams. How are we going to find that many more coaches? We can barely get refs for the games we have. How are we going to cover twice as many games? Most teams struggle to get buses for away games now, with baseball and softball in the spring. Who has 2 practice fields? I can't believe that a meeting between a few private school coaches and travel team representatives could lead to thousands of players being without a coach or even possibly a team, so that a select few could have the opportunity to choose to play on multiple teams. Why don't they move college football to the spring so that players can play in the NFL while in college?

I wouldn't exactly say that.... Livingston and DeKalb have a good chance a beating Smith. As much as it hurts me to say it, if Smith has a weakness, Coach King at Livingston will find it. He always makes adjustments that give his team a good chance. If I can get all of my players healthy, we will give Smith a tough game as well.

DeKalb 2 Livingston 2 I was a very good game. Both teams played well. It looks like the Smith Co. matches will decide the district.

I agree, but if both sides are quality, field size can make a difference. My point was that the teams in the east all have small fields relative to the top teams in the west.

The top two in the west will probably be Central and Merrol Hyde, and both will be tough. However, the District Tourn. will be played at Macon Co. which means a small field. Advantage for the East.

I haven't seen Smith yet, but based on scores and the fact their program continues to improve, I think that they will be pretty good. Livingston came to our playday, and they have two very talented forwards and a strong defensive center back. Macon also came to our playday, and they were a little behind where they usually are. Granted it was preseason, and they always improve a lot as the season goes on. I think Smith vs Livingston and Macon vs York should be good match ups.

The Dragons are much improved this year. They have some talented players and a strong Goalkeeper. I was impressed with how hard they played.

DeKalb Co. locked up 1st place in 8 A-AA East with wins over Macon Co. and Livingston Tuesday and Thursday. Our only loss to an AA team is Central Magnet and, no offense to CAK, but MCM should be ranked no. 1. I'm a little biased, but I think we deserve a top 10 nod.

CCS 5 ND 0 I guess the top 10 ranked ND has "no chance" or should not be considered a "player in state conversation"
