  1. wow, no love for middle TN's Dickson CO, one of the best teams in the state.
  2. So you are saying JCS will go from state champs to second in the district, wow with wins over Harding Academy, and Dyer County you would think they have already proven that they are far and away the team to beat in 15a. They are ranked number three in class a for a reason, I know you are Riverside fans but lets be realistic. With Adamsville's win over Humboldt, I think that shows why they are ranked number one in class a, but we will see how good they really are this weekend during the Tomahawk Classic. I think there will be some surprises and with the three top teams being the best in class a, who knows what the district will look like by tourney time.
  3. Manassas is up and down, by looking at their schedule you can see where they beat teams by 30 and then beat them by single digits, they are both wins but when you look at Humboldt and you look at their record you see a very consistent team who blows everyone out, their closest games where against Union City, Milan, and Middleton but all these game where double digit wins. I think consistency is huge, there is no letdown or stumbles against weaker opponents for Humboldt. I think Scotts Hill caught Manassas in one of those letdown games, in all honesty they should have beaten us by 20+ even on a neutral court. So with that being said its hard to judge Manassas, will they turn into the juggernaut they should be or will they be the one lets inferior teams hang around. No one has dented the Humboldt armor, and Scotts Hill could have been beat by 40 if Humboldt wanted to send a message. Humboldt is really tough, they have a better outside game than Manassas, and they force more turnovers than Manassas, but I still think they might play each other really tight if Manassas has one of their "on" games. Its easy to tell that Humboldt played in the tougher district, and they still won their district and region in convincing fashion, beating every team by 18 or more. While Manassas won most of their district and region games by 12 or less. So I would say Humboldt would be favored but, neither team has lost a class a game and Manassas last lost was three months ago. While Manassas seems to play sloppy sometimes they are familiar with putting games away in the clutch, but from what I have seen Humboldt is faster and has more elite level players and plays better as a team. I hope these two teams meet in the Boro, because it would be a classic.
  4. I am thinking, thinking of how Humboldt is 33 and 0, and how they have a positive turnover ratio despite their lack of a true PG. I am going to make this easy for you, if you force more turnovers than you make, who cares about a true PG.
  5. Because he doesn't know how to conjugate a verb, you have to know how to speak English to be on ESPN. Maybe he could be on ESPN deportes.
  6. Humboldt is forcing near 25 turnovers a game, if there guys turn it over less than they force, the issue of having true PG is moot. I have never seen a team that was so quick to jump pass routes, I think Humboldt would win the turnover battle against any class a team in the state. In the NBA, teams like the 90s Bulls didn't have a true ball handling PG, and they turned out alright.
  7. lol, he has accepted a track scholarship, and he is a track star for sure.
  8. JCS and Adamsville have this district on lock down, its just a fight for third after that, and maybe TCA after that. I know it will be uphill again for my Lions.
  9. 15a homer, I have seen Madison six times this year and every time they played better and better. Just like all the teams at this level, its more than one great player, even if she has scored 2,000 points in her career. GO MUSTANGS
  10. Manassas is only going 3a in football, 2a in bball
  11. I hate to talk bad about kids, but this is how I see Spencer and Zack, Spencer has average size ,and unless he grew three inches over the summer, would get bullied under the basket and his shooting, dribbling, and passing are well below Zacks. Zack has a lot of promise, the ability to play inside or out and is a good passer for his size, but he is very slim and for him to bang the boards he would have to put on some weight. Dillion does a lot of things well but doesn't excel in one area. I think this team will win district next year, but it has very little bench. None of these players played at the end of the season, and the only playing time they had was on the JV team. Next year is a mixed bag for me, I see the returning seniors but I also see the lack of experience and depth on our bench, it will take someone stepping up off the bench and claiming a spot for me to see this team getting back to this point next year.
  12. It was a joy to watch my Lions play the best team in the state, even though they got rolled and I was sweating in places that made it uncomfortable in the crammed seating. Humboldt shouldn't have much trouble mulling through class a this year and should be just as successful in 2a next year. The fans and students where some of the loudest and most polite I have seen this season. I will be rooting for the Vikings from the forums, as they cut down the nets in Murfreesboro. It was a great joy to see the Lions put up the best season in school history, one that will be talked about for years to come. Next year should be tougher without a true point guard, but with five starting seniors I like our chance to repeat as district champs, and who knows beyond that.
  13. After JCS and Adamsville how do you think the rest of the district will shake out.
  14. I heard Buckner was mad about what people on the thread said, and how he was mad and going to show everyone how good he really was, hmm they won by 12 and Buckner had a below average game for him. This is substate, I think that's all the extra motivation Humboldt will need. So let them come out mad or disrespected, I would love to see Humboldt play at their absolute best.
  15. Garbage was the only word ever used, so if it was derogative or harmfull, I didn't know and that type of language is uncalled for.
  16. Is there a difference between calling someone garbage and calling someone a joke, other than the position they are arguing.
  17. What is the difference between disrespecting a female poster and a male poster. This is all about someone calling someone else garbage, really, wow. It pretty much runs it self, I just get payed for posting, oh and kissing babies.
  18. Do it yourself, our individual stats are posted in the Jackson Sun. And as far as compete goes we beat the second seeded team out of Memphis, and we only lost by twelve to the third best team in the state, and that game was close all the way through. Basketball is more than having the most athletes if it was only about athletes we would not have beaten MC. So just because we don't have the same amount of athletes as Manassas you can't assume that these two team wouldn't play each other close every time they played. When I lived in KY I attended several kba aau events, but the ball here isn't the same so I don't travel to see it. When I lived in Middle TN, I would travel to see Marion and Hassler when they played in Clarksville.
  19. Sounds like its time to give up some respect, but I am sure you will say 12 points is a blow out.
  20. 12 points, I wouldn't call that getting "killed", another miss
  21. wow , you got this one wrong to.
  22. Man, you missed this one. Manassas is the only one you got right, no you got that one wrong also, lol.
  23. How many times have you seen Scotts Hill play, because I have watched every game this year, and I would call that one of their worst performances of the year. We are a 70% free throw completion team, and we usually don't turn the ball over 10 times in a game. So I am not sure I would say someone played to game of their lives unless I have seen more than two games.
