  1. Region or District doesn't matter, the better team won. If CPA was in a weak district/region they still would be a good team, and the outcome would've been the same. Hats off to CPA, you guys played a good game. SH could've played better, but sometimes the way you play is due to your opponent. I'm rolling with CPA to keep the gold ball in Mid-Ten, Go Lions!!!!!
  2. Lol...I would never take these post personal. I guess we'll find out how Spring Hill fairs against teams in the Boro. My thing is, you don't know how Liberty would do against Spring Hill,CPA,etc. However you constantly talk about how Liberty is gonna take it all. I respect your opinions, but that's why you play the games. Good luck and may the best team win!
  3. Marshall County isn't in it obviously, however I have very strong ties to Spring Hill. Actually I played at Marshall County but live in Columbia, and have a stepson that plays for Spring Hill. How about that, Go Raiders!!!!!!!!
  4. I'm taking Spring Hill to bring the championship home. I think they have all the right pieces to win it all. No disrespect to the other teams. But this Spring Hill squad is made up of the same players that battled Kendren Johnson(Marshall Co. now Vanderbilt). If you could play with Marshall County with a group of sophomores, that's saying a lot. Those sophomores are now seniors. The fab 4, Dathan, Kiont, Keilan, and Montrae will represent. The x-factor will be Sparkman. Let the games begin!!!!
  5. I'm representing Mid-Ten, and I'm taking Spring Hill or CPA. Book it!!!!!
  6. First exhibition game of the year and Liberty is gonna be playing for a gold ball, we'll see. Kedren has to do too much? Sounds like Kendall had to do just as much. Anyway, good game, gotta get ready for Bolivar tomorrow. Guess MC will lose by 10+ tomorrow to huh Nebuntyn? Such a MC hater, LOL!!!!!!!
  7. Having players out for football can be a major set back if the players are starters. In Marshall Co.'s case, they have at least 2, but that's irrelevant now since they got beat. So btownbasketball based on your comment, which was play with what you have. I'll take that as if you have 2 or more starters that are out it shouldn't affect your teams play. Anyway, good luck to all, and Go get 'em MC Tigers.
  8. I don't know what Bolivar or Liberty will have this year, but I do know that Marshall Co. will be one of the best teams in AA. Kedren will have a great year as usual, but won't have to carry this team. They have other players that can play ball. Of course Kedren is the best player on the team, and would be at a lot of schools. But just because your the best player on a team, doesn't mean you have to carry your team. Kedren will see a lot of double teams, but will dish it off to other ball players. I will say this, if Bolivar or Liberty want to beat MC, this classic would be a good shot. The reason why I say this(no disrespect to Bolivar or Liberty),is because we have 2 starters and a few more that are still in football, and even if they lose in the playoffs this Friday, will only have a few days of bball under their belt. The chemistry, not to mention basketball legs, won't be there. Good luck to all teams and Go Marshall Co.!!!!
  9. Just wanted to know who made all tournament AA in the Boro?
  10. Congrats Bolivar you guys played tough and seemed more hungry than Liberty. I expected to see Nebuntyn on here talking about "book it". Guess he's in hiding now. It's been a long exciting road to the Boro this year, and I'm proud of my boys(Marshall Co.) on a great season. I have no argument in this race, but if Bolivar beat Liberty 4 out of 5 times, there can't be any excuses about who was the better team. Great job to both teams though, hopefully we'll(Marshall Co.) see you guys back next year. Everyone be safe and god bless!!!!
  11. I don't think he's a slam dunk to win it, just think he's the better player. What do you need to go by, points, assists, rebounds, etc? I've never understood the whole voting process or who even gets to vote. I don't think Kedren is averaging more points than the other two, but I'll bet he has more scholarship offers, and to me that says a lot about a player. I'm willing to bet that major D1 schools have more of an eye for talent than most fans that post on here. You don't get major D1 offers as a sophomore or junior without being special. With that said, Kedren Johnson(Marshall County) gets my vote, but my vote doesn't count. Good luck to all!!!!!!
