There were no cooler heads. Coach Growe said we cannot play if we dont start before 2:00. Coach Smith said our kids will not be ready until 2:00. Had a clap of lightning and a few sprinkles and Jackson South Side headed for the Bus.

dont know why Jackson South Side came to Lipscomb today, Coach was not interested in playing at all. At 1:10 coach was already to leave. Why do you drive about 2 hours to try to work a game in a 2 hour window. Waste of money and time for all involved.

In the Region and Sub-State you play 1 game to move on, Lose and go home. Summertown does have a lot of kids that go to the mound but no quality #1 pitcher. Mikey Minor Put you out 1 year, Drew Hayes Beat you one year. Summertown does not have a kid that can go to the mound an you know you are going to get a win aginst a quality team. None of the pitchers you listed are as good as Ivey and he couldnt do it. who did you list that has any chance of moving up to the next level?

Most Single A teams only have a few Athletes. these athletes play used to play all three sports. and as the schoo year ended these kids were getting tired. and if you get a nagging injury in football it carries on to basketball then baseball. It makes a hugh difference.

I believe what gives Summertown a large advantage is they do not have Football! Kids are Fresh in the other sports and not beat up from Football.

The Rice kid is a very top prospect at only a Soph. from Wayne co. Saw him play 2 games right out of football scorde 34, 27.
