  1. South's team played very well at the beginning of the season. Most teams improve as the season goes along...South's did not. They lost site of how to play as a team... It became all about the "show" and how many points can I score as an individual...They did not utilize their resources to the fullest. They should have played more of an inside game than they did....It's funny that when they played more of an inside out game they won.....Sad to say but yes that does have alot to do with the way they are coached...You can always speculate how these kids would have done under different coaching...I can promise you that these kids would not have quit under any other coach. Shame though, they did have the talent to do better and go further than they did........
  2. Bailey hopefully will be released by the doctor this Friday. Hopefully will be able to play by next week. He has to wear a face mask of course... He seems in good spirits.
  3. Cap, have you considered South's big man Logan Blair. I think he might be interested in playing some with your team. He is playing on Mondays and Thursdays in the 3 on 3 league at Volunteer with some kids from Central's team , but that only lasts a month. He is a nice kid and loves the game..........
  4. Anyone putting together a 17u boys team for this summer? Know of any tournament info or where I can find out this info? A reply would be much appreciated....... Thank you...................
  5. I would really like to know who to contact about this AAU team. I know of at least 2 young men that would love to play. Are there tryouts or are these kids handpicked. I would really love a reply. Thanks
  6. Who did the AAU team last year? Is anyone going to do it again this year? I would like to find out any info on this as I know several players that would love to play. Thanks......
  7. Guess I need to learn how to use this message board before hitting the reply button. I totally agree with this point of view as I am sad to say I myself have been a poor example of good sportsmanship at many a ballgame. I am very glad to say my son that plays ball is always a class act and is many time the example to me that I should be to him. I agree that it is up to us to act like adults and to set examples, but we (parents and spectators) are not the only "adults" there. What about the refs? What example do they set? Sounds like the refs let this game get way out of control long before the kids got into a fight. SAD! SAD! SAD! Why don't they take a little more pride in their JOB and try to call games responsibly. Not all refs have abandoned their responsibilty but sad too say many don't do it for the love of the game but for the easy money. There needs to be accountability so that things like this don't happen and more importantly no one gets hurt. By the way did anyone see that ref use an obsscene gesture at the South/Tennessee High game the other night? Where's the example in that?
