Funny how all it takes is an "outsider" coming on the 14A boards to make UC and LC fans bond together. lol I just think it rubs people the wrong way when you tell us you are going to come in and dominate 14A basketball when you can't beat our third or fourth place team. Again UC will be the class of West Tennessee single A basketball next year. LC loses their best player but I guarantee you they will still be very good. A starting lineup of Tiana Gray, Yazzie Yancy, Ashley Wiggins, Kheela Jones, and Kayla Allison would still be in the top four in the district this year and will be next year as well. That team did win the Middle School championship together and I say it all the time, high school girls basketball is about more than putting good players on the court. You have to know how to win. Those close games LC won this year were because they know how to win a game and they NEVER panic. Really I guess you could say they don't know how to lose. My daughter is a Sophomore and since the sixth grade can count the games they have lost on her hands (literally). Why in the world would anyone doubt they will continue to win next year? They will lose a couple more this year (maybe Friday night at Greenfield) and a few next year but still be a good basketball team. South Fulton and Greenfield are going to continue to get better and are very good solid teams. That will not change in the near future either. I guess what we are trying to say is you can say GC will dominate, will finish second, will go to the glass house every year.......but until they can beat Greenfield, South Fulton, Lake County, and Union City on a nightly basis, it may not happen.

Good win for the Lady Jackets. Still wonder what happened in that South Fulton game as we have had no one post details yet. UC beat Liberty about the same as Lake County did at Liberty. They are not a bad team and have one really good player. Just a few days until LC travels to Greenfield in what has been our toughest place to play on the road the last few years. This one makes me a little nervous coming off the Christmas break and having to travel to Greenfield. A win for LC would be huge in the district before going out of district on Saturday to play Middleton and then hosting Union City. Things are about to get cranked up!

What are everyone's projections for the second half of the season? Have they changed since day 1? Which two substate teams will come out of our region? Mine have not changed. I see 14A as UC/LC/GF/SF in that order. May or may not happen but a 14A sweep would not surprise me this year. Predicting UC/LC as our two substate teams.......but anything could happen.

UC should have no trouble. This is 14A Basketball. lol

Don't let it shock you. Devon Jones and Justin Kimble are out for a few games in a disciplinary situation. Our boys have struggled with Devon, but withou him we have big trouble. Also Kimble is our big man and we really missed him tonight. Add at least two technical fouls and a couple of intentional fouls and you get a big loss to Bradford. On a positive note congrats on beating sisco's cyclones. Guess ya'll won't be trying to hire him away from UC now. Lol

True Bigster. The flu finally hit our girls. Thankfully not Shamon Pearson who scored 28. Wiggins played with the flu showing her toughness. Bradford played well enough to win but came up short. Boys played without Devon Jones or Justin Kimble and just never had a chance without their two starters, best scorer, and big man. Tough night on both sides but we will take that girls win and enjoy Christmas in second place in 14A and sporting a 9-1 record. Hope everyone has a great Christmas and don't forget the reason for the season!

Tonight is the last game of 2012 for the Lake County Lady Falcons. A win against Bradford will give them a 9-1 record which is actually better than last year at the end of December. Solidly in second place with wins over everyone in the district with the exception of the Obion County Cyclones. If we could get some help from Greenfield tonight we could ride in the new year with a share of first place.lol No Christmas tourney this year which I think was a great move by the coaching staff. When you only have 7 players, an injury in a Christmas tourney pretty much ends your season. We saw two girls go down for the season on teams at the Daytona Classic last season. Right where I thought we would be despite the comments like "TT is gone better get used to losing".....thats right I haven't forgotten........and we just can't get used to losing. lol Good luck Lady Falcons against Bradford and Go JACKETS!

I understand my friend and you don't have to worry about hurting my feelings. I can take it just as well as I can dish it. lol I do wish some of you UC fans would pretend to be Trenton, Bradford, or Halls fans just to make this board more tolerable. Seems like all my partners have left the boards which is kinda sad since we are 8-1 on the girls side and getting better every game. Absolutely no reason our girls can't go back to Murfreesboro this year with a few good calls and a little luck. The boys are not as bad as their record shows. They can beat pretty much anybody on our schedule at home on any given night.......or get blown out just depending on how they play. But they are a good bunch of kids and fun to watch. Tonight didn't really diminish the fact they have won three district games in a row and are playing much better. Not many teams would have beaten Liberty tonight.....I swear they hit like 20 three pointers. lol

I didn't see UC chipper. Calm that purple blood down. Not every post is intended to attack the cyclones. I was on my way to Louisiana when they beat our boys. Yes Liberty is easily the best I have seen this year. Honestly just not a huge fan of high school boys basketball. Have three daughters and prefer the girls side.

LC boys lost at Liberty 62-40. Easily the best team I've seen this year.

Lake County Lady Falcons win at Liberty 63-51. 8-1 on the year 5-1 in the district. Another fantastic performance by Pearson with 22 and Yancy with 19 and almost no turnovers! We are getting better.

Here's hoping for a greenfield sweep Tuesday night!

Is the UC/SF game on for tonight? If so can somebody give us updates? I would love to see that game but we are going to Trenton. We will finally get to see how good South Fulton really is this week. They are probably the biggest mystery in 14A. I know they have a good team but just not sure how good. They have lost twice to a good OC team but other than that haven't played anybody. Looks like their opponent's records is approximately 4-25. Union City will be the best team they have played this year and then they have to come to Lake County on Friday. If they finish this week with 1 or 2 wins they could very well be the 1st or 2nd best team in the district. I enjoyed watching them play in the tourney last year as they improved over the course of the year. I look forward to seeing them Friday.

Lake County gets their first win of the season and its a big one. 55-50 over Humboldt. Congratulations Falcons and Coach Barger. Hopefully this turns the season around.

LOL Sheriff we have lost every game and only one of them wasn't a blowout. If we go to state it will take divine intervention.....and great coaching. I'm as big a Lake Co. Fan as there is but it will be a few years before we are back to that level. Right now we just need to win one!

Yep UCTdoes we play SF next Friday in Tiptonville.

UC should beat Halls easily, but they are improved and well coached. SF gets their first real test in 14A against Greenfield. Didn't look but if that game is at Greenfield I think the Jackets have the advantage. Nothing has changed really, the top four spots in 14A are locked up unless something crazy happens. The four teams everyone predicted. Just have to set the order now. Lol
