How did I know Copenoc would show up on this post? Maybe because he started it to begin with? This is exactly what you expect from certain people. Copenoc you called me Lake County garbage last week...so we know how you feel about LC. Coach Whitby was a good man but built NOTHING at LC. Coach Barger deserves the credit and I wouldn't be surprised if some of the folks in UC aren't already scheming to get rid of Mr Personality and replace him with Coach B. That would be par for course.

I'll take Lake County if Coach Barger stays, just because nobody has been able to keep her out of the state tourney yet! Zay Coleman should be a Mr.Basketball finalist and gives you a chance in every game.

Again we only forfeited four wins. Everything was done by the book. Nothing to see here, move along, move along.

Running plays against Humboldt is like trying to paint a house during a tornado....you get all messy and turn the ball over. Too many athletes...thats their style and it works. We understood that going in. I swear the dumbest people troll our boards. Whine whine that style of ball doesn't meet my standards....but it wins gold balls!

FrankieD12 sounds like a UC fan to me. One thing has been lost in this and it's the fact both teams won on their home courts but struggled on the others. This is as neutral as it gets. I don't get the whole Humboldt is so much better hype. They are good and I respect their players and coaches....but by gosh we are good to and HAVE BEATEN THEM THIS YEAR! Now LC just needs to take the gold ball home to Tiptonville. Humboldt can visit it each year! Go Falcons!

No one blamed DC for what happened, just recruiting our LC kids which started the whole mess. I understand LC had to forfeit because he played, but to not let them continue their season would have been a travesty. Again LC did nothing wrong and the player was cleared by TSSAA and the LC and Trenton self reported the violation when they realized they had been lied to. He was not some stud player we needed, just a sad situation for the schools and the young man.

A Dyer Co player transfered to Trenton Peabody and then LC and schools were told Mom moved but it wasn't true. The violations were self reported by Peabody and LC. All games at both schools that he played in were forfeited. I believe two at Peabody and six at LC only four of which were wins.He wasn't a great basketball player

I had Watertown 8 of 21 and LC was 9 of 14 from the line. Truth is Watertown was given an unfair advantage in the first half. I don't care how good ya'll think they are, there is NO WAY they played the first 14 mins of that game without committing a single foul!!!! At the 2:20 Mark they got their first whistle and we had 9 at the time! TSSAA should sit that crew for the remainder of the tourney.

Bigpurplemachine we only forfeited four wins. So if that helps everyone understand why we are winning now, they can say they loss to a legit 13-24 team.lol

How good is Richland? I only saw part of the first half against Grace. Lake County is rolling right now but can they make it back to the championship? I'll keep picking my Falcons and say they win this one in regulation by 5. Let's hear your thoughts.

Our schedule was brutal. We play the best around so we can beat anyone in the Boro. 5-1 record now. Played Humboldt four times, AAA Dyer Co twice, Union city three times, Liberty twice etc etc. They didn't choke they got beat by a better team. Pretty much any team in our district would have won this game today. 14A is tough and we play anyone who is good and will play us.....and this is why!

Congratulations to Watertown on a great season. They were a classy team. I was at the game and I thought the officials completely took LC out of their game in the first half, it was horrendous! Half our players in foul trouble gave Wtown open looks they wouldn't have had. Second half evened out. Coach Barger is now5-1 in state tourney.

Topper06 you must be a McEwen fan? They have a love affair with dogging our coach and you would fit in perfect with them. All I've heard from them the last two years is how she can't coach, but one of them actually said if she could make the glass house with this years team they would take back their statements......well?! What she has done at Lake County is far beyond any silly comments people make. Three years as a head coach, and three trips to the glass house. She has a sparkling 4-1 record in state tournament play. As for the comment about Coach Whitby, I like him to, but he couldn't do this with much better talent than what Coach Barger has had. The difference is the boys are buying into her coaching. She has coached circles around many of the male coaches in West Tennessee and yet still doesn't get the credit she deserves. I also take exception to your comment about our girls team. How can a coach turn around a girls program that has been to the glass house three of the last five years and finished with a loss in substate this year with just seven girls on the team? I would imagine most teams in the state would consider that a pretty good program that is not in need of turning around. Anyway back to the matter at hand. I think if LC is able to control the tempo and it is run and gun on both sides, I think LC wins by 8. I don't think you will see us get outcoached at all this week.

Congratulations to Jackson County. Union City had a great run without their best player....had a great season. Copenoc all I did was say who I was for, no bad mouthing your team or city. But your response is exactly why many of the fans in 14A agree with me and won't pull for UC.

A Lake County and Humboldt AA Jackson AS AAA Anyone but Dyer County Honestly I have been won over by Humboldt Coach Boykin. They have been a fun team to watch this year, even though we are 1-3 against them. Still believe Coach Barger and the Falcons can pull out a miracle in the glass house!

Disappointed Lake Counties Shamon Pearson wasn't invited this year. She was as solid a player as anyone in West tn in single A ball. Well over 1500 points in her career and headed to Bethel to play ball. Carried the Falcons to a substate game.

My heart says Jackson County because there is no way I can pull for UC to bring home a gold ball. But my mind tells me its gonna happen. Here's hoping those Jackson County fans who have trolled our 14A posts all year weren't crazy after all....yea yea I know I'm supposed to support our local team but I just can't. Lol

Yea I guess UCGRAD, we should have learned from UC's mistake last year with a certain transfer who caused the twisters to forfeit some games. lol

Lake County returns four starters from this years team. Also pretty strong talk of a transfer who could make an impact. I spoke with her father last week but will hold my tongue on who it is til it happens. Starting five right now would be Gray, Jones, Wiggins, Yancy, and Allison. Should pick up at least three eighth graders.

Ya'll to Viking. Can u imagine Humboldt and Lake County playing each other in the glass house for a gold ball? Stranger things have happened this year lol.

Back to the Boro for Coach B and the Falcons. Congratulations and another gold ball would nice. Before anyone says they can't, think twice. They've done everything they have needed to do. To doubt them at this point sets you up to look like a fool!

It seems more obvious to me that its late than what I'm reading. Her arms are not extended enough to push the ball from her hands as the clock hits 0. But in actuality instant replay won't work until you get qualified refs who can analyze it. I swear one of the lady refs in our game last night was so lost she would have looked at this video, counted the shot, and put some time back on the clock .

LC got beat 64-50. Madison killed us in the paint. The size difference is just too much. Wish we could find one six footer plus to come to LC. Madison has two. Good luck Madison and cyclones.....I'm out til next season....unless somebody says something stupid about LC or our coaches!