  12. Toinemac, Bolivar will be playing for a gold ball, but far from a great team. Great teams don't always find a way to win, an average team can find a way to win. Bolivar made a great comeback, and the fans should feel good. Like I said before, you guys get on here and build these teams up to be more than what they are. All I hear about is how weak everything outside the west is. It's not hating, it's about respect. I'm not going back and forth defending Marshall, this game is between Bolivar/Liberty. Just know that if you think the only basketball is being played in the west, you need to travel more. Good luck to all, and Marshall will see you at the Boro next year!
  13. If Kedren doesn't get Mr. Basketball something is wrong. You can't always go by stats because the three finalist don't play the same same schedule. With that said, Jalen Steele didn't show me anything against Bolivar and that will probably do him in. I don't know much about the Lester Wilson kid, but I do know that Maplewood thumped them. If your truly going to pick a Mr. Basketball winner he should be the leader of your team and Kedren takes that by a long shot. If anybody was at the Marshall Co./Bolivar game when Kedren fouled out, and heard the Bolivar fans cheering. You would truly know what kind of impact this kid has on a game. He doesn't have to score 40 points to make a difference, he just does it all. He's been consistant all year regardless the venue. He plays the same night in and night out. I just haven't seen him rattled at all. He always want the ball in his hands regardless of the situation. So talented, so poised, and just a junior. Congrats to Jalen and Lester, but Kedren should be your AA Mr. Basketball winner.
  14. Congrats to Bolivar and Liberty. However, I just didn't see anything special at all from Bolvar. I'm not hating, just expected after hearing all year how great Bolivar/Liberty was, I expected more. Marshall probably had like 30 turnovers, but 15 could've been called fouls. Marshall was clearly better than Bolivar, and I don't expect any Bolivar fans to agree, but if you were at the game you saw it yourself. Marshall got out coached, not out played. The game was ours to win, and we didn't. I can't speak for Liberty, but the best team didn't come out of Bolivar/Marshall's bracket. Nebuntyn, you got your wish with Bolivar/Liberty, but please do me a huge favor. Please stop building these overrated West Tenn. teams up to be so great. Bolivar/Liberty are good, but far from great. You're always posting how somebody's going to win by 20+(particularly west tenn. teams). It's ok to be a fan, but be honest with yourself. By the way if Kedren Johnson doesn't get Mr. Basketball something is terribly wrong. He is by far the only player in AA that can't be checked one on one. We had a great year(Marshall), and any unbiased fan that was at the game clearly saw who the better team was. The best team doesn't always win though, but if you're going to talk down on east and mid. tenn. be sure that your team is truly that much better. No disrespect to any Bolivar/Liberty fans, just the one that constantly talks so much about how west is better than everybody else(specifically Nebuntyn). I'm clearly a Marshall fan, but I refuse to get on here before a game and tell you how many points my team is better than yours. I'll end this by saying, great year Marshall Co. and congrats to Bolvar/Liberty.
  15. Should be a good game, I doubt Bolivar wins by 20+ though. Marshall is a totally different team from last year, Bolivar is about the same. Bolivar probably lost more talent than Marshall did this year(Reaves,Crisp), and Marshall probably gained more(Perryman,Peterson,Anderson,Crutcher). We'll see Friday at 1:30. Good luck Tigers....Marshall County that is!!!!!
  16. I know absolutely nothing about Tyner, but if they made it this far they've got to be decent. I'm a Marshall fan so I got to roll with them. Like I've said in previous posts, every team has a chance to win. Good luck and Go Tigers!!!
