May be minor point but even though a coach cant make a player less talented a coach can screw up a player and screw up a team full of players. The first few weeks of travel ball is painful trying to get all the stupid stuff some have been taught and not even considering the attitude, intensity, focus effort and etc that get screwed up in school ball by some of these coaches. Lots of good players go backward during school ball. Most aren't learning anything not good anyways and lots are getting taught the wrong things. I heard a pitching instructor talk about how if a school loses a football coach they go find the best football coach they can no matter what he teaches and make it fit with the classes they teach but if they lose a softball coach who teaches biology, they hire a biology teacher and find some teacher to coach softball. Im sure I screwed up what he was saying but you get the point. It isn't a title 9 violation but it should be. The girls are gettign cheated.

Like OBR has anything to do with any of this. Like we care about baseball. What does OBR have to do with softball. How about rugby or soccer rules. How do there obstruction calls differ. Baseball rules matter just as much as rugby and soccer do. So there aren't any OBR rules for safety. There might be some disagreement from the picture exactly when the plate was blocked and when the catcher caught the ball and you can't tell form the picture if the runner slowed down but the plate is blocked. Now you are saying standing on top of the plate. You changed the discussion from one post to the other and added to the rules. And if she slowed down to avoid contact with the catcher THAT IS NOT THE RUNNER"S FAULT THAT IS THE EXACT DEFINITION OF OBSTRUCTION. You have to protect that. Those are funny but I don't get the point. Doing this on bulletin boards is routinely met with legal consequences it isn't some obsolete law that is never prosecuted. The tennessean sends out cease and desist warnings to board owners who allow this and have been known to have boards shut down. Gannett isn't afraid to file legal charges. It happens a lot.

I think everybody understands that but that isn't the point. A lot of people don't join because the over bearing controlling actions by a few aggrivating people. Your posts are always good and they support your favorite team but some people seem to think they own the board. They bash every thing.
