  1. Avery Williamson -- Milan Definite D-1 SEC . Broke state record for tackles in a state championship this year. 22 solo tackles. Middle Linebacker.
  2. Anybody got a video on this? A Link to see it?
  3. Mitchell converts with 4 min left on a 3rd and 20, then a 4th down on that miraculous catch! I was pulling for Mitchell. #28 could not be stopped on the sweeps!!!!! WHY DID YOU THROW THAT SLANT??? Ya'll were prime and ready to punch it in down there to win the game! Ya'll were on the 30. 1st and 10. I honestly thought that was the worst play call ive ever seen. Mitchell was dominating up front with that running game at the end. I couldn't believe he threw the ball. There was no need to. I still can't get over it. Malone is one heck of a wide reciever by the way.
  4. Word is, he might be a Gator. Urban Meyer doesn't get much from Tennessee but I think everybody and their momma is after Avery. Hes a really good kid and one heck of a linebacker. Wish Milan would have let him run that trap earlier in the game! Coach Rankin is a Class Act for his remarks in the paper. He could have easily just talked about his own team and he totally went the other direction and gave Milan the props they deserved. Congrats again Alcoa. I was interested to see a box score with stats. You can tell field position played a big part, that, and Alcoa's defense playing lights out. Milans defense was really strong. They played man to man with Sam Thompson the whole game. Milans offensive ability to sustain a drive came too late. Thought the score before halftime put Milan back a lot. If it had only been 7-0 at halftime, Milan wouldn't have felt as down. The 2nd pass interference call looked questionable. But you can't face guard in high school supposedly? That was a key touchdown for Alcoa. That, and the punt return. Huge. Congrats Alcoa. You proved why you were the champions. Milan is the #2 team in the state. Time to get bigger and stronger on the line. Avery is going to be ridiculous next year. He has got to be a 4 star recruit, maybe a 5. Hes got all the tools needed to play at the next level. By the way! what a gutsy call on the halfback pass on 4th and goal. Geez!
  5. Congrats to Alcoa. I consider myself a class act, so im giving props where it is needed. For those who thought Milan was weak, were dead wrong. Im going to make my points, then sign off. Because some will appreciate my words and some will be classless punks. I thought Milan did a very good job on the defensive end. The first drive forced Alcoa to punt and for the most part Milan's defense was on the field way too long to win the game. Milans offense never got anything going. I was most impressed with Alcoa's class on the field. I expected punks, I was wrong. I saw class. The entire game was played in Milan territory it seemed like. Sam Thompson can punt a mile. #19 Avery Williamson is a man among boys. 22 Tackles Defensive MVP. This is not an insult but he absolutely lit up Alcoa's running back before their first score. Before the halfback pass. Big props to Milan's defense. I thought they played extremely well for the situations they were put in. The Punt Return was huge. That opened the game up. Milan had success with the QB run and with Avery Williamson. Just could never open up the passing game, Alcoa lined the safetys up over the top and took away the deep threat. Thought Milan did a great job on the line for what they had. Numerous sacks and putting Alcoa in 3rd and longs. Alcoa's running back ran very hard. Hes a good player. "Im showing respect here". Just wish Milan would have had some sustaining drives. Hats off to Alcoa. I can't say enough about Avery Williamson. One fact about it, hes back next year. Only a junior. With the SEC looks he has already, tonight probably topped it off for him. He'll be on tv soon enough. The good thing Milan fans, is that pretty much the whole team is returning #19 Avery Williamson MLB, #29 Jabronski Gilbert RB/OLB, #38 Chris Bledsoe OLB, #32 SS Tim Adkisson, #24 Beau Vandiver WR/SS, # 5 Domique Moore WR, #88 Christian Coleman who blocked the punt and ran it in was a Sophomore. Things look up for a return to the Buro next season Congrats Alcoa on a great season. Congrats Milan on a great season.
  6. back to the game. Milans Defense proves tough. We will all know what we are in for in the 1st quarter. Milan 24 Alcoa 14
  7. How many were Single A. Talk about competition.
  8. Where were you in 98,99,01,02,03? Its irrelevant. 2008 is the only one up for grabs.
  9. I got an F5/Alcoa's Dreams all in one package...My toilet. I can flush it all day and see a twister go down the drain. Do us all a favor..grab your cane, walk yourself to your bathroom and flush. That's the only tiny twister you'll see this whole weekend.
  10. And you lost.... in front of 21,500.
  11. picking up Harry in t-minus 7 hours and we'll be on our way.
  12. p.s. Milan 1999 v/s Portland had 13,200 People in Attendance. There has only been ONE game with more people since then and that was in 2003 Montgomery Bell Academy. Something tells me its going to be DEEP in less than 24 hours.
  13. I love getting on here and reading 16 and 17 year old kids talk about real football. Its hilarious. Alcoa talks about how weak West Tennessee Football is. Then they bring up the past couple years. If you want to bring it up, lets bring it up. Milan hasn't gotten beat 55-0 in the playoffs in the last 8 years. You got spanked by a Lipscomb team, that then went and played Huntingdon and it was like 40 point win by Huntingdon. Weak? Were were you in 2001? 2002? 2003? Milan 98 Milan 99 2000 Alcoa 2001 Alcoa was slaw, Goodpasture dominated 2002 Even slawer, David Lipscomb dominated 2003 Got raped by David Lipscomb 2004 you won ..best game ive seen in a while by both teams. Could have gone either way 2005 you won 2006 you won 2007 you won the Cobb era is over. 2008 ? You haven't been OUTRIGHT dominant but for 3 years. Lets get real. All good things come to an end. You can reply all you want. You aren't the "team to beat" in this state. You never will be until you beat Maryville. Maryville had less talent than you this year and you still lost. You had Cobb for three years and still couldn't win. NOT ONCE!...Don't get on here and think everyone looks up to Alcoa. You aren't even the champions of your own county. Yes, I know Maryville is legit but you will be forever known in your lifespan for winning those championships but never beating Maryville. NOBODY on ALCOAS ROSTER will outrun Milan on a big play. Sam Thompson this, Sam Thompson that...J.W. Williams or T. Peoples will be on him like white on rice. Believe dat! All this "Too Hype"...thats funny. Who has yall "Too Hype" up there? Mr. Mack from the 8-6-5? Goodness. Where ya from foo? 8-6-5?...One hit wonder. We'll show you "Too Hype" and raise you "Bring the Wood". I heard Yo Gotti has ties with a player from Milan and he says North Memphis will get Milan hype before the game Tomm. Night.
  14. Good article on Jeff Smith. A Blount Co resident pullin for the Bulldogs
  15. Your facts are pathetic. Never any insight within your post. Peabody let up more than 40 points in that season. Milan put 34 on them the week before the GP game. Get a clue. Yeah, I powned you, Noob. Get over it.
