Josh Pope-Forrest

I will go with Eagleville, Forrest and Huntland.

He is probably out for the season. He had ACL surgery about a month ago. Forrest has played a brutal schedule so far. From what I have seen, the district is pretty much up for grabs.

Great win for Eagleville. Forrest lost to Clarkrange. We did not play well defensively and really only had 2 players that scored.

If you want to talk about calls, or the absence of, the refs made up for it in the boys game. I believe they called 4 fouls on Clarkrange boys total. Two good games. Good luck to both teams.

We have them on the schedule this year, I hope they're not that dominant! We lost our best player last week to an ACL injury. We wish him the best!

Why have the games been changed?

Don't have a darn thing to do with me being cheap. It's the principle of the matter. They could of been charging a dime and I would of felt it was wrong. You shouldn't charge a fan base who did not charge you. Plain and simple. Oh, LTR, they also make money off of concessions so I don't see the relevance of that question. As to the home fans paying, that's fine. We payed for our Refs, ya'll should of also. One last thing, "Poogy", don't think I would of driven over to Murfreesboro three straight years and paid to support YOUR softball team in the State Tournament if I was that cheap. Principles, son, principles. I've said my peace on it. You can return to your topic. Now I will say my "peace". It's really none of your business what Forrest charges or not. It's none of Forrest business what Cascade does either. If you don't want to pay, stay at home.

I hope they charged you to get in. After being admitted for free at Cascade for a JV game, Forrest in return, charged us to play a JV game at their place. Said it was to cover the refs... Guess they thought the officials were free at Cascade. The thread was about how nice the facility was at Forrest, not how cheap you are.

If you go back and look at all classifications last year, some passed, some didn't. I am not concerned about other teams anyway, just ours. We have not and can not just line up and pound the ball on people. We do not have the personnel to do that. That leaves having a balanced offense, which we have not had either. The proof is in, when is the last time were we in the playoffs and when is the last time we have any won a playoff game? What we have been trying to do hasn't worked. Time for a Plan B.

I hope you are not comparing Oakland to Forrest or any other single A school. I know what wins championships but I also know if you are a good defensive coordinator and you know the other team is going to run the ball 90% of the time, what are you going to do? Stack the line and dare them to try and pass. If you don't have the passing game to compliment your running game, you're dead.

What you saw last year were seniors. Take a look at what you see on the court this year and get back to me.

I agree with everything you said except the part about Forrest throwing more this year. Throw to whom? They have one good receiver, Abrigo. Other than that, not much.

As far as single A is concerned, ever hear of Forrest School? Middle Tennessee? 2008 Single A State Champions/2009 Single A Runners Up.

Until the Rockets decide to have an actual balance between passing and running, they are never going to go far. Dane is an excellent quarterback, but all the speed in the school they could have at receiver, play basketball. If the coaches made a committment to throw, they probably would come out. Most of the basketball players played football in middle school. Not a knock, just a fact.

Of the teams I saw, Forrest, Westmoreland, and Franklin County all looked impressive. Forrest and Westmoreland both can get up and down the court and shoot very well. Franklin Co had size and speed. Columbia Central was there but I didn't get to see them. I was told they looked good.

That is an insult to all 6th graders.