  17. Nebuntyn, you always claim to follow basketball, so I'll assume you're at all the games? Think not! You follow bball just like most people, online and in the newspaper. If you followed bball so much, you would've known that Marshall beat the brakes off Lincoln Co. and Tullahoma the second time around. If you followed bball you would've known that Marshall had 3 starters(Perryman,Anderson,Peterson) that came from football late. Marshall had no chemistry when the season first started. As of right now, I'll no longer reply to haters that don't know what they're talking about. So stick to teams that you've seen play more than once, and stop basing your opinion on what you read in the paper and online about teams you haven't seen play. Go Marshall Co. and good luck to all the teams!
  18. You can throw all the rankings out the window at this point. Everyone has a right to root for his/her team, but to be on here saying who will beat who is ridiculous. Surely somebody's going to be right, because 1 team will win it, but you know what? 7 teams are gonna lose, so come next Saturday night you'll be hearing "See what had happened was....". The games will be played on the court and not on this message board. Everybody constantly talks about how good their team is, but couldn't tell you what anybody else has. Every team that's going to the Boro wants to win, and has a chance to win. Who ever wins it, deserves it, because at this stage there are no upsets. Every team that got there, didn't get there by luck. I don't know enough about all the teams that will be playing, so I'd be a fool to say who Marshall County could beat. I don't know how Marshall County will do next week, but if we could beat Creek Wood and Spring Hill 3 times, we can play with anybody. I don't think there's very many teams in AA as big as Creek Wood was. Marshall County has adjusted to every team they've played thus far, and I don't see that changing any next week. However, does that mean they'll win? Don't know, but we'll find out shortly. Go Marshall County Tigers!!!
  19. Take these post seriously? Lol I think it's hilarious. I have no reason to take these post personal. I'm a die hard Marshall Co. fan and have a nephew that plays for them. Unless something is said to him or about him it's all fun for me. Nebuntyn, u seem a little too serious about Liberty though. Your very confident about Liberty considering they did lose to Bolivar 3 times. Good luck to all, and I'll see everyone next week. Go Tigers!!!
  20. I don't know who will win the AA state crown, but I will say that it's an 8 team race and not 3. Every team that's there, deserves to be there. Regardless what me or any other fan thinks or has to say. Fans get on here and talk so much about their teams and don't know very much or anything at all about the other teams. I'm a Marshall County fan and will not talk stuff because regardless how much I talk, I'm not the one that'll be lacing up my shoes come next week. When it's all said and done, everybody that has their team winning, will be the same ones on here talking about how somebody had an off game, the court was too slippery, the refs made bad calls, etc. Every team that's in it, has a chance to win it. Good luck to everyone, especially Marshall County. Go Tigers!!!!
  21. Should be a great game Thursday night 7 pm @ East Hickman, who you got? You know I'm pulling for my boys from Marshall County, Go Tigers! Yeeeeaaaah, O Let's Do It!
  22. Kobedoinwork, I'm so tired of coming on here trying to defend Marshall County. Why does everybody keep talking about how CW would win a series against Marshall. You need to talk to the TSSAA about changing their playoff format. This is high school, not the NBA. Teams could cry about that every year. How can you say that CW is better, when most of the year in the AP poll Marshall was ranked higher. As for Kedren not being a D1 prospect, I think thats something for Bruce Pearl, Kevin Stallings, Rick Pitino, etc. to decide and not a biased fan. Besides that Kobe, how many times have you saw Kedren or Marshall County play? Exactly! You're talking about average players, CW had just that or below average players. Since your in the recruiting business, how many players from CW would you send D1? My hats go off to all the CW players, just tired of all the negativity towards MC. This is really enough about CW & MC, any other comments need to be toward Spring Hill vs Marshall County Round 4. Go Tigers!!!
  23. Wbladyvol & clownshoes are such sore losers. CW lost to a good Marshall team & all I hear is how CW was off their game. Well sometimes your off because the other team is playing defense. I guess all the games CW won, the other teams were off their game? My hat goes off to all the CW players for being a class act. I was thinking that going into the game that CW would be like clownshoes(cocky & over confident). If Marshall had lost to CW, I wouldn't have made any excuses because CW has a good team. Great game & great job Marshall County, keep it up.
