  1. Congratulations Jackets on another big win, it's ashame this win is marred by a few idiots off of the field after the game. It was a great game to watch and the atmosphere was amazing before the game and during. What the he_ _ were yall thinking behind the end zone? I hope this doesn't happen next week. I know the vandalism played apart in all this, but come on guys and gals. We won and did it honestly without help from the officials. I was on the sideline, at the line of scrimmage where Mausen did go past the line before throwing the football. The frustrations of the FC players on the field were unfortunate, but they hurt FC in what should have been big plays for them. The kids on the field played their hearts out and this happens in the playoffs for seniors doing their best and getting frustrated, they are kids still. And no not everyone does it but its not like it hasn't happened before. Our apologies to the people effected by this behavior and we can learn from this and move on. Congratulations FC on a good season and a hard fought game.
  2. Very well said possumtowner, we try to raise them right and teach them the same. We don't want anyone hurt tonight, ( except for their feelings ) , its all in good fun. We are very proud of our team, as I am sure everyone in possumtown is of yours. Why someone would get on here and attack them is beside me. Underlying issues for sure. Good luck guys, I hope you need it. GO JACKETS!!!!!!!
  3. If you think your larger team is better than we are, line up and lets play smashmouth football. But we all know that it will be trick plays and Mausen trying to scramble to make something happen. Run over Ford, Seay, Gregorys, and the rest and we will tip our hat to you. But run scared and sideline to sideline and you will still be the second best in the District. And quit calling our coach, he doesn't want to go there.
  4. Did anyone else not see the left tackle getting planted every play on defense? And what about support for the team, with 7 minutes to go in the game, the stands were emptying. Don't you think the players on the field saw all that. You don't think that does something to them? Say you support them all you want, you have to show it. I imagine the big crowd will be there Friday night to see T.C. win, or maybe just to see F.C. lose. Your people do not support your team, never have. Small crowds on the road except for very few games. We don't understand that over here. Your team is pretty good year end and year out, what happens to all the alumni support? Only when it is a big game? Come on, I know your boys grind it out on the practice field everyday, show them the appreciation that they deserve and get to the game. It should be a GREAT GAME. Oh yeah, you will see heart all over Mausen, or whatever his name is, all night.
  5. The Game of the year is at hand, Mr. Ford is ready to play with the rest of his swarm. I hope they found out what was wrong with # 75 last game, he was on his back most every defensive play. Seemed to be either very weak or maybe playing possum. He better step it up this time or same result. Mausen ran around a bit , but for what. We want you to throw the ball, we have a pretty good secondary this year with several picks, go ahead if you have time. Plain truth, we are better, better coached and better players as a whole. We have more heart and are better conditioned. Your only hope is miscues and penalties.
  6. Maybe so, but the facts remain the same.
  7. Trousdale plays at Macon tonight and we will see what type of calls we get or don't get, should be interesting!
  8. During the Nera White Christmas Tournament, head coach Josh Ray gave an interview with radio host Jerry Richmond. During this interview, coach Ray stated that he didn't know which 5 players should be on the floor or who should get the ball when we needed a crucial basket. We are over ten games into the season and he is about the only one in the building who doesn't know who should be on the floor at one time, it is very simple, Holland, Cornwell, Gregory, Brown, and Ford should get the bulk of the playing time with Wood and Dillon coming off the bench. If he can't see that Holland should be the one getting the ball when a basket is needed than he should leave the building. Holland can take the ball from one end to the other, through the press and finish, yet the head coach can't see this? We are continually beat on the offensive boards while our best leaper and one of our two tallest players is playing guard and not post? One player keeps getting playing time, yet is subject to losing the ball at any time? And then gets yelled at, every night (except for the Jackson County game). Players are getting swapped in and out too often. A very good talent , freshman Ford, is not seeing the time he should, one mistake and out he comes. The kids are scared to play, if they make a mistake they get benched, no continuation to gel as a team. This is not just my opinion, there are plenty of fans and parents that feel the same way ( that is what they say when we talk). We have too much talent on this team for the record we have at this point. Coach Ray please pick 5, put them on the floor, tell them what is expected, and let them play without fear of being taken out of the game for 1 turnover if they are playing hard. These boys practice hard for you, please evaluate the season to this point, and make some changes if you can. I wish you the best of luck and I hope you can lead us to more consistent play.
