  1. I should have drafted Harper for my fantasy team.
  2. Haha. Great Cambellite reference. It's a fun game to watch & very little defense. Is this what TC was expecting?
  3. TTitan, you mean you won't pull for a fellow 9a school? I thought 9A was tight like that.
  4. If you get to the McDonalds, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen, Baskin Robbins, Walgreen's, Auto Zone, Thorntons & Gold's Gym....You went a block too far.
  5. Here we go. Another week of this. Accusations with ZERO evidence of wrong doing. Gotta love CoachT message boards.
  6. And they still won the district championship? If this is true, what does that say about the other teams in the district?

  8. So you stand behind your comments ...... that you deleted.
  9. HAHA!! Exactly 840. To bad the "headsets" couldn't tackle or block!! Now why did Phil delete the "headset" posts on here? Helloooo Phil. Can you hear me? Turn your headset on.
  10. Wow! Big accusation that is absolutely not true. The players all have armbands & the coach calls in the Letter/Number for the play. Ask the players on the field or the chain crew, the coach is yelling the play into the QB & they can hear him as he yells it. The QB puts his hands up to say he didn't hear the play. It's a very humorous accusation though. I'm sure the coach would be happy to show the refs the helmet.
  11. Good win for MTCS. Huntland has a good team with young talent. They should be good for the next few years.
  12. No he wasn't. He even said it in his last post when he said the coach from last year is at Briarcrest. Pretty sure this coach was never interviewed after the Marion Co game. Reading comprehension can be hard for some.....that's why I typed this slowly. And back to the game. It all comes down to the offensive & defensive lines. Who wins there will win the game.
  13. The MTCS coach is in his first year, pretty sure its not "the same coach" .....& now .... the Truth Really Prevails! Check your tagline....The Lord detests lying lips.
  14. Buddha.....Forrest played great & MTCS did not. I knew it would come down to how the lines played for both sides & MTCS was dominated by the Forrest O & D line. MTCS did lose their best lineman on the first series & that didn't help, but It probably wouldn't have had any difference on the outcome. But as you know.....injuries to wrong people can cause your team problems. (ie...your endless rants on why Forrest lost at Huntland). When you have 30-32 kids on your entire team, depth is always an issue. You mentioned that Winn fumbled & the "refs were clueless" to what had happened. Why did you not mention that the ref was clueless & out of position when he called the pass incomplete in the end zone for MTCS on the 2nd drive of the 3rd qtr? It was clearly a catch, just ask your OWN chain crew. They were telling people people nearby it was clearly a catch. That would have cut the lead down to 2 possessions. Would it have mattered? Who knows, but even other schools have calls go against them. But again, Forrest would have still won the game I just thought it should be mentioned that MTCS had a TD taken away by a bad call. Congrats to Forrest on a good win. If they keep playing like that they will be hard to beat. Now, I have to get back to the reality of life and go earn a living. Can't sit here staring at a screen talking about something no will care about in about in the near future.
  15. Read the article again. He compare the Forrest DEFENSE to Eagleville's, not the offense as you mention in your post. People are fans of their team. They will pull for their team and give all kinds of reasons WHY their team will win with 99% have never seeing the other play this season. We are nothing more than fans with orange or blue colored glasses. It will be a fun game to watch. Oh, & Buddha, I did laugh at a Chapel Hill guy saying a kid that didn't leave Mboro for his education doesn't have many life experiences. I'm sure there are a few who haven't left Marshall Co either. Good grief!!
  16. Cougars win 22-9. Led the entire game. I guess this is where Buddha again says MTCS hasn't played anybody & Eagleville is down this year. Should be a fun week. 8-0.
  17. Buddha, everybody knew if you just kept hitting MTCS the last few years we didn't have the mental toughness to withstand it.....it didn't matter how good you were. Now they do. I'm sure you haven't seen MTCS play a down yet this year, but I can assure you that the coaches who have seen film or played the Cougars know that the 7-0 record is not a joke.
  18. Every team has to play the schedule they are dealt. At every level your going to get some teams that just aren't very good. MTCS is much improved over last year & the most impressive part is their defense. Their front 8 is very impressive. In the past if you punched them in the mouth early, you could control the 2nd half. This is the first team in 4 years that I have seen that will stand in there in take the punch & punch back for 48 min. Each staff has an extra week to prepare. The key for Eagleville will be to sustain drives and eat clock. This is where other teams have struggled. MTCS offense is very good and can score quickly. If Winn gets time in the pocket, he can make any pass on the field & has really good options at WR. Coach Shambaugh has done a great job getting this team to buy in to his philosophy. These seniors were 1-19 in their first 2 years of HS football. It's pretty incredible that this group is where they are now. Because it is a rivalry, it should be close, but only if Eagleville can run time off the clock. If they don't, MTCS will put up points, and lots of them.
  19. MC was missing their best player but this was a beat down from the start. As good as the Cougars offense is, it's the defense that has been impressive. Three big games coming up after the bye week.
  20. Total split would be interesting, but I'm not sure everyone is thinking of what can really happen with a total split. Would it really be better? What if all of the privates pulled out of TSSAA & started their own league? That would then really open up the "recruiting" of the best players around because they could decide that recruiting is not illegal. Now the publics are losing the best players to the privates. Privates tend to have a pretty good following of fans that pay a lot of $$ at gates, does TSSAA & privates want to lose that revenue? I've seen regular season football games on TV where a large Nashville public school was playing a private and their couldn't have been 50 fans in the stands for the public school. Is that enough to support a football program? BTW, if you really believe the publics aren't out there recruiting kids, getting parents to move to certain zones, getting a kid to live with grandma in their zone, then you are a little blind to the entire situation anyways.
