  1. prolly because he realized that he just wasn't that good......kinda like CA's whole baseball team ..... we watched him play post 19 last year for a few games and yea, not too pretty O lord here we go again. You can't get on Post 19/Post 19 jrs and not be "that good". He could start shortstop and bat top 2 for any team in the district. Grow up geezz. "He could start shortstop and bat top 2 for any team in the district" ha, just sayin, I dont know if he would start over staggs...i mean c'mon?
  2. WOW both regular season games between Cully and SF the winner had 40 points or less....Fridays game was very physical. There were 4 extra jersey numbers used due to bloody players, and 3 stoppages of play to clean up the bloody floor...chippy game all around. There was plenty of pushing and cheap shots during the game. The situation afterwords was probably a result of the high excitement and emotions, but when things calmed down it was ok. Looking forward to round 3!(offense,defense,physical, not physical) it will be a great game to watch. Keeping up with the tradition of adding something at the end of the post... Did I see coach Slatton actually shake the opposing teams hands?!?!?!? must be because they won and he felt good...too bad he couldnt act with class in a loss.
  3. Oh man....I don't make excuses. SF is playing terrible, or should I say, was playing terrible. I was getting worried(cullypride) about the attitude of the boys from SF, The four games over the break seemed to snap them into the trance of the last few years at SF. However, that ended on Tuesday night. That edge seemed to return 3 seconds before halftime. A SLEEPING BEAST. My advice to any team that plays SF is to keep them sleeping, but if there awake...get out of the way. To the more pressing matters, MT. Pleasant is by far playing the best ball right now. They will finish high in the district. 12A..GO AWAY! you really don't belong. Start a 11A vs. 12A thread if it really matters. The two guys that are having the cat/warrior fight. STOP. pick it up again when Cully plays at SF. I'm not saying SF is the best, but they are better than they were playing. I'm not going to guarantee anything, that's a stupid move right away. However, I would say that SF will not lose 8 straight games... they hopefully have got that look in their eyes back. Who knows? anything can happen. Their biggest rival is their next game. It's gonna be great! As always, good luck to everyone.
  4. WOAH...hold the phones guys...SF is 8-3 yes, but they should be 10-1. or 11-0. MTP definately won the the game. but SF got out-(everythinged)/ the only game of the year that the other team killed them on hustle and rebounding. The 2 losses in a row have been unfortunate. DCR took advantage of the 2 guards that were absent, while coffee county took notes and played great the next night. Dont lose that faith just yet boys SF will be in the top tier of the district. Also, watch them play, they dictate the pace of the game to fit their style. sure they dont score a lot of points, but they find ways to win. second half of the year will probably be great. good luck 11A!
  5. WOOOOOOOOOOO! everyone's gettin chippy... those early district games seemed to seperate the men from the boys...I think that the district race will be a battle til the last game. As for now though, any teams in the district have interesting or good matchups in the holiday tournaments?
  6. Well as we approach the break im wondering how everyone thinks the district is going to stand (mid-season predictions). As well as how everyone thinks our top 4 will stand against 12A...
  7. WHOA! an attempt at dignity?(muted by a feeble list of excuses) by no means turn into a "classy" individual now. Wheres that cullypride charm that motivated so many? So, welcome to THIS year! As the thread is titled, I think we can see that things will be different in the 09-10 season
  8. To answer your question yes...they can. Remember this same group won the county their 8th grade year in middle school. Not that it much matters now but they were better and more talented then, as they still are. Ok two things up top. One, its a new year, as much as we can poke fun at cully for the "recruiting" thing, we shouldnt. Thats (hopefully) in the past. Two, cullypride you totally just contradicted yourself "in middle school, not that it matters, but they still are.." Now to the game. This game has some interesting points. Cully seams to be a fast paced team as always, as SF has had a more half-court style to start the season. A coaches battle as well. Interesting to see if Speed(Cully) will match Balance(SF) If Im not mistaken, most of the starters have similar qualities...both have a shutdown shooter, lengthy slasher, smart pg, and agile post play... if I had to guess, it will be the bench players that make a key difference.. I believe that in fact, SF has more experienced starters than Cully does this year, however the Cully players have been in bigger games( well see if that has any affect on the game) Win or lose I think it will be a great game, good luck to both sides!
