Do you seriously think Lake County will play Humboldt man-2-man? If, they do then they are a better team than I think they are. Playing a man 2 man defense takes good boxing out & a good bench for subs due to the energy used playing man & foul trouble. I'll believe it when I see it, so Saturday we will see if they play a man defense!

Why haven't the ap polls come out yet? I thought they usually came about before x-mas but I might be wrong!

I think this should be a great game, If Lake county can hit the three's, a few turnover's and get on the boards this should be an exciting game. Also, both teams need to stay out of foul trouble if one teams gets into foul trouble early it could be a long night. From what people have been saying about lake county is that they like to take a lot of three's and Humboldt likes to run & gun and hit the offensive boards, this could be a problem for either team. If, lake county is off from 3 point line it will be along night, whoever handles the pressure and stay out of foul trouble will win this game. I think Humboldt needs to go inside and attack Lake county's big men and get them in foul trouble and if Lake County is playing Avery at the top of the defense, humboldt is going to kill them on the boards. Just my opinion of the game Saturday night.

It means that Greenfield has a 7'1 guy on the team. LOL

Even though you say Humboldt coaching is not that good, I still think one of them will go un-defeated. I do agree that the game with Lake county tuesday will determine if they have a shot at going un-defeated. Manassas still has some big tournaments to play in but looking at their schedule, I don't think a Memphis team will beat them. G.W. Carver might have a chance since the last game went to the wire.

What is the purpose of argueing about last years game, this is a new year and whether Manassas is better than Humboldt will be settled on the court. Everybody is talking about what the other is going to do( as fans) but the players are the ones that will play the game. Who knows what will happen but anything can happen on any given night with that said, let's not talk about the players on either team. I think this season is going to be a very interesting year, either Manassas or Humboldt will go undefeated this year & win the gold ball.( MARK MY WORDS)

We as Humboldt viking fans must be respectful when we lose or win! All of those teenagers are playing their hearts out & who are we to judge, the game is over and we should be thankful that no players got hurt. I know it's hard for any athlete to lose a game but us as fans should not be little another team because the old saying, " what go's around come around", so good job both Humboldt & Gibson county on a well played game. This game has been over for almost a week and people are still argueing about who is better!!! GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS THE REST OF THE SEASON!!!! GO VIKINGS

What was the score of the game tonight against Humboldt & greenfield?

I think if Humboldt had a coach for the past five years they would have won a couple of gold balls or silver. I think he( boykin) has coach beyond his days & it's time for a new coach with new ideas. Why would you put your starters back in the game if your up (30) thirty points, that shows no class at all. I think this year that he has a special team but without good coaching and team discipline they will be on the outside looking in again( state tournament). If, he can teach them how to play team ball/defense they can be a great team with their height and team quickness. Humboldt has a 6'6 (taylor) 6'7(crayton) a couple more athletes that can play but they must play within their limits. The tallest players on the floor want to shoot three's all the time, instead of going inside . If, the team was taught how to play a man to man defense, with the team depth, they would be unstoppable.