  9. Just wondering about what everyone thinks on the coaching positions in region 8A (boys). Here at Trousdale County we lost a very good coach in Mike Potts and his assistant took over the head coaching duties. I hope he gets better at his trade pretty quick, but to this point he has cost us a few wins with his inability to play the players that should be on the floor and the ones who shouldn't. He will not change defenses in a game to match the threat of the other teams offense, or use timeouts in key situations of a game. I have discussed this with several people and we all agree on these same points, but we hold out hope that with some experience he will get better. It is ashame that with the talent we have on the floor we are unable to play to our abilities.
  10. If you were at the game between Trousdale County and Merrol Hyde last week, you would have been treated to a classic call from our typical referees that we have been so lucky to have on the floor for our games. The ball was passed to the wing, and was close to the sideline, when the player caught the ball his foot was on the line, he scooted it off the line and looked at the ref, then he started dribbling down the floor. The people in the stands yelled to the ref and his reply was " just a little " . This year has been a year of awful calls both for and against us, what has happened to the referees in this part of the state? /dry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="
  11. Has anyone else noticed how bad the referees have become the last few years? Carring the ball hardly ever gets called, three seconds isn't called unless it is brought to the refs attn. ( it seems ). Touch fouls get called when someone knocked to the floor goes uncalled, or hands all over someone bringing the ball down in a press situation and no call, yet put a hand on them near the goal and a whistle. Whats up with the refs., is it just they can't get decent refs anymore or is the test that easy to pass to get certified. Come on T.S.S.A.A. chech out these refs. /mad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="mad.gif" />
  12. Trousdale County should have the best team they have put on the court since we went to state a few years back. Leading the pack will be senior Kaleb Holland, just back from the state champion football team, Alex Gregory and Craig Brown juniors, and who should be a big help, freshman, Adam Ford, sophmore Ryan Cornwell should be starters that can light up the nets. Our coaching is suspect, but we are hoping he gets better. Everyone overlook us please, we should be real good this year. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  13. Watch out for Trousdale Counties #40 Kaleb Holland, real good all-around player. He sees the floor, can take the ball from goal to goal and finish. With the players returning from the football season, look for Holland to open up his game. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
  14. Congratulations Trousdale County Jackets, we knew you guys were going to do it, hard work pays off. When the game got tight, you buckled down and did what was necessary. Great job Tacola, wow you looked awesome carring players with you down the field. Great job Craig, you did T.C. proud. Austin, what can I say, during the playoffs, you have made plays that were huge. Josh you are the heart and soul of this team, thank you for all you have gone through these last few years to give us something special to have here in Hartsville. Brent Ford, great job this year, I wish you would have been healthy for this game, I don't think #44 would of had as good a game. Creigh Hall, you ran hard and showed a lot of heart, thank you. Good job to Joey Cox, your play through the playoffs was crucial to T.C.'s success. To all of the Yellow Jackets WAY TO GO GUYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations to Jo Burns on a great year, you guys had a far better team than what most of us gave you credit for. I, myself, am glad your coach didn't run #44 more than he did. If he had played for T.C. I can guarantee you would have seen him till you could have stopped him. Great player! The line opened holes that not many teams have all year, great job. I think your players did what they needed to do, I feel your coaches may have learned a little too. I believe you guys will be a big threat next year to win it all, Good Luck.
  15. Even with Brent Ford not playing, JB doesn't win, Josh Cunningham, Austin Dillon, Kyle Gregory, Alex Gregory, Craig Brown, Joey Cox, Tyler Edwards, Craig Storey, Josh Payne, Tacola Seay, Joe Sanders, Jared White and the rest of the mighty Jackets will see to that!!! JB has entered the real world of football in Tennessee, so buckle your chinstrap, make sure your mouthpiece is in, and you have plenty of pain pills, you are about to find out what a real football team is like!
  16. Lets go Jackets, time to bring home the gold (again) to Trousdale County where it belongs. Don't let anyone keep this from you. Play every snap hard, make every hit hard, and block till the whistle blows. Show these people what you are made of and why Trousdale County Football is where it is. Show them we don't overlook opponents, that we come prepared and leave it on the field. Trousdale County is behind you Jackets, do your best like we know you will, and finish off a great season (again).
  17. /hungry.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hungry:" border="0" alt="hungry.gif" /> Hey red devils, you have never seen the hunger in a mans eyes like you will see in Mr. Cunningham's eyes. He won't be hard to find, just don't be the one with the ball and you may make it through the game still walking. They don't keep a stat on players injured by a team, but you are about to meet one of the best at doing so. No cheap shots, just straight up pound the rock, in your face football. Congratulations on being there, I know you think you have worked hard, but you just can't comprhend what T.C. goes through to be where we are. Hope you can keep it somewhat close, and know it is going to be cold, but that isn't heck freezing over so no gold.
