  1. probably is risky. hard to go back to a place you left too. hard to argue with his win-loss record at hillsboro.
  2. ya'll do have a bit of a problem with coach turnover down there. i would think there would be a few qualified applicants though. better hire fast, spring practice is right around the corner.
  3. well said. look at the different systems that coaches ran that were the state champions last year. you had i teams, spread teams and wing t teams. leadership and putting kids in the best position for success wins.
  4. a friend of mine said that there's a coach at riverdale that might be interested.
  5. a principal should get a decent idea on how well a coach can run a program with an interview. influencing/coaching players is only part of the job. organization skills and knowledge should be on display in an interview, as with any job interview.
  6. i'm guessing there will be very few qualified assistant coaches willing to work under a coach who went directly from middle school to a high school head coach.
  7. looks as if you coach a haters might be getting your wish after all. http://tennessee.coacht.com/boards/index.p...96&start=96
  8. from what i hear aydelot didn't apply. at least that's what the riverdale folks are saying.
  9. i agree with 66. good football programs don't have this much turnover without problems with the administration. something is going on over at fhs.
  10. i hope you're right, their offense it too good not to make a run in the playoffs. dekalb should hire a proven defensive mind but i hear the administration is not very supportive of football. that can always cause problems.
  11. nice post swami. rumor i hear is Wells is the new DC. don't have a rock solid source tho. as for smithson if he had talent and was willing to work or had other issues you would think some school would take a chance on him. guess the college recruiters don't see the talent to take a chance on.
  12. good post PBD. i have a friend who knows quite a bit that's going on at riverdale but all he mentions to me is coaches leaving. i haven't heard anything on the new dc. and yes, college scouts find talent regardless of wins and losses. lod, most college recruiters/scouts come out during spring ball to look at players. riverdale hadn't played a game then so wins/losses wouldn't have factored in. from what i gather and seen riverdale's senior talent was down this past year. not way down, but down.
  13. From what I hear Fairview was considered a great job before this mess with the admin and coach.
