    6-AA tournament

Marion played good ball today against Hixson. They had great defense with only one error I believe and some good hits. Freshman Taylor Brown laid down two great bunts that moved the runners into scoring position twice! Tomorrow they face Sequatchie, which should shape up to be a great game. Good luck Lady Warriors, believe in yourselves, trust your team mates, and have fun:) GO PURPLE!!!!
  2. Marion County beat Hixson last night 15 to 1. Great job lady warriors!!! Keep it up! And please keep Marion County's second baseman Paige in your prayers. In a head on collision her collar bone was fractured.

    Marion over CCS

Marion county played amazing tonight! With the game tied 1-1 in the sixth inning, bases loaded, Morgan Henderson hits a grand slam, making it a 5-1 game. Marion went on to defend their lead with a 5-1 win over CCS. Great jobs ladies. Keep up the good work.
  4. Well, its the players responsibility to keep their self confidence up. The coaches can't do everything. The players have to be able to help themselves. And they aren't going to loose their confidence in one game, especially when they are playing GPS, a state tourney team. The only way for a team to gain experience is to play teams that are better. We are a very young team, with 1 senior, 2 juniors, and the rest sophmores and freshmen. We have a lot of experience to obtain.
  5. Howabout sequatchie? They should be pretty strong, they only lost their catcher last year. Any thoughts?
  6. Yeah, they don't have that many upper classmen but, the freshman and sophmore talent is great. They have such potential to become a state winning softball team.
  7. yes, she moved up north I think. But that's not a major loss, they can get along just fine.
  8. I played against Cooley in high school softball, and all I can say is that, the girl can play softball!!! In all my years of playing, I have never come across a player with such talent and determination. I wish her the best of luck her senior and in the years to come.
  9. What about Marion County? They have some pretty talented players coming up this year. And they only lost two seniors, I think their short stop and third baseman. Which there is more than enough talent to fill the spots. I think they will surprise alot of people this year. /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" />