  9. WOAH? SF is 5-0? I thought they have only played 4 games? well...they play tonight, and yes Monkey your right. Most people in SF are probably glad the team is undefeated, but i dont think many mouth off like some of the other teams fans....
  10. I agree that the teams have bad recoerds now. I think two of them are 2a? But I also don't think, looking at the other teams in the districts schedules, that SF schedule has had the most cupcakes on it to start the season. Thanks monkey, it seems like weve agreed this year on most things through a mutual respect of rivals. One day the not so respectable people will feel our wrath...but for now good luck to CA, as I dont think SF plays you until after the break.
  11. LEADFARMERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! buddy, welcome back. And if I may, he came back with a strong showing. Richlands fan may be wrong, but they look GOOD, as does the district. So much for all that weak district stuff, right?
  12. NICE! this is panning out to be a great year. I anticipate lots of good games. Good luck to 11A tonight!
  13. Thanks Ty, must have been a good performance. Looking forward to seeing Mt. Pleasant play, they have lots of athletes and I think one outstanding one. Now we just need someone from hampshire and richland. Good luck to 11A tonight!
  14. greenwheel, where are you from? you know a lot about most of the teams. How are you in the loop so well?
  15. yeah most district games will probably be tight this year, looking forward to the start of them. I agree luv and cullypride that culleoka will be a competitive team. Are you still running two-a-days? They have a competitive coach, and will play well in most games. Interested to see them in district action. What was the Aaron Academy score?
  16. We have representation...but right now it's weak...the teams will come around and make us proud! TN all the way!
  17. Definately both good teams-I was just thinking that Cornersville had more pieces to the puzzle. Now I guess it will be a more interesting season in districts and region, but always go 11A!
  18. nomad, I agree with everything but I believe CA and Richland will switch, the CA girls are not as expierienced as Richland is... who knows, Cornersville may be dethroned when district action starts..hold on so your tellling me its a week into the season and MT. Pleasant is undefeated? haha.
  19. as the season has progressed Central's D has improved...but they still are hit or miss, by that i mean that a different offensive weapon seems to do well against them in different games...right now, i do have to agree that passing d might be their smallest strength, but in the championship, i think it will be beech's run game that makes it a good game. In the end, go Lions!
  20. Yes, ive been to 5 or so Central games this year, including their only loss(where run d was inneffective)...they are a different team and have gotten better as the year has gone on...again good win and good luck against beech!
  21. Lets shift it towards offense as it may be high scoring game. On the Columbia side, they have quite the QB/WR combo.
  22. Hawn is good, but now as most teams have played a few games we may start seeing more people step up big for there teams. Anyone have another girl to put on the list. Or add support?
  23. Re: District 11A! New Champion this season? by thebigman52 » Sat Nov 28, 2009 12:03 pm We do need to get some input from some Mt. Pleasant, Richland, and Cornersville fans on here. Those are three teams that i think will bring some competition. Culleoka, CA, Richland, Cornersville (maybe), and Mt. Pleasant (maybe) will be all good games against each other i think. I think those five teams are pretty even. Yeah we have a couple of informants from cornersville(greenwheel and leadfarmer){but he hasnt been on in forever} I have yet to have read from any hampshire, mt. pleasant, or richland fans this year. Not trying to start another fight or anything but I think all of the teams in the district this year will play each other well. Ive been trying to think of a clearcut #1 and a definate LAST, but its hard right now. Personally, I believe it will be all about the top 4-5 teams this year(maybe the regular season champ will win by 2 or 3 games) I think it will be that close.
